Chapter 1: Introduction
The club was a throbbing heartbeat of sound and light, a place where inhibitions came to die. Alexandro leaned against the bar, his body relaxed, his eyes alert. He was a tall drink of water, broad shouldered with a presence that commanded attention. His eyes, a piercing blue, scanned the crowd with a detached interest, yet there was a warmth to him that made people gravitate towards him. He was the type of man who could make you feel seen, really seen, with just a single look.
Across the room, a woman danced with an energy that was impossible to ignore. She moved with the rhythm of the music, her body fluid and strong.
Her short blonde hair was a halo of light under the strobing colors, and her sharp features were animated with joy. She was athletic, her movements graceful and powerful, like a dancer who had trained her whole life. But there was something wild and unpredictable about her, too—she danced like no one was watching, like she didn't care what anyone thought. It was infectious, that joy, that abandon. It was a beacon in the sea of bodies, a siren song that drew Alexandro's gaze like a moth to a flame.
He found himself following her with his eyes, tracing the lines of her body as she moved, her hips swaying, her arms raised, her fingers brushing against her own skin like she was tasting the rhythm of the music. He felt a stirring within him, a slow burn that started in his belly and spread like wildfire. She was captivating, this woman who danced like no one was watching, and he found himself wanting to know her, to understand her, to feel her.
The song ended, the lights dimmed for a moment, and the crowd cheered. She turned around, her eyes scanning the crowd, her chest heaving as she caught her breath.
Her gaze met Alexandro's, and she paused, her eyes widening slightly. He didn't look away, didn't break the connection. He took a sip of his drink, his eyes never leaving hers, his expression neutral, yet there was something in his gaze that made her breath hitch.
He raised an eyebrow, a small smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "Impressive moves," he said, his voice a low rumble that seemed to vibrate through her.
She grinned, a wide, bright smile that lit up her whole face. "Thanks," she said, her voice breathy, her chest still rising and falling with exertion.
She pushed a loose strand of hair away from her face, her fingers lingering on her forehead for a moment. "It's been a while since I've let loose like that."
"It shows," Alexandro replied, his voice a low purr. "You're a natural."
She laughed, a sound like music, rich and full and alive. "I should be. I've been dancing since I could walk."
He raised an eyebrow, a slow smile spreading across his face. "A dancer, huh? I wouldn't have guessed. You've got the moves, but you've got...something else. An edge.
A spark. Something wild and untamed that couldn't be taught or trained. It was in the way she moved, the way she laughed, the way her eyes danced with mischief. It was intoxicating, and Alexandro found himself drawn to her like a moth to a flame.
"What do you do, Alexandro?" she asked, her voice a soft purr that seemed to wrap around his name like a caress. She stepped closer, her body invading his personal space, her eyes never leaving his.
"I'm Casey, by the way."
He held out his hand, his fingers brushing against hers. "Alexandro. Nice to meet you, Casey."
She didn't take his hand. Instead, she moved even closer, her breath hot on his lips. "Alexandro," she whispered, his name a caress on her tongue. "You're a dangerous man, Alexandro."
He smiled, a slow, lazy smile that promised all kinds of sin. "Is that so, Casey?"
She nodded, her eyes locked on his mouth. "Yes. But you didn't answer my question"
"About what I do"
Only a nod returned with a bitten lip belied her fascination and desire to know more about this man who commanded such attention.
Alexandro's hand moved to her waist, his fingers sliding over the smooth fabric of her dress, feeling the warmth of her skin beneath. "I do a little of this, a little of that," he said, his voice a low growl. "What about you? You said you're a dancer, but I get the feeling there's more to you than that."
Casey's eyes sparkled with amusement. "I'm a neuropsychologist," she said.
Subtly she stepped back to break the intoxicating connection between then. Eyes expectantly deepening and entraining to Alexandro's breath she said
"Some of my colleagues have told you about what you do"
Alexandro smirked, "I'm someone you want to stay away from then?"
A coy nod. "That's what I mean - there's danger about you Alex"
Her eyes traveled his body lingering on the way his suit fit, the broadness of his shoulders, and the sharp contours of his face. It was a journey of exploration, a raw, unfiltered appreciation of the male form.
Alexandro chuckled, a low, raspy sound that seemed to resonate in her very core. "And what if I told you that you're right?"
Casey's eyes widened, a soft gasp escaping her lips. "You like dangerous, Alex?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
The air between them crackled with tension, the dance floor forgotten as they stood locked in their own world.
Alexandro's smile was wicked, his eyes darkening with desire. "I fucking love it, Casey. I live for it. The thrill, the chase, the conquest. It's a high like no other."
Casey's breath hitched, her heart pounding in her chest. She could feel the heat radiating off him, see the lust in his eyes. She wanted him, wanted to feel him, to taste him. She was a woman who knew what she wanted, and right now, she wanted this man.
"Show me then"
Casey took Alexandro's hand, her fingers intertwining with his, and led him towards the dark corner of the rooftop bar, away from the pulsating crowd. She turned to face him, her body pressing against his, her eyes locked onto his. "Show me, Alex," she whispered, her voice husky with desire. "Show me what you like."
Alexandro's gaze intensified, his eyes flickering with a mix of surprise and appreciation. He let her lead for a moment, enjoying the feel of her hand in his, the scent of her perfume wafting through the air. But he was a man who liked to be in control, and he could see the spark of challenge in her eyes. He stepped closer, his body pressing against hers, his hands finding her waist. "With pleasure, Casey," he said, his voice low and seductive.
Before he could reach out to her, she stepped closer, her hands flattening against his chest. He felt the heat of her palms through the fabric of his shirt, her touch firing a trail of sparks across his skin. She looked up at him, her eyes dark with desire, her lips parted.
