Yet, she yearns for something more, a love that transcends the celestial realm. When she meets Elise, a half-human, half-angel with a soul as pure as the morning light, Faith feels an undeniable pull. Elise, terrified of Faith's imposing presence and flees, convinced that Faith's affection is dangerous and should be avoided. They get married eventually.

Chapter 1: Introduction

A soft breeze stirred through Faith's silver hair as she navigated the Celestial Realm. The resplendent landscape of golden light usually inspired Faith's awe, but she couldn't help a feeling of discontent growing within her. She soared above the shimmering scenery, weaving between clouds, and couldn't shake the nagging sensation that somewhere, somehow, a part of her was missing.

An alarm pulsed in her mind as she sensed a mortal threat to an innocent life here on Earth.

Guided by this urgent call, she descended rapidly. As she approached, Faith's keen senses homed in on a remarkable, shimmering woman, who radiated a gentle warmth into her very core. Without hesitation, she took on her human form and carefully approached, her heartbeat quickening at her own daring to break from routine for this beguiling creature.

"Hello, I'm Faith," she greeted softly, revealing herself as a breathtakingly tall angel with shimmering silver hair and eyes like emeralds.

She held her wings close to her body in human form, eager to blend into the surroundings.

The young woman, Elise, with her long golden blonde hair and deep blue eyes, froze, taken aback by the sudden appearance of such an otherworldly figure. With a strained voice, Elise stammered, trying to make sense of her encounter, "What do you want?"

Faith took a step closer, radiating an aura of peace and understanding that enveloped them both.

"I can't ignore a call for help, and I sensed your need. Are you all right, Elise?"

The young woman hesitated for a moment, her eyes flicking back and forth as she tried to assess the situation. "I-I don't understand. Why would you sense me?"

Smiling warmly, Faith revealed more of her true self: "There are things you may not know about you, Elise. Things that connect us.

That's what I want to discover, Faith thought, taking a deep breath. But before she could say anything more, she saw Elise's eyes widen in terror. The young woman turned on her heel and bolted away, leaving Faith dumbfounded.

Elise sprinted down the cobblestone streets, her heart pounding. She didn't understand how or why, but she could feel the weight of the celestial presence still following her. Each thud of her footsteps against the cobblestones echoed her growing desperation. She didn't dare look back, afraid of what she might see.

Faith's initial shock turned into a burst of action. With long strides, she began pursuing Elise, worried about her panic and fearing what might happen if Elise injured herself in her hasty escape.

"Elise, please! I mean you no harm!" she shouted after her, trying to keep her voice steady and comforting. She knew the young woman wasn't ready to hear the truth yet—that she herself was far from human.

As she followed, she admired Elise's strength in her frantic escape. Faith recalled the first time she'd truly uncovered her own otherworldly roots and the emotional turmoil she'd experienced as a result.
