Chapter 1: Chapter 1
The bride and groom both looked magnificent in their elaborate wedding attire. The groom's dark hair fell perfectly around his face, and his dark eyes shimmered with joy. The bride's golden hair tumbled around her shoulders, and her pale skin glowed with health. Her fiancé, the dashing and debonair Lord Galtionie, gazed at her with adoring eyes.
The church bells rang out as the couple made their way down the aisle. "God bless this union," the vicar said solemnly, "in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost." A simple yet beautiful prayer. The bride and groom kissed, and the bride smiled. The groom-to-be beamed with pride. Tis a wondrous thing, marriage. Even more so, a wedding in a church. It brings a sense of peace and well-being, doesn't it? I wonder what it would be like to marry in a church, every day.To pray in a church, every day. What an honour.
The bride and groom exchanged rings. "With this ring, I thee wed ", the groom said, placing his hand on the bride's finger, "and with my body I thee consecrate.Amen." The bride responded with a simple, "Amen," and the couple was married.
The groom-to-be had been in a fight with his best man over the choice of bride. The bridesmaids whispered about the groom, how he was vain and self-centred, but none of that mattered on the day.All that mattered was that he loved her, and she loved him. The bride smiled. The groom-to-be beamed with joy. This is my wedding day. The happiest day of my life. Today I become a wife, and with this ring I thee wed. And with my body I thee consecrate. Amen."
Amen.