"Show me," she repeated, her voice barely a whisper. She pushed him back against the railing of the rooftop bar, her body pressing against his. The cool metal of the railing bit into his back, but he didn't mind. The sensation only heightened the contrast of her warmth, her softness, her heat. He could feel her heartbeat, fast and rapid, matching his own.
Alexandro let her lead for a moment, enjoying the feel of her hands on his chest, her fingers splayed wide as if she wanted to touch every inch of him.
But he was a man who liked to be in control, and he could see the challenge in her eyes, the dare. He leaned in, capturing her lips in a fierce, hungry kiss. He didn't give her a chance to protest, didn't give her a chance to pull away. He wanted her, and he was going to have her.
The kiss was a claim, a declaration of intent. Alexandro's lips were firm, his touch demanding as he devoured her mouth. Casey gasped, her body arching against his, a soft moan escaping her lips as she melted into his embrace. The surprise of the kiss quickly gave way to a burning desire, her body responding to his touch like a flame to a spark.
Her hands, which had been flat against his chest, now curled into fists, gripping the fabric of his shirt tightly.
She ran her hands down his chest, feeling the contours of his muscles, the firmness of his body. It was as if she wanted to touch every inch of him, to commit his form to memory through touch alone. Her fingers brushed against his nipples, a soft gasp escaping her lips as she felt him shiver beneath her touch. She looked up at him, her eyes dark with desire, her lips swollen from his kiss.
Alexandro groaned, a low, guttural sound that seemed to resonate in her very core. He loved the feel of her hands on him, the way she touched him as if he was a treasure to be explored. He could feel the heat of her palms, the firmness of her grip, and it was driving him mad. He wanted more, needed more. He wanted to feel her touch everywhere, to have her hands on him, in him, around him.
But he also wanted to feel her move, to watch her dance, to see her lost in the rhythm of the music. So, he took her hand and led her back to the dance floor. The music had shifted, the tempo slower, the beat more sensual. It was a song that demanded bodies to entwine, to explore, to devour.
Casey moved against him, her body pressing into his, her hips swaying in time with the beat. She let her hands wander, her fingers tracing the line of his jaw, his neck, his chest. She wanted to touch him, to feel him, to memorize the contours of his body. He mirrored her movements, his hands exploring her waist, her hips, her back.
His touch was firm, his fingers tracing the curve of her body, as if he wanted to memorize every inch of her. Casey felt a shiver run down her spine, a delicious sensation that left her breathless. She had never felt so seen, so desired, so…wanted. She looked up at him, her eyes locked onto his, her breath coming in ragged gasps. The dance floor was crowded, but it felt as if they were the only two people there, lost in their own world, their own rhythm. Alexandro's hands moved to her hips, his touch possessive, his grip firm. He pulled her closer, their bodies pressing together, their hips moving in sync. Casey could feel the heat of him, the hardness of his body, the promise of his desire. She let out a low moan, her head falling back, her eyes closed.
But then, something in his expression made her laugh softly, a sound that was equal parts amusement and desire. "You like to be in control, don't you, Alex?" she said, her voice a husky whisper.
Alexandro's lips curled into a smirk, his eyes never leaving hers. "Always, Casey. But I'm not the only one who likes it."
He spun her around, her back to his chest, his hands resting on her hips. She could feel the heat of his body, the firmness of his grip, and she arched back against him, a soft sigh escaping her lips. He was right, she thought. She did like it when he was in control. There was something safe about it, something exhilarating. The way he took control, the way he knew what he wanted and wasn't afraid to take it. She felt her heart rate quicken, a sense of urgency building within her.
She leaned back against him, her head resting on his shoulder, her body molding to his. She whispered in his ear, her voice a low murmur that seemed to vibrate through his very being, "I want you to take me somewhere, Alex. Somewhere we can be alone."
Alexandro's breath hitched at her words, his body tensing at the suggestion. He had expected to seduce her, had planned to take his time, to draw out the anticipation, the desire. But she was ready, and so was he. He spun her around to face him, his eyes dark with desire, his hands cupping her face.
"Are you sure, Casey?" he murmured, his voice a low growl. "I'm not known for my restraint."
She smiled, her eyes sparkling with excitement and mischief. "That's what I want, Alex. I'm ready."
His thumb traced her bottom lip, his eyes never leaving hers. "Then let's go," he said, his voice low and husky. He took her hand, his fingers intertwining with hers, and led her off the dance floor, through the crowd, and out the door.
The city was alive with noise and light, a stark contrast to the secluded intimacy of the rooftop bar. Casey could feel her heart pounding in her chest, excitement coursing through her veins. She was taking a chance, she knew that.
But there was something about him, something wild and untamed, something dangerous that drew her in like a moth to a flame. He paused, considering her words, his eyes searching hers for any sign of doubt or hesitation. But all he saw was a fiery determination that mirrored his own.
A slow smile spread across his face, his eyes never leaving hers. "I like your style, Casey," he murmured, his voice a low rumble that sent shivers down her spine.
"Let's go somewhere more private." He led her to the elevator, his hand firmly on the small of her back, guiding her through the crowd. The press of bodies around them seemed to intensify the intimacy of the moment, the world outside fading away as they stepped into the elevator.
The sudden silence was a stark contrast to the thrumming energy of the club. Casey turned to face him, her heart pounding in her chest. She was playing with fire, she knew that. But the heat of his gaze, the promise in his eyes, it was all too intoxicating. She couldn't resist. Alexandro pressed the button for the penthouse, his eyes never leaving hers. He stepped closer, his hands reaching up to cup her face, his thumbs tracing the line of her jaw. "You're sure about this, Casey?" he asked, his voice a low growl.
She smiled, her eyes sparkling with mischief and desire. "I thought you'd never ask," she murmured, her lips brushing against his as the doors closed around them.
