Chapter 1: Opening Image
---
What's the point of being in love if you can't brag about it in the most extra way possible? My best friend, Jeff, and I are not exactly dusty roses in aging vases, if you catch my drift. It's not that we're arrogant, exactly – or at least, I try not to be. But it's true that people tend to look twice when we walk into a room. Jeff is like clean-shaven Clark Kent without the glasses; he certainly knows how to make an entrance.
And as for me, well, let's just say I know how to play the part of the coquettish Lois Lane. There's just something about that charming, ambitious man that makes my thighs tremble. We're perfect for each other, a match made in heaven—and I've got the wedding Pinterest board to prove it.
"Rhonda, are you even listening?" Jeff, with his piercing blue eyes and chiseled jawline, interrupts my daydreaming. .
I'm startled out of my reverie, and blush as I realize I've been caught lost in thought. "I'm sorry, what was that you just said?" I asks, trying to recover from my embarrassment as I bat my eyelashes at him playfully.
Jeff chuckles at my flustered state, a knowing glint in his eyes. "I was just saying that I can't wait for the engagement photo shoot this weekend. I know you've put a lot of work into planning it, and it's going to be amazing.
We're going to look so fucking hot together," He says, the words rolling off of his tongue with ease. "I just want to rip your clothes off right now, just thinking about it."
His words, coupled with the heat in his gaze, ignite a spark in my chest, setting my body on fire. I lean in closer to him, the corners of our mouths curling upwards in a devilish grin.
"Well, Jeff, we'll have to wait until then to make love and take sexy pictures. But I can feel the desire building up inside me as well.
We're not touching each other, yet every nerve in my body is firing up, like a flint being struck against a stone.
Jeff's gaze intensifies, and he leans in to press his lips against my neck. I moan softly, my breath hitching as his teeth graze my skin. The anticipation is killing me.
My hands wander down to the waistband of my jeans, and I start to unbutton them. I slowly slide them down my legs, revealing the matching lace thong I picked out especially for this moment. I hear Jeff's intake of breath, and I turn to face him, my body now barely concealed beneath the flimsy fabric of the lingerie.
He reaches out a hand, tracing the curve of my waist with his fingertips. I shiver under his touch, and bite my lip, unable to contain my desire any longer.
He pulls me closer, pressing his lips against mine in a passionate kiss. There's an urgency between us, a primal need that demands to be sated right now. Our hands roam freely over each other's bodies, greedily tearing at the remaining layers of clothing.
Jeff lifts me up, his strength surprising me as he lays me down on the plush carpeting.
The coolness of the floor contrasting with the heat igniting in my core, creating a delicious shiver down my spine.
His lips sear a trail of kisses down my body as he makes his way down my torso. I'm writhing beneath him, incapable of keeping still as he teases me, tantalizing me with gentle flicks of his tongue.
My hands are entangled in his brown hair, pulling him closer to me, desperate for his touch. I can feel his beard tickling my skin, and I can't help but moan in pleasure.
