Chapter 3: Rising Action
Lilith stretched languorously, her eyes scanning the familiar walls of her dorm room.
"I'll admit; it feels good to be back on campus after months apart," she muttered, her voice echoing in the quiet solitude.
"Still, I can't shake off the restlessness that accompanies my return," Lilith admitted, her gaze fixated on the window overlooking the sprawling quadrangle.
"I guess I'm still adjusting to the monotony of daily routines," she sighed, her shoulders drooping slightly.
"After spending so much time alone, it's difficult to readjust to the hustle and bustle of everyday life."
Ethan sighed sympathetically, his eyes scanning the haphazard clutter strewn across the carpeted floor. "I certainly understand, Lilith," he agreed, his voice tinged with empathy. "We've been away from civilization for quite some time.
I wonder how they're doing," Ethan mused thoughtfully, his eyes tracing the contours of Lilith's sinewy form. As the afternoon sun cast its golden hue upon the dusty landscape, the couple nestled comfortably within the cramped confines of their caravan. The air reeked of rancid grease and burnt rubber, an olfactory reminder of their transient existence amidst the unforgiving wilderness.
"They must be managing just fine," Lilith remarked nonchalantly, her fingers tracing intricate patterns upon the scuffed dashboard.
