This story is a continuation of the story ‘Devils Redemption’. Raziel and Elara have been in relationship for decades and have just moved into a new home together. Raziel has plans on asking Elara to marry him but is waiting for the right moment. He bought the ring the first night they made love. The love they share combined with their understanding of each other’s pain and history makes their union one for the ages. Unbreakable. Most creatures who see them holding hands in the street or deep in public embrace do not avert their eyes in disgust, a kindness Raziel and Elara’s old town did not grant them. However little did Raziel and Elara know someone from the past had just become aware of their arrival. Seraphina, raziel’s deceased wife’s brother is mayor of this city and is not happy to hear that his sister’s murder is his town and playing house with a half breed. He uses his angel and celestial powers and connections to make Raziel and Elara’s life a living hell. It all comes to a head when Raziel is taken and tortured forcing Elara to rescue him.

Chapter 8: A Moment of Tenderness

The cottage door slammed shut behind them, the solid oak a final barrier between their sanctuary and the chaotic, hungry world outside. Raziel leaned against it, his back pressed to the wood as if physically holding the night at bay. The silence inside was profound, a living thing woven from the scent of dried herbs, the wax of spent candles, and their own mingled exhaustion.

Elara was already stripping off her soiled tunic, letting it fall to the floor near the hearth with a damp slap. She stood in the flickering firelight, her lavender skin smudged with grime and dried blood—mostly Raziel’s. The scars on her back, the legacy of torn wings and fae cruelty, caught the light like silvery vines.

Raziel watched her, the adrenaline of their escape finally bleeding away, leaving a hollowed-out awe in its place. She was here. They were here. Alive.

He pushed off the door, the floorboards creaking under his weight. "So," he began, his voice raspy from disuse and dungeon air. He crossed the room, stopping before her. His hands, still caked with filth, came up to frame her face, his thumbs gently stroking the soot from her cheeks. "What did you need to tell me?"

Elara simply smiled. It was a slow, radiant unfurling that reached her tired eyes and made them gleam. She took one of his large, battered hands in both of hers, peeling it from her face. She turned his palm downward and placed it flat against the soft, smooth skin of her lower belly, just above the line of her trousers.

At first, he was confused. Worry instantly clouded his features, the peaceful moment shattered. His eyes darted from her face to his hand, as if expecting to feel a wound, a tremble, something terribly wrong. "What’s wrong with your stomach? Are you okay?" His voice tightened, the concern sharpening into a blade's edge. "Did Michael hurt you? I will go back and kill him myself if he dared place a hand on you—"

Elara laughed. The sound was a bright, bubbling counterpoint to his dark urgency. "No, you big oaf." She squeezed his hand against her, her own voice tight with a barely-contained tumult of excitement and emotion. "I'm pregnant."

Confusion returned to Raziel's face, a blank, uncomprehending slate. He looked back and forth from her shining eyes to his hand on her utterly ordinary, flat stomach. His brow, beneath the sweep of his horns, furrowed deeply. Pregnant. The word hung in the air, beautiful and impossible. Him. A father. After everything. The butcher. The betrayed.

He closed his eyes. Shut out the room, the firelight, her expectant gaze. He turned his senses inward, focusing the preternatural acuity of his demonic heritage not outward for threats, but into the warm, vital plane of her skin beneath his palm. He filtered out the rush of her blood, the steady drum of her heart. He listened deeper, past the mundane symphony of her body.

He heard it.

Faint, ferocious, a rapid, fluttering syncopation beneath the steady rhythm of her own pulse. Not one, but two. Two tiny, relentless engines of life, sparking in the dark.

His eyes flew open. They were wide, the ice-blue blazing with a light Elara had never seen before—not in rage, not in passion, but in pure, unadulterated wonder. His face lit up, transforming the grim, scarred lines into something boyish and breathtaking.

"I'm going to be a dad?" It was a whisper, then a roar. "I'M GOING TO BE A DAD!"

He snatched her up, his arms clamping around her waist, and spun her around in the middle of their cluttered living room. He laughed, a booming, unsteady sound that bordered on a sob, his eyes filling with happy tears that traced clean tracks through the dungeon muck on his cheeks.

"Whoa there, big guy! I love the enthusiasm," Elara gasped, clinging to his shoulders, her own laughter tinged with desperation. "But unless you want to see Act Two of my lunch from earlier, I suggest you stop spinning me around!"

He stopped instantly, a statue of arrested motion. Carefully, as if she were made of spun glass and starlight, he cradled her against his chest and carried her to their bedroom. He laid her on the silk coverlet, the color of her eyes in sunlight, and stood back, simply staring. The enormity of it was a physical weight, a glorious, terrifying anchor in his soul.

