Chapter 2: Two Fingers, Two Women, One Mess
The soldering iron clattered against the desk when Jamie slammed it down.
Chloe flinched. She was still on her knees, still naked, still dripping onto the carpet like a leaky faucet. Her thighs had gone numb twenty minutes ago. Her back ached from the angle. But she hadn't moved. Hadn't spoken. Hadn't done anything except watch Jamie work and try not to think about the fingers that had been inside her, the taste of herself on Jamie's skin, the way Jamie had called her a good girl and made her whole body clench.
The circuit board in front of Jamie sparked.
A tiny burst of blue light, a sizzle, and then nothing. The LED strip that had been flickering on the edge of the desk went dark. Jamie stared at it for three seconds. Then she picked up the board and hurled it across the room.
It hit the wall. Cracked. Fell to the floor in pieces.
Chloe's breath caught.
Jamie turned. Her eyes were black. Not dark brown—black, the pupils blown so wide they'd swallowed everything else. Her jaw was tight. Her hands were shaking.
"Fourteen months," she said. Her voice was barely a whisper. "Fourteen fucking months, and I can't even—"
She stopped. Her gaze dropped to Chloe. To the carpet. To the wet smear that had spread beneath her knees, dark and unmistakable against the cheap beige fibers.
Something shifted in Jamie's face.
"Look at you," she said.
Chloe's stomach dropped. "Jamie—"
"You're fucking soaked." Jamie took a step forward. Then another. "You've been kneeling there for an hour, dripping onto my floor, and you think I wouldn't notice?"
Chloe's face burned. She tried to close her legs, but Jamie's foot caught her knee.
"Don't."
The word was flat. Final. Chloe froze.
Jamie crouched down. Her hand found Chloe's chin and tilted it up, forcing eye contact. Her thumb brushed Chloe's bottom lip—the same thumb that had been inside her earlier, still faintly slick.
"You ruined my project," Jamie said. "You ruined fourteen months of work. And then you came here and offered yourself up like a fucking party favor, and I—"
She laughed. It was a horrible sound. Hollow.
"And I took it. Because I've wanted you for three years. Because I've watched you walk around campus like you're untouchable, and I wanted to touch you. I wanted to break you open and see what was inside."
Chloe's eyes stung. "I'm sorry—"
"I know you're sorry." Jamie's grip tightened. "You've been sorry all night. You've been sorry on your knees with your mouth full and your cunt dripping, and you're still sorry, and it doesn't change anything. It doesn't bring back my project. It doesn't fix the grant. It doesn't—"
She stopped. Her hand dropped from Chloe's chin. She stood up, turned away, and drove her fist into the desk.
The coffee mug jumped. Whiskey sloshed over the rim. Chloe heard the crack of knuckles against wood and winced.
"Jamie—"
"Shut up."
Chloe shut up.
Jamie stood there, breathing hard, her back to Chloe. Her shoulders were shaking. Not with tears—with rage. The kind of rage that had been building for years, compressed into a thin, quiet girl who never raised her voice and never let anyone see her crack.
Chloe should have left. She should have grabbed her clothes and run. That's what a normal person would do. That's what someone with self-preservation would do.
Instead, she crawled forward. One hand, then the other. Knee, knee. Across the carpet, past the scattered circuit boards, until she was right behind Jamie, close enough to touch.
She reached out. Her fingers brushed Jamie's hip.
Jamie spun.
The backhand came out of nowhere—a crack of knuckles against Chloe's mouth that snapped her head sideways. Pain exploded through her jaw. Her lip split. She tasted copper.
She didn't fall. Didn't gasp. Didn't cry out.
She turned back to Jamie, blood on her teeth, and whispered, "Thank you."
The words hung in the air between them.
Jamie's eyes went wide. Her hand—still raised, still trembling—froze. For a long moment, she just stared. Like Chloe had grown a second head. Like she'd spoken in tongues.
Then something in her face changed. Something dark and hungry and utterly unhinged.
"Oh," Jamie breathed. "Oh, you're—"
She didn't finish. She grabbed Chloe by the hair—both hands, no gentleness now, no pretense—and hauled her off her knees.
Chloe's scalp screamed. Her feet scrambled for purchase on the carpet. She was upright, then off-balance, then slammed against the wall beside the desk. The plaster cracked against her shoulder blades. The breath left her lungs in a rush.
