Chapter 1: Late Night Feed
The glow from John’s laptop screen painted harsh rectangles of light across the dorm room ceiling. Below, sprawled across the rumpled sheets of his king-sized bed, John shifted. His thumb moved in slow, firm circles against the thin cotton of his grey briefs, the friction a low, insistent thrum against the building pressure beneath. His other hand hovered near the spacebar, ready to pause the video playing.
On screen, the visual was mesmerizing in its specificity: a seamless loop of smooth, round forms expanding under unseen pressure, stretching taut synthetic material with impossible, gradual force. It wasn't the grotesque stuff, not really. It was the build-up, the exquisite tension of controlled inflation, the surrender to form. His breath hitched slightly, a soft sound lost beneath the muffled bass thumping through the wall from the party down the hall. He adjusted his hips, the worn mattress springs groaning softly in protest.
"Damn, Peters, keep it down!" someone shouted indistinctly from outside his door, followed by a burst of laughter. John ignored it, his focus narrowing to the screen, to the rhythmic pulse of his own thumb. Posters of grinning linebackers and gleaming trophies watched blankly from the walls, silent witnesses to a secret far removed from Saturday touchdowns.
"That's it," he mumbled, his voice thick in the quiet room, aimed at the screen. "C'mon, baby. Fill right up." The air smelled of stale pepperoni from the half-eaten box shoved under his bed and the chemical tang of cheap laundry detergent clinging to the heaped clothes on his desk chair.
He increased the pressure, the heel of his palm now grinding down. The sensation coiled tight in his gut, a familiar heat spreading. The figures on screen reached their peak tautness, holding… holding… just before the inevitable release the video always denied. This was the edge he liked. The suspended tension.
His gaze, slightly unfocused from concentration and the hypnotic visuals, drifted absently to the dark rectangle of his laptop screen. It held a reflection of the ceiling, the posters, the messy room… and himself. His own face, eyes half-lidded with building pleasure, blonde hair mussed.
Then, the reflection shifted.
It wasn't his own relaxed expression staring back. The reflected jaw elongated slightly, distorting. The familiar curve of his lips stretched into something else entirely—a grotesque rictus grin, seared and fissured like overcooked leather. Charred flesh replaced healthy skin. And the eyes… deep-set sockets, burning with malevolent amusement, utterly alien and horrifyingly familiar.
Freddy Krueger grinned back at him from the screen.
John’s hand froze. The heat in his gut didn't vanish; it twisted, souring into icy terror that shot up his spine like a lightning bolt. His throat locked. Every muscle seized. The rhythmic pulse of his thumb became a rigid claw embedded in the damp cotton.
No. Impossible. Stupid glitch. Bad angle. The frantic thoughts crashed into the sheer, impossible wrongness of that burnt visage superimposed over his own reflection. The grin widened, impossibly wide, revealing rows of yellowed, jagged teeth within the ruined lips. It wasn't just an image. It was awareness. It was looking out.
A choked gasp tore from John’s throat, more a wheeze than sound. He tried to flail back, to scramble away from the screen, but his limbs were leaden. The familiar fantasy, the safe, private tension, curdled violently. Instead of the smooth, controlled expansion he craved, a sickening pressure bloomed inside him, deep and visceral. It wasn't a fantasy anymore. It felt like violation, like something forcing its way in, expanding where it had no right to be. He felt impossibly full, stretched to tearing, a balloon inflated with horror.
He tried to scream. A raw, primal sound ripped from his chest, aimed at the grinning demon in the glass. But before the sound could fully form, erupt into the room, alert the party-goers, summon help – the mattress lurched.
Not the springs. The very fabric of the thin dorm mattress surged upwards beneath his back. It enveloped him like a suffocating wave, thick and yeasty-smelling, moldering. It pressed hard against his open mouth, stuffing itself between his teeth, gagging him. The scream died instantly, muffled into a thick, wet gurgle. He tasted dust and mildew and ancient foam.
Panic detonated. He thrashed wildly, but the mattress held him pinned, heavy as wet sand. His eyes, wide with terror, darted back to the laptop screen. Freddy's reflection was clearer now, leaning forward, the charred face filling the frame. The red and green sweater stripes seemed to writhe.
John’s frantic struggles subsided into trembling rigidity, his airways laboring against the mattress plugging his mouth. The awful internal pressure intensified, a cruel mockery of his secret desire, now a source of excruciating, nauseating agony. His vision darkened at the edges.
