Jeannette comes home from work and gets a message for a short-notice escort job. The client offers her a higher than usual reward So she prepares herself and goes out to meet the client at the hotel.

Chapter 1: Prequel

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting an ethereal glow over the rooftops and cobblestone streets, Jeannette found herself returning to her humble abode in the heart of the city. She carried a plastic bag in her hand that carried her dinner - an extra large assortment of California Maki with wasabi and ginger garnish. A smile of anticipation tugged at the corners of her lips; she was looking forward to finally call it a day and enjoy her decent meal.

The day had been particularly demanding, filled with endless meetings and rigorous presentations from her team. She only had one more task to accomplish before retiring to the comforting embrace of her soft cotton sheets- eating her sushi, of course.

She stepped inside her quaint apartment, shut the door behind her and tossed the keys and her purse onto the kitchen table.

Her feet ached in her heels, but she didn't want to deal with removing them just yet. Instead, she moved towards the living room couch with the gracefulness of a swan and laid down like a delicate piece of porcelain. She closed her eyes, basking in the quiet solitude. It took her a moment to realize that the sound of her phone ringing echoed in the otherwise silent home.

"Hey there, Jeannette!" Markus greeted cheerfully. "I know you're tired after a long day's work, but I have a special assignment for you tonight.

" Markus continued swiftly, his tone shifting gears from friendly banter to a professional business approach. "It's last minute, but the compensation is beyond generous. Think of it as a treat for all the hard work you've put in at the office."

Jeannette let out a sigh, feeling the weight of the world slowly seeping back into her consciousness. Her muscles tensed up slightly, ready to face whatever challenges came her way. "Alright, Markus. Tell me more about this assignment.

Who is the client? And what exactly do they expect me to do?" Jeannette asked warily, sensing the implications that lay within Markus's request. She sat upright, crossing her legs and placing her hands on her lap, preparing herself for yet another challenging endeavor.

Markus paused, his voice suddenly hushed. "Well, the client is rather discreet. All I can say is that he's extremely wealthy and quite particular regarding how things are done.

" Markus revealed, his cautious tone sending a shiver down Jeannette's spine. She could sense the hidden depths of the man's demands, and it made her uneasy. But Markus had never led her astray before. He was always concerned about her safety and comfort, so she reluctantly agreed. Where is the meeting place?" she asked, readying herself for a night of uncertainty.
