Nick has never been particularly successful with women. One day, however, an evil succubus appears before him, and slowly begins to turn him into an evil demon lord with ultimate power over women.

Chapter 1: Beginning (Misery)

Just another day in the life of Nick.

His alarm blared at 7 AM, undercutting the few shreds of peace he'd managed to cling to during the night. Nick groaned and reached for the snooze button, already dreading the mounting to-do list he'd shortly be facing. He was one of those people who desperately needed more hours in a day.

He woke up to the scent of burnt coffee and almost spit out his toothpaste.

Nick pushed himself out of his rumpled sheets, made the required pit stop at the bathroom, and then set out to reclaim his tiny kingdom from the chaos that took over every night when he retreated from reality.

Nick's small apartment, located in the heart of the city, was a testament to his disorganized existence. Stacks of unread books towered precariously, while dirty dishes and discarded clothes littered the floor. The only object out of place was a menacing, dark portal in the corner.

It was an obnoxious eyesore that never failed to unnerve him, but also an intriguing mystery that tempted him daily. Its inky tendrils seemed to move and writhe with a life of its own, a stark contrast to the mundane stillness of his apartment. Regardless of his fear, he couldn't help but be drawn to its hypnotizing lure.

As he started his domestic battle against the morning mayhem, Nick's thoughts wandered to the beautiful girl he often saw in his building - Katie.

She had curves in all the right places, hazel eyes that held galaxies and brown hair that cascaded over her shoulders in loose waves. He'd always wanted to approach her, but this tangled mess of an apartment was the first barrier he could never seem to conquer.

Besides, the way fate teased him was enough to make a man like Nick cringe; they crossed paths whenever he looked like a disaster, while she looked like an endless string of beautiful days. Her crisp outfits and shining skin could outshine even the richest of royalty.

As much as he daydreamed about her, his self-esteem never stood a chance.

And then there was Sara, another stunning woman. She had been living in the building for a few years now and worked at the café nearby. Dark curls framed her heart-shaped face, and he loved watching her carefully paint each individual lash with mascara whenever they crossed paths at the mailboxes.

Nick couldn't help but think that perhaps love was always just an arm's reach away, yet perpetually out of his grasp.

Lost in thought, with the taste of lukewarm coffee on his tongue, he finally tackled the dishes piled high in the sink.

It was a chore he despised, but it gave him time to reflect. After all, there wasn't much else to do in this small, cramped space.

As he washed and dried the plates, his mind returned to the two women who had captured his heart.

First, there was Katie, the girl who lived across the hall. Her laughter was like music to his ears, and the sound of her voice was enough to make his heart race. He could still remember the day she'd walked in on him, covered in paint and looking like a mess, and how she'd offered to help him clean up without a hint of judgment.

Then there was Sara, the barista at the café on the corner. Every time he ordered a coffee, he would find himself drawn to her warm smile and sparkling eyes. He had tried to flirt with her, but she seemed oblivious to his advances.

It was as if she was in a world of her own, untouchable and unreachable.

Nick felt the familiar urge building within him, a longing that seemed to grow stronger with every passing day. He closed his eyes, picturing Katie's luscious lips and the way her eyes sparkled with mischief.

His hand wandered down to his waist, and he felt the heat of his body building. The image of Katie was replaced by another, the memory of Sara's soft skin and warm touch.

He groaned, unable to suppress the pleasure that coursed through him. It was a brief release, a temporary escape from the loneliness that plagued him.

But it was never enough.

He opened his eyes, feeling the emptiness settle back in. He knew he had to find a way to break free from his solitude, to connect with someone.

It was one of those lingering thoughts that crept through his mind every now and then, urging him to step outside of his comfort zone. But paralyzing anxiety always took over, and before he knew it, another week had passed with nothing but fleeting dreams to fuel him.

As he put the last dish away, he caught a glance of himself in the worn-out mirror hanging on the wall. It reflected a man he wasn't proud of: unshaven, slouching posture, and those same tired eyes staring back from the reflection.

Was this what it had come to? A life of loneliness and frustration, with nothing but dirty dishes and stacks of unread books to keep him company?

As he glanced at the clock, he realized with a start that he was already running late. With a rush of adrenaline, he quickly dressed and headed out the door, practically bumping into Katie. Her surprised laughter caught him off guard, as it always did, but he managed a sheepish smile.

"Sorry, I was just...daydreaming," he stumbled over his words.

"I'm just running late."

"No worries," she replied, her eyes dancing with amusement. "You look like you could use a bit of luck today." Katie's playful grin caught him off-guard, and his heart skipped a beat. "Well, I hope so. The café might be closed if I don't hurry."

Her gaze lingered on his face for just a moment longer before she continued down the hall. She had a way of making him feel seen that was at once thrilling and unnerving. Before he could gather his thoughts, she had disappeared behind her door.

As Nick stepped outside into the bustling city streets, he couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to life than what he had settled for.