A whisper, impossibly close, slithered directly into his ear, bypassing the muffling mattress. It wasn't sound carried on air; it was etched onto his eardrums, scratchy and gleeful. "Heard you like things... filling up, Johnny-boy. Let's see how much you can really take."
A cold point, impossibly sharp, pricked the flesh just above his hip bone. Not through the mattress. Through the sheet, through his briefs. A single finger. Razor-sharp.
The terror wasn't just external anymore. It was in his bones, in the grotesque pressure building inside him, in the feel of that claw tracing a slow, deliberate line upwards towards his ribs. The dark reflection on the screen pulsed with silent laughter. Outside, the party bass thumped on.
The party bass thumped on. A relentless, stupid heartbeat from down the hall, completely oblivious. Inside John’s skull, a different rhythm pounded: terror, pure and liquid, flooding every synapse. The mattress pressed down, a suffocating, yeasty-smelling weight. It shoved against his teeth, filled his nostrils. He could only draw thin, whistling breaths through his nose, each one tasting of dust and decay. His eyes, wide and rolling, stayed locked on the laptop screen.
Freddy’s reflection didn’t waver. It leaned closer in the dark glass, the charred flesh seeming to ripple, the grin stretching impossibly wide around those jagged teeth. The red and green stripes of the sweater writhed like sluggish serpents. Those burning eyes held John pinned as effectively as the mattress.
The cold, razor-sharp point hadn't stopped. It traced a deliberate, agonizingly slow line upwards from his hip bone. Not scratching. Not yet. Just… marking. Owning. The path felt like frostbite spreading under his skin. The awful internal pressure, the sickening parody of his secret desire, pulsed in time with the claw’s movement. He felt stretched thin, fragile, like a balloon filled with acid.
Thump. Thump. THUMP. The bass from the party. Laughter echoed faintly.
Freddy’s reflection tilted its head. A low chuckle, like stones grinding together, vibrated inside John’s ear canal. "Tickles, doesn't it, Johnny?" The whisper slithered directly into his brain. "Bet you like the attention. Bet you like feeling… full." The claw paused, the point resting just below his lowest rib. Applying the faintest, most terrifying pressure. "But let's see what you're really hiding."
John tried to buck, to twist away from that point of icy horror. Futile. The mattress held him immobile. A whimper, thick and muffled by the fabric gag, escaped him. His mind screamed denial, but his body registered every inch of that claw’s journey, the anticipation worse than the actual touch. Where was it going? What was it going to do?
The claw moved again. Not up. Down. Back towards his hip. Dragging slowly, deliberately, over the taut cotton of his briefs stretched across his lower abdomen. The sensation wasn't pain, not yet. It was the pure, existential dread of vulnerability. The fabric offered no protection. The sharpness teased the weave.
Thump. Thump. Someone shouted drunkenly down the hall.
Freddy’s reflection seemed to savor it. "Nice threads, champ. Comfy?" The claw snagged. Just a tiny catch on the elastic waistband. John felt it like an electric jolt. His breath hitched, straining against the mattress. "Let's get a better look."
The claw hooked.
And pulled.
There was no slow tear. No dramatic rip.
It was a sudden, brutal shredding. The sound was obscene in the muffled quiet of the room – a sharp snick-snick-snick as the fabric yielded instantly to the impossible sharpness. The grey cotton briefs disintegrated. Literally tore apart along the path of the claw’s pull, from hipbone to hipbone across his lower belly. Shredded strips of fabric curled away like ribbons sliced by a laser, fluttering uselessly onto the mattress.
Exposure. Instantaneous and shocking. The cool air of the room hit newly bared skin, raising instant goosebumps.
John froze. Not just from terror. From utter violation. His secret, hidden self, the core of his private fantasy, laid bare not just physically, but exposed under the gaze of that monstrous reflection. The feeling wasn't arousal. It was raw, scraping humiliation mixed with the icy grip of terror. The internal pressure seemed to balloon suddenly, agonizingly tight, a direct response to the violation.
The claw didn’t stop. It hovered now, naked and gleaming with reflected laptop light, mere millimeters above his exposed skin. The grin in the reflection widened into something truly sadistic. The whisper slithered back into his skull, thick with dark promise.
