Chapter 1: Chapter 1

I was sitting in the car, waiting for my ride. It was a rainy night, and I was getting impatient. I was supposed toI guess I was just being overly cautious. I had heard stories about this place, but I had never actually been here myself. I had always been too scared to venture into the city after dark, let alone this dodgy-sounding place in the middle of nowhere. The address seemed to change every time I looked at it, and Google Maps hadn't helped me much either.Finally, my ride showed up, and I got in.

The place was a rundown apartment building, two stories of cheap brick. The door was unlocked, which I thought was strange, but I guess it was common here in the bad part of town. Inside, it was dark, dingy, and smoky.
