"Teacher, I can't cast the spell!"
"Try again, I'm sure you'll get it this time."
" But I don't have enough power! What am I supposed to do with this powerlessness?"
These were the words of my student Dc I met in the Mages Guild the other day.She was complaining about her lack of power, and I told her that all mages had to start somewhere.
"But I'm not ready!" she screamed at me. "Why must I wait until I'm ready? You must teach me!"
My heart sank as I looked at her tear-streaked face.She was a beautiful girl, and I knew that she could be a great mage, but she was so young and inexperienced. It takes time, my love," I said to her. "You must practice every day. Do not give up."
"But how can I practice if I can't cast a spell?" she whined.
