Chapter 1: Chapter 1

First encounter between Evil and Justice "I'm going to kill you," I hiss as I lunge at her. My fists are caked in mud, my knuckles white on the fists of steel that are my gauntlets. The only thing keeping me from ripping her apart is the fact that she's tied up. Her wrists are bound together, and her legs are stretched out in front of her. "Die, die, die!"I scream as I pound my fists against her body.

Her eyes widen as she sees me coming. "You can't kill me! I'm immortal!" She laughs evilly, and her chest puffs like a lion roaring from a high cliff. "And even if you did kill me, I'd just come back as a plant."

"Plants don't have immortal souls, Ivy," I counter. "You'll be a mindless plant, no longer a beautiful being."

"Beautiful? You think I'm not beautiful now?" She winks, and her dark eyes crinkle with mischief. "Well, you're about to find out."

Ivy doesn't need to say anything more. Her dark eyes say it all. They're full of life, and they're shining with joy.As much as I would love to continue our battle, I can't deny the fact that she's right. There's something so alluring about the way she speaks. It makes me want to listen to her, to hear what else she has to say. So instead of killing her, I watch her. And as she watches me, her eyes crinkle with tears. She wants me to stop. But I don't want to stop. Not yet.

"Why do you want to become a plant, Ivy?" I ask her. I'm not playing around. I want to know why she's doing this to herself. Why she thinks this will make her immortal.

"Why do you think I don't already know that?" She teases, and her eyes crinkle with more than just mischief. "Oh, I've been planning this for years. Waiting until I was strong enough to take over the world. That's why I'm so powerful. Because I've been planning this for so long."

She reaches for my wrists, and I pull away. "You're not strong enough to take over the world, Ivy. Not by yourself."

"Don't tell me you don't see how powerful I am."She smirks, and her eyes crinkle with more than just mischief. "I've taken over the world before, and I'll do it again. Just watch."

"No, I don't watch." I watch her, though. I want to see her try. I want to see her try and fail and try and fail and see her finally give up. "If you think you're so strong, why don't you try taking over the world without your precious plants?" I lean forward, resting my elbows on my knees, and rest my chin on my hands.

"Because I need the plants. Without the plants, I'm nothing." She's bluffing, and I know it. Even if she didn't have the plants, she'd still be a force to be reckoned with."Now, let's see you fight without your little friends."

"They're not little, and they're not friends," I counter. "They're weapons, and I use them to fight my enemies. Enemies who happen to be human."

"Human? I thought you said you were going to kill us all, Alexander Pierce. But now you're telling me that we're human? What kind of sick game are you playing?" She smiles evilly, and her eyes crinkle with more than just mischief. "And why do you look so concerned, Mr. Pierce? Are you worried that I'll kill you?"

"I'm worried that you'll try." I watch her as she considers my words, and her eyes crinkle with more than just mischief. "