Jamie's mouth was on hers before she could inhale.
It wasn't a kiss. It was a collision. Teeth and tongue and the copper taste of Chloe's blood mixing with the whiskey on Jamie's breath. Chloe's hands flew up—to push away, to hold on, she didn't know—and Jamie caught her wrists and pinned them above her head.
"Don't," Jamie said against her mouth. "Don't you fucking move."
Chloe didn't move.
Jamie's knee shoved between her legs. Her thigh pressed against Chloe's cunt—hard and unyielding—and Chloe moaned into her mouth before she could stop herself.
"That's it," Jamie murmured. "That's what I wanted. That sound."
She kissed her again. Slower this time. Deeper. Her tongue swept into Chloe's mouth like it belonged there, tasting blood and whiskey and the faint salt of tears Chloe hadn't realized she'd shed.
When she pulled back, her lips were red. "You liked that."
It wasn't a question.
Chloe's throat worked. "Yes."
"You liked it when I hit you."
"Yes."
"Say it."
"I liked it when you hit me."
Jamie's eyes flared. Her grip on Chloe's wrists tightened. "You're a mess. You know that? You're a fucking mess."
"I know."
"You came here to apologize and now you're naked and bleeding and begging for more."
"I know."
"You didn't even put up a fight."
"I didn't want to."
Jamie's breath hitched. For a second—just a second—something vulnerable flickered across her face. Then it was gone, replaced by that cold, calculating focus.
"On the floor," she said. "Now."
Chloe sank. Her knees hit the carpet. Jamie knelt in front of her, still gripping her hair, and kissed her again—messier, hungrier, teeth catching Chloe's split lip and making her gasp.
Then Jamie's hand was between her legs.
Three fingers—no warning, no preamble. They shoved inside her, stretching her wide, and Chloe's back arched off the wall. She cried out. It echoed off the ceiling and the cluttered shelves and the robot arm that had watched her degrade herself for the past hour.
"Fuck," Jamie hissed. "You're so fucking tight. So fucking wet. Is this all for me?"
"Yes," Chloe choked out. "Yes, yes, all for you—"
Jamie's fingers curled. Chloe saw white. Her hips bucked, grinding down, trying to take more. Jamie laughed—low and mean and delighted—and started to fuck her.
Not gentle. Not slow. Jamie drove her fingers in and out with a rhythm that was brutal and precise, her thumb finding Chloe's clit and pressing hard enough to hurt. The pain made everything sharper. Brighter. Chloe's nails dug into Jamie's shoulders, scrabbling for purchase, and Jamie bit her neck in response.
"Jamie—Jamie, please—"
"Please what?"
"Please don't stop. Please don't—"
"I'm not stopping." Jamie's voice was thick. Wrecked. "Not until you come. Not until you soak my hand. You want that?"
"Yes. God, yes."
"Then take it."
Chloe took it.
The orgasm tore through her like a live wire—sudden and violent and overwhelming. She screamed. Jamie's name, probably. Something that might have been words. Her thighs clamped around Jamie's wrist and her nails raked down her back and she came so hard she saw spots.
Jamie didn't let up. Kept fucking her through it, kept curling her fingers, kept grinding her thumb against that swollen bundle of nerves until Chloe was sobbing and oversensitive and shaking.
Only then did she pull out.
Jamie held up her hand. Her fingers were slick. Glistening. She looked at them, then at Chloe, then back at her fingers. Without breaking eye contact, she put them in her mouth and sucked them clean.
Chloe made a sound. It wasn't human. It was barely alive.
"You taste like mine," Jamie said.
Chloe's chest heaved. Her body was still trembling, still riding the aftershocks. Sweat cooled on her skin. The carpet burned against her shins. She couldn't remember ever feeling this exposed. This wrecked. This completely, utterly owned.
"You—" Her voice cracked. "You're not done."
Jamie's eyebrow lifted. "What?"
"You're not done." Chloe's hand moved. Slow. Deliberate. Up Jamie's thigh, over the denim that still covered her, toward the heat between her legs. "I'm not the only one who's wet."
Jamie's jaw tightened. Her hand snapped out and caught Chloe's wrist. "Don't."
"Why not?"
"Because I said so."
"You said I could stop at any time." Chloe's heart was pounding. Her voice was shaking. But her hand didn't retreat. "You said it twice. Three times. So I'm asking. Is this what you want?"
