He hugged his best friend Mina who he had not seen since this all started.
He touched her shoulder, feeling the warmth of her skin and the softness of her curves. Mina gave him a wary look, as if she was trying to read his thoughts.
"You okay, Gary?" she asked, carefully releasing him from the embrace.
"Mina, I need to tell you something," he said, taking a deep breath. "It's been unreal."

Over the next few days he turned down Lisa, Jessica, Mrs Peterson(she was understanding) Torrie, Jaime and a dozen others. Mina would come by at the end of every day to consul him.
"It's going to be okay, Gary," she whispered softly. Gary hated the way she felt sorry for him. He needed a solution to this problem, not pity.
