Chapter 1: Introduction
The law office buzzed with voices and the clatter of undisciplined typists as the sun began its slow descent towards the horizon. The office floor hummed with energy that hadn’t abated since early morning.
Annie leaned back against her chair, crossing her delicate legs. Her eyes were fixed on Chad, the man who sat at the vice president's desk across the room. The QT, or Quality Time, meeting had finally ended, and instead of heading back to her cubicle, she languidly let her gaze linger on him.
With a muscular physique, sharp jawline, and piercing blue eyes, Chad was the embodiment of male perfection. His voice was so resonant that her pulse skipped a beat each time she heard it.
Admittedly, she appreciated the physique of all men—tall or short, lean or stocky, but Chad was endowed with something more. She would glance at his crotch whenever he passed by and sometimes even during meetings—caught up in the thrill of her little secret.
The bulge that he donned under his tailored suits was a sight to behold, one that her imagination reveled in after hours. Her heart would flutter upon seeing the evidence of his manliness, and she would find herself lingering in the elevator with him, smelling the expensive cologne on his suit—a substance she wished could be bottled and sold.
Lucy, her colleague, had been watching Annie's behavior for a while. She found herself aware of Annie's presence, the way her being seemed to pull at the very air around her.
Lucy had always found herself captivated by Annie's beauty, the way the sun seemed to caress her delicate features, grace her lithe form, and illuminate the soft glow of her almond eyes. But lately, it wasn't just her physical appearance she craved; it was the essence of Annie, the woman beneath the surface.
Their office, a sleek, modern space boasting dark wood paneling, floor-to-ceiling windows, and an undercurrent of hushed conversation, seemed to come alive whenever Annie entered the room.
Colleagues looked up from their desks, tracking her as she moved past. Today was no different: even Lucy's gaze stayed glued to Annie.
Chad, too, had sensed that something was different about Annie in recent times. Her subtle glances had become more frequent, and her presence felt more intense. He didn't understand why she fascinated him so, but he couldn't deny the pull he felt towards her.
Caught in a sensuous dance of desire and restraint, they moved through the days with the awareness of their mutual fascination.
