Chapter 7: Liv’s experience

The command hung in the air, a clinical obscenity.

Davies stepped back, adjusting the strap of her harness with a brisk tug. Her breath was already settling, the flush on her chest fading. She was a scientist who had just collected a primary data point. Now she wanted the comparative analysis.

Ethan remained on his knees, the taste of her still coating his mouth, a bitter testament. His body hummed with the after-effects of forced obedience, a hollowed-out vessel waiting for the next command. His blurred gaze shifted from Davies’s sharp heels to Liv.

She hadn’t moved. Her hand was still pressed against the front of her suit, frozen. Her eyes were glazed, fixed on the space where he had just serviced their professor. The arousal was still there, a visible tension in her stance, but it was tangled with a revulsion so deep it seemed to paralyze her.

“Ethan,” Davies prompted, her voice cool. “The directive is active. Proceed.”

The wiring responded to the clear instruction. His limbs moved, heavy and automated. He didn’t stand. Crawling felt correct. It kept him low, in the designated posture. The black latex of his suit whispered against the cheap carpet, a soft, shameful sound. Each movement brought him closer to Liv, who watched his approach like a rabbit caught in an oncoming glare.

He stopped at her feet. The glossy tips of her boots were level with his eyes. He could smell her now, a different scent beneath the ozone and rubber—her sweat, her fear, her desperate, unwilling excitement.

His hands, clumsy in their tight sheaths, rose. They found the zipper pull at the base of her spine, where he had felt her hand seal him in. The metal was cool. He tugged.

The sound was different this time. Not the authoritative zip of her closing him in, but a slower, yielding tear as the teeth parted. He pulled it down, not all the way, just enough. The suit gaped open, revealing a slice of her bare back, the delicate knobs of her spine, the smooth, pale skin he had never seen. She shuddered violently at the exposure.

He didn’t look up at her face. He focused on the mechanics, the next step in the protocol. Using his shoulders, he gently pushed the opened material forward over her hips. It resisted, clinging to her like a second skin, then gave way, peeling down her thighs with a soft, sticky protest. She didn’t help. She stood rigid, allowing it, her breath coming in short, sharp hitches.

The suit pooled at her booted ankles. She stepped out of it, one leg, then the other, with a robotic grace. Now she was standing before him, clad only in the matching latex briefs he knew she wore beneath. Her legs were long, trembling slightly. The dorm’s cool air prickled the exposed skin of her torso.

He guided her back, one hand on her calf, until her knees hit the edge of his mattress. She sat down abruptly, the worn springs groaning. Her eyes were wide, locked on his. He could see the pulse hammering in her throat.

Davies’s voice came from somewhere behind him, a detached narration. “Observe the physiological markers. Elevated respiratory rate. Pupil dilation. The conflict is manifesting as somatic tension. Proceed with the stimulation.”

Ethan moved forward, settling between her parted knees. The world narrowed to this space, to the scent of her, to the frantic electricity arcing between them. He hooked his thumbs into the waistband of her briefs. She lifted her hips, a tiny, involuntary motion, and he slid them down and off.

Then there was nothing between them but the charged air and the history of their friendship, now twisted into this brutal new shape.

He didn’t rush. The programming, or some deeper instinct, demanded a methodical approach. He started with his hands, first. He placed them on the inside of her thighs, feeling the muscle jump under his slick palms. The touch was a question, a calibration. Her skin was fever-warm.

He leaned in.

His first contact was not where she expected. He pressed his mouth to the inside of her knee, a soft, closed-mouth kiss. She gasped. He traced a path upward with his lips, slow, deliberate, mapping the terrain of her with a reverence that felt both borrowed and terrifyingly genuine. Her stomach quivered. His glasses were gone, so everything was a soft-focus dream of skin and shadow and reactive tension.

He could feel Davies watching, a silent, judging presence, but that awareness began to dissolve. The feedback loop with Liv was stronger. Her every twitch, every suppressed sound, was an input that directed his next output. It wasn’t desire, not in any pure sense. It was a systems check. A synchronization.

