Chapter 1: Chapter 1
The idea hit me while I was knee-deep in code, my third energy drink going flat next to the keyboard. David had texted that he’d be grading papers late again, a sad-face emoji following the message. My boyfriend, the responsibly overworked high school English teacher. A little thrill, part mischief, part pure, buzzing need, shot through me. I minimised my IDE and opened a new tab.
An hour of frantic digging through my cosplay supplies later, I stood before my full-length mirror. The plaid skirt was shorter than I remembered, hitting mid-thigh. The white button-up was tight across my chest, the second button straining. I’d pulled my long, curly hair into two幼稚 pigtails, tied with red ribbons. I looked like a very, very deliberate parody of a student. The final touch was the most important. I slid my plain cotton panties down my legs and stepped out of them, letting the cool air of the room brush against my skin. A shiver that had nothing to do with temperature danced up my spine. This was the core of the fantasy, the secret I would carry into that empty, echoing building.
I drove to the school with a giddy sense of rule-breaking, even though I was twenty-three and had every right to visit my boyfriend. But I wasn’t here as Cleo, girlfriend. I was here as… someone else. The parking lot was nearly empty, just David’s sensible sedan and the janitor’s truck tucked far away. The back door by the gym was propped open with a wedge, just like he’d said.
The hallway was a cavern of linoleum and silence, broken only by the distant hum of fluorescent lights and my own footsteps. My ballet flats were quiet, but my heart was a drum solo in my ears. I passed lockers, trophies in a glass case, a poster about the power of poetry. It all felt incredibly illicit. I adjusted the strap of my tote bag on my shoulder, feeling the weight of the condoms and lube inside next to my usual wallet and keys—the collision of my mundane and my meticulously planned decadence.
His classroom door was slightly ajar, a slash of warm yellow light cutting across the dark corridor. I peered in. There he was, Mr. Sterling, my David, bent over a sprawl of essays at his desk. His brow was furrowed in concentration, a dark lock of hair falling over his forehead. He’d taken his tie off and undone the top button of his shirt. He looked so serious, so scholarly. My stomach did a flip.
I took a deep breath, willed the confident, needy part of me to the surface, and pushed the door open.
It swung with a soft creak. He didn’t look up, just sighed, marking a paper with a furious red slash. “Mark, I told you, the janitor’s closet is down the hall to the—” he began, his voice tired.
Then he looked up.
His green eyes went wide. His pen froze mid-air. For a long second, he just stared, his brain visibly short-circuiting as it tried to reconcile the image before him with reality. The ‘student’ in the uniform, the pigtails, the… me.
“Cleo?” he finally managed, the word a mixture of disbelief and dawning awareness.
I shifted my weight, letting my tote bag slide to the floor with a soft thud. I bit my lower lip, aiming for nervous, but letting the sparkle in my eyes give me away. “Mr. Sterling?” I said, my voice pitching a little higher than usual. “I… I hope I’m not disturbing you.”
He leaned back in his chair, the old thing groaning under his weight. A slow smile started at the corner of his mouth. He was catching on. “Office hours ended at four,” he said, playing along, his tone carefully neutral, but I saw the flicker in his gaze as it travelled down my body.
“I know,” I said, taking a few steps into the room. The skirt swished around my thighs. I stopped in front of his desk, not the student chair, but right before him. “I just… I needed some extra help. With my… composition.”
“Is that right?” He put his pen down deliberately. “Your composition.”
“Mmmhmm.” I let my fingers trail along the edge of his desk. “I’m having trouble. With my… climax.”
The word hung in the air between us, bold and ridiculous. His professional façade cracked fully then, a low chuckle escaping him. “Your climax.”
“The build-up is fine,” I continued, leaning forward just enough so the strained button on my shirt gaped slightly. I saw his eyes drop, then snap back to my face. “I just can’t seem to nail the resolution. I was hoping you could… guide me.”
He stood up then, slowly, unfolding his tall frame from the chair. He came around the desk, stopping close enough that I could smell the faint scent of his soap and the coffee he’d been drinking. The room felt ten degrees hotter. He reached out and hooked a finger under one of my pigtail ribbons. “This is a new look.”
“Do you like it?” I whispered, all pretense of the nervous student melting into my own genuine, hungry curiosity.
“I’m a teacher, Cleo,” he murmured, his voice dropping, rough at the edges. “I’m not sure I should be commenting on a student’s appearance.”
“But I’m not really a student,” I said, closing the last inch between us, my body not quite touching his. I looked up at him through my lashes. “And you’re not really my teacher right now. Are you, David?”
He was silent for a beat, his breath warm on my forehead. The only sounds were the hum of the lights and the pounding of my own pulse. The moral boundary we were toying with was a fiction, but its forbidden flavor was potent, exhilarating.
Then his hands came up to cradle my face, his thumbs stroking my cheeks. “No,” he said, finally. “I’m not.”
