Chapter 1: Claimed by the Pack: Ink and Desire

The air in the backroom was a solid thing, thick with the ghosts of cheap cigars and spilled beer that had soaked into the floorboards decades ago. A single bare bulb swung on a wire, casting jerking shadows over the circle of men. They were a wall of denim, leather, and ink, their faces carved from the same hard stone.

In the center, on a mattress stained with things Diamond tried not to think about, she knelt. The coarse fabric scraped her knees. Her heart was a frantic bird against her ribs. She kept her big brown eyes on Matt, who leaned against the doorframe, a bottle of beer dangling from his fingers. He gave her a small, almost imperceptible nod. His green eyes were bright, eager.

“Well, look at that,” a voice grunted. It was Razor. He unfolded himself from the shadows, a mountain of muscle and menace. His cut, patched with the club’s insignia, strained across his shoulders. He moved with a predator’s loose-hipped swagger, his boots heavy on the wooden floor. “All prettied up and waiting.”

Diamond’s breath hitched. She’d seen Razor around the compound, felt the chill of his gaze. He wasn’t like the others who sometimes leered with a rough kindness. His eyes were flat, like chips of flint.

He stopped in front of her, the toe of his boot nudging her knee. “Matt says you’re a good girl. Says you like to listen.” He reached down, a calloused hand tangling in her puff of Afro, not gently. He tilted her head back, forcing her to look up at him. “You gonna listen to me?”

She swallowed, her throat dry. “Yes.”

“Yes, what?”

The correction came from Matt, his voice a dark chuckle from the doorway. “Mind your manners, baby.”

“Yes, sir,” Diamond whispered.

A grin split Razor’s beard. He released her hair, his hands dropping to the hem of her thin tank top. With a single, sharp yank, he pulled it over her head. The cool, dank air hit her skin, pebbling her nipples. The small silver hoops through them glinted in the ugly light. A low rumble of approval moved through the circle of men.

“Sir,” Razor echoed, tasting the word. He liked it. His hands were everywhere, mapping her with a rough ownership that left her skin burning. He palmed her breast, thumb rough over the piercing, and a sharp, unwelcome spark of sensation shot through her. She whimpered.

“Hear that?” Razor said to the room, his eyes on Matt. “She’s a noisy little thing.”

“She’s expressive,” Matt corrected, taking a sip of his beer. “Let’s see if she’s as expressive for you as she is for me.”

Razor’s answer was to shove her. It wasn’t a push; it was a demolition. Diamond’s world upended as a massive hand between her shoulder blades planted her face-first into the mattress. The smell of it—stale sweat, sex, mildew—filled her nostrils. Before she could even gasp, his weight was on her, crushing the air from her lungs. Denim scraped the backs of her thighs.

“Hold still,” he grunted, his voice a vibration against her spine.

There was no preparation, no gentleness. He yanked her shorts and underwear down in one brutal motion. The cold air touched her, then was gone as he covered her. He didn’t enter her so much as he split her open, a single, searing thrust that punched a choked scream from her throat. The sound was swallowed by the filthy cotton of the mattress.

Tears sprang to her eyes. It hurt. It was meant to hurt.

“That’s it, baby,” Matt’s voice floated over the raw sound of Razor’s breathing, over the squeak of the springs. “Take it. Take it like the dirty little slut you are.”

His words, usually a dark thrill in their own bedroom, here felt like a brand. Each savage drive of Razor’s hips hammered them into her. She could hear the lewd, wet sounds, the grunts of the men watching, the rustle of denim as they shifted. Shame, hot and acid, rose in her throat, mingling with a terrifying, creeping sliver of arousal that she couldn’t control. Her body was betraying her, responding to the sheer animal brutality of it.

Razor’s calloused hands dug into the soft flesh of her hips, sure to leave bruises. He fucked her with a relentless, mechanical rhythm, his focus not on her pleasure but on his own conquest, on the performance for his brothers. For her husband.

“You feel that, Matt?” Razor snarled, pausing to drive himself deeper, making her cry out again. “She’s tight. Real tight. You been keeping her good and primed for us?”

“Just for this,” Matt answered, his voice tight with a strange pride.

It ended as abruptly as it began. Razor gave a final, guttural roar, his body locking rigid above hers. He collapsed his full weight onto her for a moment, a suffocating blanket of heat and smell, before rolling off.

Diamond lay shaking, face still buried, unable to move. The physical relief of his weight leaving was immediate, but the exposure was worse. She was laid bare, used, in front of them all.

A hand smoothed over her trembling ass. It was Matt. He knelt beside the mattress. “You did so good, baby. So perfect.” His praise was genuine, adoring. He helped her turn over, his touch now tender, wiping the tears and sweat from her face. The contrast was dizzying.

Razer stood, buckling his belt, a look of savage satisfaction on his face. He reached into his cut and pulled out a small, wicked-looking tattoo machine, its needle already sterilized and fitted. He plugged it into a portable power source on the floor. The buzz it made was high-pitched, insectile.

“Time for the souvenir,” Razor said, his eyes glinting. “Get her on her feet, Matt. Back against the wall.”

Matt helped her up. Her legs were liquid, barely holding her. He guided her to the stained wall, turning her to face the room. The men crowded in closer, their eyes ravenous, taking in every curve, every shudder.

Razer approached, the buzzing machine in his hand. “This is how we remember our favorites,” he said, his voice low. “My name goes first. Right here.” His thick finger pressed against the soft skin of her hip, just above the thatch of dark hair. “You’re gonna hold still for this, too. You scream, I might slip.”