"I'm sorry, my love. I'm just... so excited," he breathed, his gaze drinking her in. The adrenaline, the joy, the overwhelming rush of protective love—it all coalesced, flowing south. A prominent bulge strained urgently against the front of his trousers.

Elara’s eyes, which had been soft with shared emotion, glanced down. A familiar, mischievous glint replaced the tenderness. She licked her lips, a slow, deliberate drag of her tongue. "I can tell," she said, her voice dropping to a husky register. "Here, let me help you with that."

She reached out for the zipper, her mouth already watering at the sight, at the promise of him.

Raziel’s hand shot out, gently catching her wrist before her fingers could make contact. A war played out on his face—raw need against a suddenly roaring, instinctive caution. "I…I don’t want to hurt you," he said, his voice tight with the strain of holding back.

Elara looked from his worried eyes to the impressive tent in his pants and let out a short, incredulous puff of air. "You won’t hurt me. I am half succubus, after all." She twisted her wrist free from his grip with ease and gave his hand a playful smack. "Half of me is literally made to please." Her fingers found the zipper and pulled it down in one smooth motion, the sound obscenely loud in the quiet room. "So let me please you."

His cock, freed from its confinement, sprang out—thick, heavy, and already weeping at the tip. Elara didn't hesitate. She leaned forward from the bed, her emerald eyes locked on his, and kissed the glistening crown. A soft, slick kiss. Then her lips parted, and she took him into the wet, welcoming heat of her mouth.

Raziel’s breath caught, a sharp, shattered inhale. His hands flew to the bedpost behind her, gripping the carved wood until it groaned. The sensation was catastrophic—a bliss so sharp it bordered on pain. Her tongue swirled around the broad head, her lips sliding down his immense girth with a practiced, eager hunger that made his tail thrash against the floorboards. Her fingers cupped the heavy weight of his balls, rolling them gently as she worked him deeper.

"Elara… fuck… I’m already…" he warned, his hips giving a minute, uncontrollable thrust. He was teetering on the edge, the emotional cataclysm of the day shortening his fuse to nothing.

She just hummed in response, the vibration traveling straight up his spine. She doubled her efforts, taking him deeper into her throat, one hand moving to stroke the base of his shaft in time with the suction of her mouth. Her other hand remained on his balls, a possessive, tender weight.

It was too much. The images—Michael’s sneer, the phantom Elaras dying, the twin heartbeats like a beacon in the dark—collided with the physical reality of her devotion, her love, her mouth. With a ragged cry that was half sob, half roar, he came. His release pulsed into her throat in hot, endless waves, his body bowing under the force of it. She took it all, drinking him down with soft, swallowing gulps, her eyes pressed shut in concentration and what looked like her own fierce satisfaction.

When the last shudder passed through him, she drew back slowly, licking her lips clean with a final, cat-like sweep. She looked up at him, his cock still resting against her flushed cheek. He was panting, his eyes dazed, staring down at her as if she’d just performed a miracle.

Maybe she had.

Raziel looked back at Elara, his eyes still a little hazy from his orgasm as he cupped her cheek, using his thumb to wipe away a stray drop of cum from the corner of her mouth. “You are so beautiful,” he said, bending down to kiss Elara. He kissed her deeply, tasting his own cum hot on her tongue. His hands roamed her body with reverent slowness, memorizing every curve as he laid her down on her back. “Tonight is about you,” he murmured, lowering his mouth to her core.

When he was face to face with her soaked lace underwear, his mouth watered. “My turn to please you, my sweet,” he said, his voice heavy with a hunger he didn’t know he had. Raziel didn’t even bother taking her panties off, just moved them to the side as his tongue explored her. He ate her out with devastating precision, bringing her to climax after climax until she was a trembling, sweaty mess.

“Raz, please…I…want…” Elara whimpered out.

“I know, baby. I will give you exactly what you need.” Only then did he enter her, his movements slow and deep, each thrust a declaration of love. “You feel so good, baby. So…fucking tight for me,” Raziel breathed into Elara’s ear. She wrapped her legs around his waist, driving him deeper into her, making her cry out more.

“I’m all yours…fuck me faster…please…I’m so close,” Elara said through moans. Raziel didn’t respond with words, just pounded his thick cock into her deeper and faster. Elara’s climax ripped through her almost instantly, the walls of her wet pussy gripping onto Raziel like a glove made perfectly for him.

“Oh fuck, baby, you’re gonna make me…” Raziel grunted as he thrust into her.

“Cum inside me, Raziel. I want to feel your warmth inside me.” And that was his undoing. Raziel thrust one more time into the vice-like grip of Elara’s pussy and shot his load deep inside her.

He collapsed onto her, a careful weight, his face buried in the sweaty hollow of her neck. They lay like that, tangled and spent, for a long time, the only sound their syncing heartbeats and the crackle of the dying fire. His spend began to leak from her, a warm trickle onto the silk sheets, a tangible claim.