His kiss wasn’t gentle. It was claiming, answering the challenge I’d laid down. It was all tongue and heat and the faint, academic taste of black coffee. My hands flew to his shoulders, gripping the crisp cotton of his shirt. He pulled me tight against him, and I gasped into his mouth as I felt the hard line of his arousal press against my belly through our clothes.
He broke the kiss, breathing hard. His eyes were dark, pupils blown. “You’re incredible,” he breathed. “And utterly mad. What if someone saw you come in?”
“The hall’s empty,” I said, nipping at his lower lip. “And I was very, very quiet.” I slid my hands down his chest, to his belt buckle. “But I’m not feeling very quiet now.”
His fingers found the hem of my short plaid skirt, sliding underneath. The touch of his warm, broad hand on the bare skin of my thigh made me jolt. He stilled. “Cleo… are you…?”
I grinned, wicked and wide. “A serious student travels light.”
A groan tore from his throat. In one smooth motion, he swept a stack of essays from the surface of his desk. They fluttered to the floor in a hailstorm of red ink. Before I could laugh, his hands were on my waist, lifting me, setting me down on the cool, smooth wood of the desk.
The surface was hard against my thighs. He stepped between them, his hands running up my legs, pushing the skirt up around my hips. The air in the room was cool on my exposed skin, but everywhere he touched was fire. He leaned in, his mouth finding the sensitive spot where my neck met my shoulder, his teeth grazing lightly.
“So,” he murmured against my skin, his breath hot. “This desperate student needs some personal instruction?”
“Yes, Mr. Sterling,” I whispered, the title a deliberate vibration against his lips.
Then I broke away, sliding off the desk. My ballet flats made no sound on the linoleum. I looked up at him, at the thrilling confusion and desire warring in his green eyes, and let the performance take over completely. The needy student, overwhelmed by her infatuation. The power of the fiction was a current humming under my skin.
I quickly acknowledged him as "Mr. Sterling" like a good girl should and fell to my knees, hungry for his cock in my mouth and his hands in my hair.
The floor was cold and hard through my thin tights. The change in altitude was dizzying. From here, the classroom looked different—larger, more imposing. The essays scattered on the floor were a chaos of failed metaphors and grammatical errors. And he was a monolith above me, all lean muscle and restrained authority in his teacher’s trousers. I looked up the line of his body, meeting his stunned gaze. His lips were parted, his breath caught.
“Cleo…” It was a strangled sound, half protest, half plea.
I didn’t speak. I let my eyes answer. I reached for his belt, my fingers fumbling with the cold metal of the buckle, a genuine tremor of excitement making me clumsy. The rasp of the leather sliding free was obscenely loud. The button of his trousers gave way. The zpper’s hiss was the only sound in the vast, silent room besides the frantic beat of my own heart.
I didn’t wait for permission. I guided him out, the heat and weight of him firm in my hand. He was already fully hard. I leaned forward, letting my breath ghost over him first, watching his stomach muscles clench. Then I took him into my mouth, slowly, letting the fullness and the taste of him—salt and clean skin—crush any last coherent thought.
A sharp, guttural curse escaped him. His hands, which had been hanging at his sides, shot into my pigtails. He didn’t yank, not yet. His fingers twisted into the curls, gripping with a possessiveness that made me moan around him. The sensation vibrated through him, and he jerked his hips forward, a shallow, involuntary thrust.
“God,” he choked out. His head fell back, the cords of his neck standing out. He looked at the acoustic tiles of the ceiling as if seeking divine intervention. “You have no idea… what you’re doing.”
But I did. I knew exactly. The cool air from the vent above, the smell of dry-erase markers and old paper, the absolute illicit wrongness of our location—it all fused with the physical act, amplifying every sensation. I worked him with my mouth and hand, finding a rhythm, listening to the shifts in his breathing. His grip in my hair tightened, guiding me, not forcing. A teacher directing a pupil. The fantasy was a circuit, complete and live.
His thighs trembled. His hips began to move in a more deliberate, desperate cadence. The desk rattled slightly behind him with each thrust. The metal legs squeaked against the floor. Each sound was a bullet of adrenaline. I relaxed my throat, taking him deeper, letting the pressure build. I was wet, aching, the rough weave of my tights a maddening friction against my own need.
“Stop.” The word was ragged, torn from him.
I released him immediately, pulling back with a soft, wet sound. I looked up, my lips swollen, questioning.
He was staring down at me, his eyes wild, chest heaving. “Not like this,” he panted. “Not here.” He hauled me up by my arms, his strength effortless. My knees protested the sudden movement.
Before I could process the rejection, he spun me around, bending me over the very desk I’d just been sitting on. My palms flattened on the cool wood. My plaid skirt was pushed up around my waist. The air hit my bare skin.
“Here,” he growled, his voice stripped of all pedagogy, pure and raw. One hand splayed possessively on the small of my back, holding me down. The other fumbled between my legs, a single, rough stroke through the slickness there that made my vision blur. He swore again, softly, with reverence.
