Chapter 1: Chapter 1
I was in college. It was just a regular day. I saw a girl little sad sitting near college food court. It was a beautiful day in late September. The sun was shining through a soft cloud cover and the air was cool enough to feel comfortable without a jacket but not so cool that you couldn't enjoy a light sweater. Leaves were changing colors, fluttering to the ground like confetti. Everything was right in the world.
I asked her why she was sad. She told me it is her first time away from home and she is worried about her adaptability to this new place. I said. You are overthinking it. I've done it myself. Her eyes welled up with tears and she stopped me mid-sentence. I remembered my first day in college hostel how sad i was on my first day.
Her eyes were very beautiful and the moment i looked into her eyes time seem to stop. Time stood still for us both when we made eye contact. There wasn't anything else happening around us. Nothing at all.
We talked for some more time exchanged our numbers and then both left for our rooms.
CHAPTER 2 :- The Beginning of something Beautiful
As we left the food court, my heart swelled with disbelief - the beautiful girl I had just met had shared her number with me. Yet, a nagging voice whispered within, taunting me with doubts and disbelief: was this too good to be true? With bated breath, I awaited her text and my phone remained silent, leaving me to wonder if my luck had run out before it had even begun.
Finally after 3 days i got a text from her saying she was hoping that i will text her. I poured out my heart to her, confessing that the fear of rejection had been holding me back from reaching out as this has never happened to me in past. As we continued to exchange words, In that moment I knew even if things didn’t work out between us. I would always be grateful for the chance to know her and the sweet joy of passing this moment in time.
