Darius charged forward and easily took down two of the criminals.
Meanwhile, Javier managed to break free from the remaining criminals, drawing his bow again. As Darius engaged the leader in a fierce fight, Javier used his skills to aid his friend. The alleyway erupted into chaos as they struggled to protect Lyla.
Darius relentlessly attacked the leader, dodging blow after blow. Despite his determination, the elven man was skilled and cunning. However, Darius' strength and skill proved to be formidable opponents.
He expertly deflected the elven leader's attacks, exploiting his weaknesses and slowly whittling down his health. Meanwhile, Javier had successfully taken out all the remaining criminals.
Lyla watched in awe as Darius continued to fight, his moves precise and calculated. Despite the fact that the elven leader's reflexes were impressive, it was clear that Darius was the superior fighter.
Once the criminals were dealt with, Javier turned to Lyla. Draping his cape over her exposed form.
Darius ensured Lyla felt protected, even as she trembled slightly from the encounter. The elven leader lay defeated in the filthy alley, a testament to Darius' prowess. Lyla looked at Javier, tears streaming down her face. "Are you okay?" she asked anxiously.
Javier nodded, trying to hide his disappointment at not being able to save her sooner. "We need to leave this place." He turned to Darius, his voice steeped in gratitude.
Darius carefully picked up Lyla in a bridal style and headed to the tavern with Javier.