Then he was pushing into me, filling the empty, frantic ache in one slow, devastating stroke. The desk creaked in earnest under our combined weight. A choked cry escaped my throat, swallowed by the dusty quiet of the empty classroom. He held himself there, deep, letting us both feel the shocking intimacy of the connection, the profound violation of the setting.
He began to move.
He began to move. Each thrust was a punctuation mark against the quiet, the solid desk shuddering beneath my weight. His breath came in ragged gusts against my ear, his body pressed tight against my back, holding me down. The classroom was a blur of green chalkboard and motivational posters at the edges of my vision. My fingers scrambled for purchase on the smooth laminate, slick with sweat.
“So is this,” I gasped, the words leaving me in time with his rhythm, “the kind of extra credit you give all your students, Mr. Sterling?”
His hand, splayed on my lower back, stilled for a second. Then it slid up, gripped the nape of my neck under my pigtails, not hard, but firmly. A teacher’s correction. “Only the ones who don’t do their homework,” he grunted, his voice thick.
The fiction was a live wire between us. I leaned into it, my own desire magnified by the persona I wore. “Admit it,” I taunted, my voice shaking as he drove into me, deep and unforgiving. “You’ve thought about this. Late nights in your empty classroom. Grading papers. Wondering.”
He didn’t answer with words. His hand left my neck and came down in a sharp, sudden crack against my backside. The sound was shockingly loud in the sterile room. A bright, stinging heat bloomed where he’d struck. I cried out, a sharp, unfiltered sound that seemed to hang in the air.
“Harder,” I begged, the word barely more than a whimper swallowed by the sound of our bodies meeting. “Please, Mr. Sterling, I’ve been so… so naughty.” The plea tore itself from a place of pure, unadorned need, the fantasy and reality melting into a single, white-hot point. “Fuck me harder. Please.”
It was the permission he needed, the last shred of restraint vaporizing. His pace turned punishing, his grip on my hips bruising and absolute. The desk slammed against the wall with each powerful drive, the thud a bass note to our ragged breathing. Every impact sent a jolt through me, a cocktail of sharp sensation and dizzying pleasure. He was everywhere—the smell of him, the sound of him, the feel of his clothed body against my bare skin. The world narrowed to the four walls of this room, to the creaking desk, to the man burying himself in me with a desperation that matched my own.
His rhythm broke, became erratic, frantic. A low, guttural groan was torn from his chest, a sound of pure surrender. He buried his face between my shoulder blades, his body seizing as he fell apart inside me. I clenched around him, my own climax rolling through me in a long, silent wave, my vision spotting at the edges, my cries muffled by my own arm bitten between my teeth.
For a long moment, there was only the sound of our breathing, harsh and uneven, slowly settling back into the room’s natural silence. The faint buzz of the lights returned to awareness. The chill of the air on my sweat-slicked skin. He stayed there, his weight a solid warmth on my back, his forehead resting between my shoulders.
Slowly, carefully, he pulled away. The separation was a shock, a sudden coldness. I heard the soft rustle of his clothes, the metallic click of his belt. I didn’t move, my limbs loose and liquid, my cheek pressed against the cool desk.
A hand, gentle now, smoothed down my back, then tugged my skirt back into place. He helped me stand, my legs wobbly. When I turned to face him, his shirt was untucked, his hair a mess. He looked utterly undone. He cupped my face, his thumbs wiping at smudged mascara I hadn’t realized was there.
“You,” he said, his voice rough and quiet, “are a menace.”
I gave him a shaky, triumphant smile. “You loved it.”
He didn’t deny it. He just shook his head, a laugh escaping him that was mostly awe. He looked around at the disarray—the essays on the floor, the desk now several inches out of place. “We need to get out of here before the night security does his rounds.”
Reality, mundane and procedural, seeped back in. We moved quickly, quietly. He righted the desk. I gathered the scattered papers into a messy pile, placing them back on its surface. My hands trembled slightly. The adrenaline was leaving, leaving behind a deep, satiated exhaustion and a giddy, secret thrill.
He watched me, leaning against the chalkboard tray. “You’re not wearing any underwear, are you?”
I straightened my blouse, trying to look prim. It was impossible. “Told you. Serious student. Travels light.”
He pushed off from the board, walked over to me, and kissed me deeply, slowly. It was different now—tender, knowing, stripped of the frantic roleplay. It was just David and Cleo again. “Let’s go home,” he said against my lips. “Before you get us both arrested.”
He turned off the lights, and we slipped into the dark hallway. Our footsteps echoed, two sets now, walking close but not touching. As we passed a glass case reflecting our blurred shapes—him, the disheveled teacher; me, the ‘student’ with smudged lips and knowing eyes—I reached out and took his hand. He laced his fingers through mine, giving them a squeeze. We didn’t speak. The silence between us was no longer empty, but full of everything that had just happened, a shared secret humming in the dark.
