Chapter 5: The Twin Submission
The click of the buckle echoed like a gunshot in the silent penthouse. Stephanie flinched violently, her head snapping back as the cold black leather settled around her throat. The small O-ring pressed insistently into the hollow above her collarbone, a chilling counterpoint to the frantic pulse hammering beneath it. Her bound hands flew up instinctively, fingers scrabbling uselessly at the unyielding band, a choked whimper escaping her lips. Her wide, terrified eyes locked onto Jeanette’s, silently screaming Why?
Jeanette stood frozen, the echo of that decisive click vibrating in her own bones. The collar in her hand felt suddenly alien, heavy with the weight of Stephanie’s devastation. She saw the stark terror contorting her best friend’s face, the leather wrist cuffs a brutal frame for her trembling. That dark, treacherous flicker Tom had ignited – the one that had hummed through her as Stephanie kissed her nylons – faltered, nearly extinguished by a wave of sickening guilt.
Tom observed Stephanie’s frantic struggle with detached interest, his blue eyes cool. "Settle," he commanded, his voice slicing through her panic. It wasn't loud, but it carried the absolute certainty of obedience. Stephanie froze mid-scrabble, her fingers still touching the collar, breath coming in ragged gasps. Tears streamed freely now, cutting tracks through the remnants of her makeup.
Then Tom turned. Fully. To Jeanette. A slow, deliberate pivot that felt like the world tilting. That familiar smirk touched his lips, but it held none of its usual playful edge. This was pure, focused intent. His hand dipped into the pocket of his impeccably tailored trousers. When it emerged, it held another collar. Identical. Black leather. Gleaming O-ring.
Jeanette’s breath hitched. The collar she held for Stephanie suddenly felt like a brand. Her gaze darted from the collar in Tom’s hand to his face. "Tom...?" Her voice was barely a whisper, strangled by disbelief. Hers? After she’d fetched Stephanie’s? After she’d touched her, shushed her, betrayed her?
"Kneel, Jeanette," Tom said. The command was casual, almost conversational, yet it hit Jeanette like a physical blow, driving the air from her lungs. It wasn't a request. It was an undeniable directive, layered with the unspoken history of every submissive moment they'd ever shared, every time she'd willingly surrendered to his control. It resonated in the pit of her stomach, warring violently with the guilt churning there.
"No," Jeanette breathed, the word trembling. She took an involuntary step back, her heel bumping the edge of the open closet door. The racks of lingerie and restraints blurred behind her. "Not… not like this. Not with her…" She gestured weakly towards Stephanie, who stared, paralyzed with fresh horror, understanding dawning that Jeanette wasn't exempt.
"You misunderstand," Tom stated calmly, taking a step towards her. He held the collar loosely, letting the supple leather sway slightly. "This," he nodded towards Stephanie, rigid and collared in the leather chair, "is her consequence. For her interference. Her arrogance." His gaze locked back onto Jeanette, piercing. "But you… this is your choice. Your place. The place you crave, even when you fight it." He took another step, closing the distance. The scent of his cologne, usually a comfort, now felt like an intoxicant mixed with the sharp tang of Stephanie’s fear. "Kneel. Show her where you belong."
The conflicting forces within Jeanette tore at her. Loyalty screamed at Stephanie’s terrified face. Pride recoiled at the humiliation of kneeling before her collared friend. But deeper, older, more visceral than either, was the pull. The undeniable, terrifying allure of yielding to him. Of stepping back into the familiar, consuming fire of his dominance. The memory of the power she’d felt when Stephanie kissed her nylons, under his command, surged back, hot and insistent. Her knees felt weak.
Stephanie found her voice, a raw scrape. "Jeanie, don't! Please! You don't have to—"
"Silence, Stephanie," Tom cut in, his voice like ice. Stephanie flinched back into the chair as if struck, her protest dying in a sob.
Jeanette looked at her best friend – small, broken, bound, collared, pleading. Then back at Tom. His expression was expectant. Certain. He knew her. Knew the secret thrill she got from the surrender, the delicious loss of control she secretly craved beneath her teasing independence. He knew the dark current that ran through her, the one Stephanie had accidentally tapped into. He was offering the plunge, framed by Stephanie’s ruin.
Her gaze dropped to the carpet. The luxurious pile seemed to swirl beneath her feet. The city lights beyond the vast windows blurred into meaningless streaks of color. The only real things were the cool leather in her own hand – Stephanie’s collar – and the one dangling from Tom’s fingers. Hers.
Her breath shuddered out. The fight drained from her shoulders, leaving a terrifying, familiar emptiness. A space ready to be filled by his will.
Slowly, deliberately, Jeanette placed Stephanie’s collar on the edge of the nearby coffee table, beside a stack of art books. The simple act felt like severing a lifeline. Then, without looking at Stephanie again, she turned fully to face Tom. Her blue eyes, usually sparkling with mischief, were wide, dark pools reflecting the city lights and his unwavering presence.
Her left knee hit the plush carpet. Then the right. She sank down, the silk of her short dress whispering against her nylon-clad thighs. She knelt before Tom, her head bowed slightly, the crown of her blonde hair level with his waist. The posture was surrender. Absolute. The penthouse air hung thick, charged with disbelief, horror, and a dark, undeniable current of erotic tension.
Tom let the silence stretch, savoring the tableau: Stephanie, bound and collared in the chair, watching in numb terror; Jeanette, kneeling at his feet, head bowed, her petite frame radiating reluctant submission. He reached out. His fingers brushed the side of Jeanette’s neck, just below her ear. She shivered, a tremor running through her, but didn't pull away. His touch traced the line where the collar would sit.
"Good girl," he murmured, the praise a velvet-wrapped blade. He lifted the collar. The black leather loop opened. Jeanette closed her eyes, bracing for the cold clasp, the defining click. She felt the band encircle her throat. Cool. Smooth. Inevitable. Tom adjusted it with practiced care, his fingers briefly grazing her skin, sending another jolt through her system. The buckle found its mate.
Click.
The sound was softer this time, intimate. The leather settled with gentle, unyielding pressure. The O-ring rested against her throat, a cold, hard reality. She felt the weight of it. The symbol of it. Owned. Collared. Kneeling.
Tom’s hand rested possessively on the crown of her head for a moment, fingers tangling briefly in her blonde hair. A final claim. Then he stepped back slightly, surveying his work. Stephanie stared, mute with shock, tears still flowing silently. Jeanette remained kneeling, eyes still closed, breathing shallowly, feeling the impossible reality of the collar, the cool floor beneath her knees, the vast, silent judgment of the city beyond.
Tom’s voice cut through the heavy silence, calm, commanding, addressed to Jeanette but encompassing them both. "Look at her. Look at Stephanie."
Jeanette’s eyes opened. Slowly, reluctantly, she lifted her gaze, meeting Stephanie’s bewildered, devastated stare. The shame burned, fierce and bright.
"Now," Tom commanded, his voice dropping to a low, intimate register that vibrated in Jeanette’s collarbone. "Kiss her."
