Chapter 6: Lane Departure Warning
The silence after the call was a physical space in Justin’s hotel room, thick and oppressive. He ordered room service he didn’t eat, the steak congealing on its plate. He watched mindless television, the colors and sounds a meaningless blur against the static in his head. She’s been pacing. She’s been scratching at the door. Her words played on a loop, a dark mantra. He had opened that door. He’d handed her the key.
His phone buzzed on the nightstand. A text from Ashley, sent an hour ago, while he’d been in the shower.
Ashley: Hunter texted.
Three words. The air left his lungs. He stared at them, the casual brutality of the punctuation. A period, not an exclamation point. A statement of fact.
His fingers were cold as he typed.
Justin: And?
He waited. The three dots appeared, disappeared, reappeared. He could see her choosing her words, carving them with care.
Ashley: Just saying hi. Asked how I was. Said he saw my picture on that fundraiser page for the animal shelter. Said I looked good.
A fundraiser page. Justin remembered it. A gallery of local supporters. Ashley in a simple black dress, smiling, holding a placard. A clean, curated image of the woman he’d presented to the world. Hunter had seen it. Hunter had used it.
Justin: What did you say?
Ashley: I said thanks. He asked if I wanted to grab a coffee sometime. Catch up.
The room felt smaller. The walls leaned in. Catch up. A bland, innocent phrase that now felt loaded with landmines. He saw Hunter’s face from the videos from last time they had 'caught up'—handsome, confident, smirking as he’d pushed into Justin’s wife.
Justin: And you said?
The three dots pulsed. A minute passed.
Ashley: I said maybe. It was just coffee, Justin.
Just coffee. Like the videos were just memories. Like his dick in her was just a friendly gesture. A hot, sour anger boiled up in his throat. He fought it down, trying to cling to the persona of the cool, understanding husband. It was slipping through his fingers like sand.
Justin: I see.
Ashley: Don’t be like that. You’re the one who wanted this. You’re the one who wanted him to fuck me. You opened this.
She was right. That knowledge was a knife twist. He had orchestrated the re-introduction. He had watched it and gotten hard. He had asked for her truth. Now he was drowning in it.
Justin: I know. It’s fine.
The next day was a series of empty meetings. Justin performed his role with automaton precision, smiling, nodding, contributing nothing of substance. His mind was a thousand miles away, locked on a simple, terrifying question: What was she doing right now?
His phone stayed silent until late afternoon. A new message.
A new message. Not a text. A video file, sent with no preamble. The thumbnail was a blur of gray concrete and denim. Justin’s heart hammered against his ribs as he ducked into a deserted alcove near the conference rooms. He tapped play.
The camera was low, shaky, pointed upward. It was the underside of a steel table in a public park. Greenish light filtered through the slats above. The audio picked up the distant shrieks of children on a playground, the hum of city traffic. Then, Ashley’s voice, hushed and breathless. “Here? Someone will see.”
Hunter’s voice, closer, a low rumble. “Let them.”
The angle shifted as the phone was propped against a bag. The frame captured their lower halves. Hunter’s hand was on the back of Ashley’s head, guiding her down. She sank to her knees on the concrete, between his spread legs. Justin could see the worn knees of Hunter’s jeans, the scuff on his work boot.
“You missed this, didn’t you?” Hunter said, his tone conversational, as if asking about the weather. His other hand unzipped his fly.
Ashley didn’t answer with words. A low, hungry sound escaped her as she tugged his jeans down over his hips. His cock, thick and already fully hard, sprang free. Justin’s breath caught. It was immense, a angry-looking flush of skin that made his own feel insignificant. Ashley’s slender fingers wrapped around the base, her knuckles white.
“Look at it,” Hunter commanded softly. “Look at what you’ve been thinking about since your husband let me have you.”
