Patty's heartbeat pulsed in time with the throbbing rhythm of techno music. Colored laser beams played over her body, painting ripples of light onto her sleek, short purple hair and highlighting the athletic lines of her toned physique. At the age of fifty, Patty was anything but old. Not that she ever thought of herself that way. She was a firm believer that you were only as old as the age you carry in your mind. And she couldn't shake the feeling that she was twenty-two again.
She moved into the center of the dance floor, allowing her body to become one with the music. Losing herself in the moment, she abandoned any sense of restraint.
On the edge of the crowd, she caught sight of a tall, charismatic black man with short black hair and dark brown eyes – just the kind to ignite desire within her. He danced with a sensuous grace that seduced his surroundings. The energy in the space shifted toward him as bodies bowed like the waves towards the shore, the center of his power. He was a magnetic force.