Jamie's eyes darkened. Her grip on Chloe's wrist tightened. For a long moment, she didn't move. Didn't speak. Just stared at Chloe like she was seeing her for the first time—not the cheerleader, not the popular girl, not the pretty face from across the quad.
Something else entirely.
Then she let go.
"Fine."
The word was sharp. A challenge. Chloe took it.
She pulled at the button of Jamie's jeans. Hauled them down over her hips. Jamie kicked them off, her underwear going with them, and then she was kneeling there in nothing but her hoodie—her bare cunt exposed to the cool air, her thighs already shiny.
Chloe didn't hesitate.
She shoved two fingers inside her.
Jamie's breath exploded out of her lips. Her head fell back. Her hands grabbed Chloe's shoulders, digging in, and Chloe felt a rush of power that made her dizzy.
"That's it," Chloe muttered. "That's what I thought."
"Shut up."
"Make me."
Jamie's eyes snapped open. She grabbed a fistful of Chloe's hair and yanked her forward—mouth to mouth, rough and urgent—and bit her bottom lip hard enough to draw fresh blood.
Then her hand was between Chloe's legs again.
Two sets of fingers. Two sets of hands. They tangled together on the floor like animals, each one buried inside the other, each one panting and cursing and grinding. Chloe couldn't tell where her body ended and Jamie's began. The carpet was wet beneath them. The air was thick with sweat and sex and the metallic tang of blood.
Jamie's fingers fucked her harder. Chloe retaliated by curling her own upward, finding that spot that made Jamie's hips stutter.
"Fuck," Jamie gasped. "Fuck you."
"You started it."
"I hate you."
"No, you don't."
Jamie's eyes met hers—dark and hot and completely undone. "No," she admitted. "I don't."
She kissed her again. Softer this time. Desperate. Her tongue slid against Chloe's like she was trying to memorize the shape of her mouth.
Chloe's thumb found Jamie's clit. Rubbed it in tight, fast circles. Jamie's whole body shuddered. Her fingers inside Chloe went frantic—sloppy and rough and perfect.
"I'm—" Jamie choked. "I'm close—"
"Come," Chloe whispered. "Come for me."
Jamie did.
Her body locked up. Her mouth opened in a silent scream. She came in waves—pussy clenching around Chloe's fingers, thighs shaking, hands gripping so hard they'd leave bruises. Chloe didn't stop. Kept moving, kept rubbing, kept drawing it out until Jamie was sobbing and pushing her hand away.
Then Chloe pulled her fingers out. Held them up. Licked them clean the same way Jamie had. The taste of her was bitter and sweet and utterly intoxicating.
Jamie watched her, breathless. Wrecked. Her hoodie was rucked up around her waist, her hair sticking to her forehead, her lips swollen and red.
"You," she said hoarsely, "are a fucking menace."
Chloe smiled. Her lip split open again and it hurt. She didn't care.
"You made me this way."
Jamie laughed—a real laugh this time, shocked and breathless and almost warm. She reached out and cupped Chloe's jaw, her thumb brushing the bruise that was already forming.
"I did," she said. "I did make you this way."
She leaned in. Kissed her forehead. Then her nose. Then her mouth, gentle now, almost tender.
"We're not done," she murmured against Chloe's lips.
Chloe's eyes fluttered open. "We're not?"
"No." Jamie pulled back. Looked at her. The dark hunger was still there, banked but not extinguished. "You still owe me a project. And I still have all night."
She stood up. Offered Chloe her hand.
Chloe took it.
Behind them, the soldering iron smoked on the desk. The robot arm tipped over with a clatter. The lamp buzzed overhead, yellow and sickly and constant.
Down the hall, someone's door slammed. Music thumped. Laughter echoed.
Chloe stood there, naked and bleeding and bruised, holding hands with the girl who'd just destroyed her and rebuilt her in the same breath.
"Where's the whiskey?" she asked.
Jamie blinked. Then pointed.
Chloe walked over. Picked up the bottle. Took a long pull. The liquid burned all the way down, mixing with the taste of Jamie on her tongue.
She turned back. Met Jamie's eyes.
"Okay," she said. "Let's finish this."
Jamie smiled. It was sharp. It was hungry. It was everything.
"Good girl."