His spend began to leak from her, a warm trickle onto the silk sheets, a tangible claim. Raziel rolled onto his side for a brief moment, his breathing still ragged, and quickly laid his head next to Elara’s belly. His horns scraped gently against the mattress as he adjusted his position.

“Sorry, guys, I shook things up in there,” he whispered, his lips brushing her skin. He spoke softly, already joking with his unborn. “I promise to be more gentle next time…if your mother lets me.”

Elara laughed, the sound vibrating through her torso and into his ear. She tussled his thick, dark hair, her fingers threading through the sweat-damp strands. Her laughter faded into a soft, contemplative silence as her brain locked onto the word ‘guys’. Plural. Her hand stilled against his scalp.

“I think you meant ‘guy’,” she said, trying to make her voice sound light despite the sudden, wire-taut nervousness tightening her throat. “And isn’t it a little soon to assume it’s a boy?”

Raziel turned his head to look up at her. His ice-blue eyes held a knowing smile, a mix of wonder and absolute certainty. “You’re right. It could be a girl or a boy. I would love them just the same.” He turned his face back to her belly, his expression softening into something reverent. “What I do know is I can hear two very strong and mighty heartbeats.”

He placed his broad hand over her lower abdomen, his touch impossibly gentle, as if trying to connect with his kids while they were still in the womb. Elara felt the warmth of his palm seep into her, a grounding pressure. She let her head fall back onto the pillow with a soft thump and sighed, a long exhale of sheer disbelief.

Twins.

Just over a week ago, she’d thought the very idea of pregnancy was a biological impossibility for her. Now here she was, pregnant with twins by the love of her life. The emotional whiplash of the day—the dungeon, the escape, the violence, the revelation—finally crested like a wave inside her. Tears welled in her eyes, blurring the familiar constellations etched into the stained glass overhead.

She cried softly, the tears tracing hot paths down her temples and into her hairline. Raziel, sensing the shift in her breath, the quiet hitches, propped himself up on one elbow beside her. He looked down at her face, his own expression etching with concern.

“Hey…” he murmured, wiping a tear away with his thumb. He gathered her gently against him, her back to his chest, his arms a solid fortress around her. “Don’t worry, my love. We are in this together. I will never let anything happen to you or our children.” His voice was a low rumble in her ear, soft and comforting. “I swear it.”

Elara sniffed, turning her face into the crook of his arm. The scent of him—sex, sweat, their shared triumph—was more comforting than any perfume. “I know, big guy,” she said, her voice muffled but clear. “These aren’t sad tears.” She pulled back just enough to look up at him, her emerald eyes glittering wet and bright. “I’m just…so happy.”

Raziel studied her face, searching for the truth in it. He found only radiant, overwhelmed joy. The tension left his shoulders. He kissed her forehead, then her nose, then finally her lips, a chaste press that held a universe of promises.

“We should clean up,” he said after a moment, his practical side reasserting itself. “And I need to wash about four layers of dungeon off my skin before I’m fit for civilized company, let alone fatherhood.”

He slid from the bed, his tall, powerfully built frame moving with a newly mindful grace. He padded, naked and magnificent, toward the attached bathroom. Elara watched him go, her gaze tracing the familiar landscape of his back—the whip-leather muscles, the older scars from long-ago battles, the fresh, angry sigils Michael’s tools had burned into his blue-black skin.

The sight of those new wounds snapped her from her daze. Joy was a fragile bubble. The world outside their stained-glass windows was still sharp with teeth.

“Raz,” she said, sitting up. The movement made her aware of the pleasant, deep ache between her legs, the sticky evidence of their love-making on her thighs. “Michael. He’s not just going to sit in that dungeon licking his wounds.”

The sound of water sputtering in the sink stopped. Raziel appeared in the bathroom doorway, a damp cloth in one hand. His face had hardened back into the lethal lines she knew from the prison floor. The loving father was still there, but he was sharing space with the primordial demon now.

“I know,” he said, his voice quiet. He walked back to the bed and knelt beside it, bringing the warm, wet cloth to her thighs. He began to clean her with a tenderness that contrasted violently with the cold fury in his eyes. “He’ll come. And he won’t be alone next time. He’ll have a celestial warrant and half the Host’s enforcement wing at his back.”

He worked the cloth over her skin, his touch meticulous. “But he’s lost his advantage. The surprise. The secrecy.” Raziel looked up, meeting her gaze. “He thinks he’s hunting a broken demon and his half-breed whore.”

A fierce, defiant smile touched Elara’s lips. “Little does he know,” she finished, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper.

“Little does he know,” Raziel agreed, a matching ferocity igniting in his blue eyes. He leaned in, his forehead resting against hers. “He’s hunting a family now.”