Matt stood beside her, cradling her head against his shoulder. “Look at me, Diamond. Just look at me.”

The needle touched her skin. It wasn’t like the pain from before. This was a sharp, precise, buzzing burn. She flinched, a gasp escaping her.

“I said hold still,” Razor growled, his free hand clamping on her thigh, pinning her.

She squeezed her eyes shut, burying her face in Matt’s neck. The smell of his familiar cologne was a tiny anchor in the storm. The needle buzzed and bit, tracing a permanent claim into her flesh. She could feel the hot trickle of blood being wiped away with a rough rag, then the needle returning, digging the ink deep.

It felt like it took forever. Her whole body was a wire pulled taut. Finally, the buzzing stopped.

Razor leaned back, admiring his work. He slapped a piece of gauze over it, the sting making her jump. “There. Now you’re marked. You belong.”

The other men murmured, a few stepping forward, their eyes already charting their own territory on her skin.

Matt kissed her forehead, his beard scratching her skin. His green eyes were glowing with a profound, unsettling happiness. “See?” he whispered, for her ears only. “Now you’re really ours.”

The chapter ends with Diamond leaning against the wall, the fresh tattoo burning on her hip like a brand, Razor’s name now a part of her, as the next member of the circle stepped forward, unbuckling his belt. The door to the backroom remained closed. The single bulb continued to swing, casting its long, dancing shadows.

The single bulb continued to swing, casting its long, dancing shadows. The brief pause after Razor stepped back was a vacuum, quickly filled by the shuffle of boots and the low hum of anticipation. The circle tightened.

A man named Jax peeled himself from the wall. He was lankier than Razor, with a sharp face and eyes that didn’t hold the same flat cruelty, but a calculated, hungry interest. He was already unbuckling his belt, the leather rasping loud in the quiet.

“My turn,” he said, his voice a dry crackle. His gaze was fixed on the fresh, angry red lines of Razor’s name on Diamond’s hip, the blotchy gauze taped over it. “Gotta get mine in before the canvas gets too crowded.”

Matt guided Diamond back toward the mattress. Her legs were trembling, a full-body shiver she couldn’t control. Every nerve felt scraped raw, the sting of the tattoo a bright, focused echo of the deeper, throbbing ache between her legs. Matt’s hands on her arms were gentle, grounding, but they also steered her exactly where Jax wanted her.

“Knees, baby,” Matt murmured, his lips against her ear. “Just like before. You’re doing so good.”

The stained fabric was still warm from Razor. The smell was overwhelming. She lowered herself onto it, the coarse texture abrading her skin. She stared at a dark spot near the edge, trying to make her mind blank, to go somewhere else. But the room wouldn’t let her. The weight of the men’s stares was a physical pressure.

Jax moved behind her. His hands weren’t as brutally forceful as Razor’s; they were possessive in a different way. One hand slid around her waist, pulling her back against him, while the other gathered her Afro again, not to yank, but to firmly tilt her head to the side, exposing the line of her throat. He held her there, on display.

“Pretty thing,” he said, more to the room than to her. He ran a thumb over the pulse jumping in her neck. “Heart’s going a mile a minute.”

He entered her slowly, with a deliberate, grinding precision that made her suck in a sharp breath. It wasn’t the shocking violence of before, but it was just as inexorable. He set a rhythm that was deep and steady, each thrust a claim staking itself alongside Razor’s. His breathing was hot and ragged against the side of her face.

“She’s juicy, Matt,” Jax groaned, his fingers digging into the soft flesh of her belly. “Tight and juicy. You train her this good, or she just a natural?”

“A bit of both,” Matt said. He had pulled a wooden chair over, sitting in it backwards, his arms resting on the back. He took a long pull from his beer, his green eyes dark and watchful, a faint smile playing on his lips. “She’s a quick learner.”

Diamond closed her eyes, the praise and the degradation twisting together inside her. A sob caught in her throat, but she choked it back. She focused on the texture of the mattress under her palms, the sound of Jax’s zipper, the feel of her own sweat cooling on her skin. She felt split in two: the body that was being used, and the mind that was floating somewhere near the swaying lightbulb, observing it all.

Jax finished with a shuddering sigh, slumping against her back for a moment before pulling away. He patted her flank twice, like a man appreciating a good horse. “Hell yeah.”

No one helped her up this time. She stayed on her knees, head bowed, waiting. The process was the same. The buzz of the tattoo machine, the chemical smell of ink, the sharp, burning pain as Jax etched his name just below Razor’s. This time she didn’t flinch. She just breathed through it, her eyes on Matt’s boots. When it was done, another piece of gauze was slapped over the fresh wound.

A heavier set of footsteps approached. She didn’t look up.

“Look at me, sweetheart.”

The voice was quieter, gravelly. She lifted her head. It was Kane, the President. He stood in front of her, his presence dominating the space. He wasn’t smiling. He cupped her chin with a hand that was surprisingly clean, the nails trimmed. His eyes were old and cold, appraising her not with lust, but with ownership.

“You understand what this is?” he asked, his thumb stroking her jaw.

She nodded, her voice a whisper. “Yes, sir.”

“This makes you property. Club property. That ink means you’re protected. It also means you’re available. You belong to my brothers. You please them, you please me. You cause drama…” He let the sentence hang, his meaning clearer than any threat. He released her chin. “Matt’s a good brother. He knows how to share. You be good for him, and for us.”

He nodded to someone behind her.

NEXT MAN WAITS.
