Chapter 1: Chapter 1
It was a strange place, this basement. It was dark, and cold, and damp, and full of dust and cobwebs. I blinked blearily, my head aching as I raised it from the table to take in my surroundings. The light from the computer was enough to see by, but everything else was in shades of grey. The floor was covered with a worn carpet, the walls were covered in brick. posters dressed the wall, and a drawing tablet was sitting in the corner. What the heck is going on here?' I thought to myself as I squinted up at the ceiling. It was low and dingy, as if no one had cleaned in months. The only light came from the small, old-school lightbulbs that were scattered about the room. They cast a soft glow on the ancient computer I blinked again, and the world became clear. The basement was indeed dingy, but the light from the computer was enough to illuminate the room There was a door at the far end of the room, and a window high above the door. Both were covered in dark curtains, making the room feel even darker than it was.A door opened, and a rectangular light with a fluffy anthropomorphic silhouette was casting light to the floor and walls. "I made breakfast!" and the shadow walked away. leaving the door open. i decided to walk out the door, and go up the stairs. I need air,' I thought as I stepped into the gloom beyond the kitchen. 'This place is suffocating me.' I didn't know where I was going, but I knew I had to get out of this place. My legs moved with surprising swiftness, and before I could really grasp what was happening, I found myself on the top step of the staircase. The smell of waffles and bacon decorated the air in a comforting feeling. Thank god, it smells like home,I thought as I inhaled deeply. Then, I felt the warmth of a body pressed against my back. "Hey, whats your name?" A creature with white, pink and blue fur and 4 ears, one pair being like a cat, the other being like a dog. "Taylor. whats yours?" you replied. "My name's Crystal!" the creature said, turning to face you. It had a kind face, with its pink and blue eyes making direct eye contact