She leaned forward, her tongue darting out to trace a vein from root to tip. She took the swollen head into her mouth, her lips stretching obscenely wide. A groan rumbled from Hunter’s chest. He watched her, his expression one of cool ownership. “That’s it. Open wider. You can take it.”
She tried, her jaw straining. She managed to sink halfway down his length before gagging, saliva slicking her chin. Hunter didn’t pull back. He held her head, his fingers tangling in her brown hair. “Relax your throat, Ash. You know how.”
Justin pressed his own back against the cold wall, his body rigid. The juxtaposition was jarring—the innocent park sounds, the brutal intimacy under the table. Ashley obeyed, forcing herself still, and Hunter pushed deeper. Her nose pressed into the coarse hair at his base. She took him all, her throat convulsing around him.
“Fuck yeah,” Hunter breathed, his hips giving a slight, involuntary thrust. He held her there, buried in her gullet, for a long, terrifying second before pulling back. She gasped for air, a string of spit connecting her lips to his glistening cock. “Good girl. Now get it wet. I’m gonna fuck that tight little ass of yours right here.”
Justin’s vision tunneled. Her ass. The memory from her story—the tear, the fire—collided with the live image of Hunter’s monstrous size. Ashley was already turning, bending over, bracing her hands on the cold metal leg of the table. She hiked her summer dress up around her waist. She wasn’t wearing panties.
Hunter spat into his palm, working it over his shaft. It wasn’t enough. Not for that. He aimed the ruddy head at her puckered entrance, and Justin could see the tense, clenching resistance of her body. Hunter pushed. Ashley cried out, a sharp, pained sound swallowed by the park’s ambient noise.
“Shhh,” Hunter soothed, but he didn’t stop. He applied relentless, grinding pressure until the tip popped past the ring of muscle. Ashley whimpered, her fingers scrambling on the metal. He sank another inch, the stretch visible, cruel. “There it is. Just like old times. You’re so fucking tight back here.”
He began to move, short, shallow strokes that made her gasp with each intrusion. Justin could only watch, paralyzed, as Hunter’s hips established a brutal rhythm. Each thrust went deeper, stretching her wider, the soft slap of skin-on-skin hiding in plain sight. Ashley’s face was turned toward the hidden camera, her expression a mask of strained ecstasy. Tears tracked through the dirt on her cheeks.
“You love this,” Hunter grunted, his control fraying. “You love getting your asshole wrecked where anyone could walk by.” He drove into her, hilt-deep, and she screamed, a raw, ragged thing muffled by her own arm. He fucked her like that, pounding her over the public table, his balls slapping against her.
Justin’s phone vibrated in his hand. A text overlay on the still-playing video.
Ashley: He came in my ass. It’s still dripping out of me. I’m in the park bathroom cleaning up.
The video ended. Justin stood in the alcove, the corporate murmur of the conference a nonsensical buzz. He typed, his fingers clumsy.
Justin: Why didn’t you tell me beforehand?
The reply was immediate.
Ashley: You would have said no. Or you would have wanted to watch. This was for me. The animal got out.
He read the words twice. The finality in them was absolute. The rules had changed. No discussion. No consultation. Only this stark, post-factum reporting. The power he’d thought he held—the power to orchestrate, to permit—was an illusion she had kindly indulged. It was gone.
A wave of nausea, hot and acrid, rose in his throat. But beneath it, coiling low in his gut, was that same treacherous heat. He was hard. The image of her walking through a sun-dappled park, his come leaking inside her, was horrifying. It was also intensely, shamefully arousing.
His next meeting was in five minutes. He had to present a quarterly analysis. He looked down at his hands. They were trembling. He closed his eyes, and all he could see was the violent, stretching breach of her body, the tear on her cheek, the utter submission he had demanded and now could not bear.
He walked back into the stream of suited professionals, his smile a stiff, foreign thing on his face. His phone, heavy in his pocket, felt like a live wire. She had told him. But she had not asked. And that, he understood with a chilling clarity, was the point. The door wasn't just open now. It was gone.
