Chapter 3: Building Tension
“You’re mine,” he growled, his voice a dark promise, and Kai’s body trembled as he claimed them once more. The rough wood grain bit into their cheek, their fingers scrambling for purchase against the wall. Silas’s hips pressed flush against them, the hard, thick length of him nudging against their entrance, and Kai whimpered, a sound of pure, unraveling need.
“Please,” they breathed, the word muffled against the wall.
“Please what?” Silas’s voice was a rumble against their ear, his teeth grazing the lobe. His hands were everywhere, one splayed across their stomach, pulling them back into him, the other gripping their hip with enough force to bruise.
“I don’t… I just need…”
“You need your alpha to fuck you.” The term landed like a physical blow, shocking and electric. It wasn’t a pet name. It was a classification, a truth. “Don’t you?”
Kai’s mind spun, fragments of the evening reassembling into a terrifying, exhilarating picture—the uncanny way he’d found them, the predatory stillness in his eyes, the sheer, untamed force of his presence. It wasn’t just dominance. It was biology. “Alpha,” Kai whispered, testing the word, and a violent shudder wracked their frame. The submission that followed wasn’t just sexual; it was cellular, a prey animal going still in the jaws of the wolf.
Silas rewarded the understanding with a sharp grind of his hips. “That’s right. Now tell me what you need.”
“Fuck me,” Kai gasped, the obscenity torn from them. “Alpha, please, just fuck me. I need it.”
He didn’t use spit or oil. He simply positioned himself and, with a single, brutal thrust, sheathed himself to the hilt inside them. Kai cried out, a ragged scream swallowed by the cabin walls, their body stretched impossibly wide, burning with a perfect, splitting fullness. Silas held there, buried deep, his own groan harsh and guttural against their neck. “So fucking tight,” he snarled. “Taking all of me like you were made for it.”
He began to move, and it was nothing like the fantasies Kai had ever harbored. This was claiming, punishment, and possession distilled into a raw, physical rhythm. Each withdrawal was a slow, deliberate drag that made them feel hollow, each drive forward a piston-like slam that stole their breath. The slap of skin against skin, the wet, filthy sounds of their joining, the creak of the cabin wall—it was a symphony of utter debasement.
Kai’s world narrowed to the searing heat of him splitting them open, the bite of his fingers on their hips, the animalistic grunts puffing against their sweaty skin. “You feel that?” he growled, his pace relentless. “That’s your alpha. Marking you. Filling you. Making sure every other thing in these woods knows you’re claimed.”
The words, instead of frightening them, ignited a desperate, climbing heat in their gut. They pushed back against him, meeting his thrusts, a silent plea for more. Silas chuckled, a dark, approving sound. “Yeah, you like that. You need to be owned, don’t you? Need something stronger than you to put you in your place.”
His hand slid from their stomach, down through the slick mess between their legs, his calloused fingers finding their clit. The touch was rough, direct, a ruthless circular pressure perfectly timed with his deep strokes. Kai’s cries became broken, wordless things, their body bowing taut between the unyielding wall and his unyielding body. The pressure coiled, unbearable, a wire pulled to its snapping point.
“Come for your alpha,” he commanded, his voice iron, and his teeth sank into the junction of their neck and shoulder.
The pain was sharp, bright, a claiming bite that shattered the last of Kai’s control. Their orgasm ripped through them, a silent, convulsing wave that clenched viciously around his driving cock. Silas swore, his rhythm fragmenting into harsh, jerking thrusts. With a final, deep grind, he spilled inside them, hot and pulsing, a growl vibrating from his chest into their back.
He stayed there, locked inside them, both of them panting, dripping, utterly spent. The smell of sex, sweat, and pine filled the air. Slowly, carefully, he withdrew, and Kai’s legs gave out. They sank to the floor, a boneless heap against the wall, feeling the evidence of him trickle down their thigh.
Silas looked down at them, his green eyes still blazing but softened at the edges. He crouched, his movements fluid and unnaturally quiet. With a surprisingly gentle hand, he brushed Kai’s damp hair from their forehead. “You okay?”
Kai could only nod, their body humming, their mind a blissful blank. The bite on their shoulder throbbed, a brand.
“Good.” He stood, pulling them up effortlessly into his arms as if they weighed nothing. He carried them to the bed, laying them down on the rough wool blanket. He fetched a damp cloth from a basin, cleaning them with a practical, unsentimental tenderness that was somehow more intimate than the sex had been.
He slid in beside them, pulling their back against his chest, his arm a heavy, possessive weight around their waist. The night sounds of the forest crept back in—the call of an owl, the rustle of leaves.
“The others will want to meet you,” he said into the darkness, his voice a low rumble against their spine.
Kai stiffened. “Others?”
“My pack.” The words held a universe of meaning, of a life, a law, a world hidden deep within the trees. Kai’s heart hammered anew, not with fear, but with a dizzying curiosity. The lost, vulnerable thing they were hours ago was gone, buried under the scent of pine and alpha and their own submission.
They were claimed. And for the first time since they’d wandered off the path, they weren't lost at all. They were exactly where they were meant to be.
