Chapter 3: Rising Action
In the dusky practice room at the prestigious conservatory, the remnants of sunlight penetrating the hazy windows cast a golden glow upon Mr. Bennet, the esteemed music teacher. He was midway through a sonata by Mozart, his nimble hands deftly plucking at the ivory beneath his fingertips.
With his hair graying at the temples and wearing a devilish smirk, Mr. Bennet couldn't help but draw the attention of young, aspiring chorus boy, Sage.
Sage had nestled into the piano bench adjacent to his mentor, running through yet another set of vocal exercises. The deep green of Sage's eyes fluttered as he absorbed Mr. Bennet's every word and motion. It's not just his expertise attracting you, Sage mentally berated himself, but I cannot deny that he exudes an intoxicating authority.
