Chapter 1: Homecoming
Shannon just drove four hours from college in the city, and she was exhausted. Her mother, Arianna, had always been a force of nature—feminist, outspoken, the kind of woman who could debate politics over brunch and then flip a tire at the gym.
Arianna opened the door, it's been 4 month since she was home. Her mother was in the living room , as always, except Arianna wasn't reading a book or tending to her plants like she usually was. Instead, she was on the couch, wearing a revealing dress, a pair of sky high heels,
and her once natural hair was platinum blonde and reached her waist. She looked... different. Not just in appearance, but in presence. There was a softness in her expression Shannon had never seen before—like she was barely holding back a secret smile.
"Shannon!" Arianna gasped, jumping up from the couch so quickly that one of her heels wobbled precariously on her foot. She rushed forward, arms outstretched, and nearly knocked Shannon over in a hug. "I’m so glad you’re home, baby!"
Shannon hugged her back, but it felt strange. Arianna’s perfume was stronger than usual, floral but with an undercurrent of something else—something musky and intimate. Shannon also realised her others breasts were significantly bigger than the last time she saw her.
"Careful, Mom," Shannon laughed, pulling back. She gestured at Arianna’s dress, which was cut so low it strained against her new curves. "What’s with the outfit? You look like you’re going to a club, not greeting your daughter."
Arianna let out a laugh that was too high-pitched, her fingers fluttering to her chest like she was trying to calm herself. "Oh—oh, don’t be silly! I just— I wanted to look nice for Ray. You know how I love dressing up." She bit her lip, her gaze darting away before locking back onto Shannon with unnatural intensity.
"By the way there he is" . Arianna turned, her body moving with an over-practiced grace.
There was Ray, standing in the doorway to the kitchen. He was tall, broad-shouldered, with dark hair swept back from a face that looked like it had been carved by a sculptor—high cheekbones, a strong jaw, and eyes that seemed to absorb the light around them. He wore a black button-down shirt, sleeves rolled up to his elbows, and despite the casual look, every inch of him screamed control. Shannon felt the faintest prickle at the back of her neck, like static electricity, when his gaze met hers.
Arianna practically melted. "Ray, this is my daughter Shannon !" she announced, her voice dripping with something Shannon couldn’t quite place—adoration? Worship? The word *obedience* flashed through her mind, but that was ridiculous. Arianna had always been strong, independent, the woman who told Shannon to never let a man dictate her life.
Ray’s lips curved into a smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes. They were too sharp, too knowing. "Shannon," he said, stepping forward. His voice was smooth, deep, the kind that made you want to listen.
It wrapped around Shannon’s name like a silent promise—something she didn’t understand but couldn’t shake. She felt a flicker of discomfort, a sense that the room had tilted slightly off balance.
Ray held out a hand. Not in greeting, not quite—more like an offering. "You look just like your mother," he said, his eyes lingering on her face, then drifting lower with deliberate slowness. Shannon felt the heat rise in her cheeks, not from pleasure, but from the way his gaze stripped her bare in a single glance. She hesitated, then placed her hand in his. His grip was warm, firm, confident—like he already owned her.
Shannon subtly tried to pull her hand back, but Ray held on just a second too long before finally letting go. She tucked her fingers into her palm, suddenly self-conscious. Something about the way he looked at her made her feel exposed, not in the way of physical nakedness, but like he could see right through her—her thoughts, her fears, the way her pulse jumped when his eyes locked onto hers again.
Arianna was watching them both with a dazed expression, her lips parted slightly, her breath shallow. It sent a strange shiver down Shannon’s spine. Her mother had always been so composed, so *herself*. Now she just looked… worshipful.
Shannon felt awkward, but said "Nice to meet you" and then went to her room to drop off her bag. When she came back, Ray was sitting on the couch with Arianna tucked into his side, her head resting against his shoulder like a contented cat. The way Arianna’s fingers traced idle patterns on Ray’s chest made Shannon’s stomach tighten. It wasn’t just affection—it was *devotion*.
Shannon decided to go sunbath at the pool.
