Iyana looked down at her phone. 11:41. She'd been sitting in her car for over three hours now. She'dbeen waiting for her sister, Rialaisha, to arrive so they could go shopping.
Rialaisha was late. Again. Why do you need to go shopping so badly, Iyana?" her mother asked as she parked her car behind Iyana's. "You have enough money to last you a lifetime."
"It's not about money, Mom.It's about getting what I want." Iyana grabbed her purse from the passenger seat and opened the door. "And what I want is a beautiful dress to wear to the party this weekend. I need it bad because some guy I met wants to take me out and I don't want to go unless I look good."
"Well, he can wait.