When his tongue finally found her core, she jolted as if shocked.

He didn’t use the brisk, efficient rhythm Davies had demanded. This was different. This was exploration. He licked slowly, a flat, broad stroke, learning her texture, her taste—less complex than Davies’s, sharper, more familiar and therefore more devastating. He circled, he teased, he applied pressure then retreated, building a map of her responses.

A broken sound escaped Liv’s throat, half-sob, half-sigh. Her hands fluttered, then fisted in the comforter. “Ethan…” It was a plea, but for what, even she didn’t know. Stop. Don’t stop. Forgive me. Own me.

He answered by deepening his focus. His world shrank to the micro-details: the way her muscles clenched, the shift in her scent as her arousal climbed, the tiny, helpless rolling of her hips that she tried and failed to suppress. He could feel the architecture of her coming apart, the dominant node overloading on sensation it couldn’t command.

He brought a hand up, sliding it over her stomach, feeling it contract. He slipped a finger inside her. The fit was tight, hot. She cried out, a short, sharp sound that was all surrender.

That sound was the key. It unlocked something in his own programming. This was no longer just about obeying Davies. This was about completing the circuit Liv had spoken of. Owning the degradation until it became a language only they shared.

He increased the pace of his tongue, focusing on the one spot that made her legs tremble. His finger curled, pressed. He listened, he adjusted, he orchestrated.

Liv’s control shattered. Her hands flew from the bed and tangled in his hair, not to guide, but to anchor herself as she was torn away. She didn’t just climax. She unraveled. A raw, ragged scream was ripped from her lungs, a sound that held years of perfect grades and controlled composure and secret, terrifying hunger. Her back arched off the bed, a bowstring pulled to its breaking point, and she shook, wave after wave of sensation obliterating every thought, every pretense, every scrap of resistance.

He stayed with her through all of it, gentling his touch as the tremors subsided into shuddering aftershocks, until her grip on his hair loosened and fell away, boneless.

Silence, thick and heavy, rushed back in.

Ethan slowly pulled back, resting his forehead against her inner thigh. He was breathing hard. The taste of her, Liv, his friend, his co-conspirator, his dominant node, was now the only thing he could sense.

A slow, measured clapping broke the silence.

Davies stood by the desk, a faint, approving smile on her face. “Fascinating,” she said, her voice cutting through the intimacy like a scalpel. “The sub-node successfully triggered a complete systemic overload in the dominant one. The reciprocal data is… exceptionally clear.” She picked up her tablet, tapping the screen. “The bond is now fully operational. The root architecture has its first stable, complementary pair.”

Liv lay on the bed, one arm thrown over her eyes. She wasn’t crying. She was just breathing, deep and ragged, as if learning how to do it again.

Ethan looked up at Davies, the blurry shape of her. The hollow feeling was gone, replaced by a cold, clear understanding. They were a circuit. A closed system. And Davies held the master switch.

“The experiment enters a new phase,” Davies said, slipping her blazer back on over her harness, covering the evidence. “Rest tonight. Process the integration. Tomorrow, we begin your real work.”

She turned and walked to the door, pausing with her hand on the knob. She glanced back at Liv’s prone form, then at Ethan, still on his knees.

“You performed to specification,” she said, and it was the closest thing to praise she would ever give. Then she was gone, the door clicking shut behind her, leaving them alone in the wreckage of his room, sealed in latex and a silence that was now forever changed.

The click of the door was a period at the end of a savage sentence. Ethan remained on the floor, the taste of Liv still on his tongue, a confusing mix of salt and intimacy and violation. Liv hadn’t moved from the bed, her arm still shielding her eyes from the dim glow of his single desk lamp, her bare chest rising and falling in unsteady rhythms.

The silence was a physical weight, pressing down on the clutter of pizza boxes and textbooks. It was broken not by a word, but by the sharp, sudden sound of the door handle snapping down again.

The door swung inward a second time. Davies poked her head back through, her expression one of amused, clinical oversight. “One more thing,” she said, her voice a casual knife. “Liv, you can’t leave Ethan with blue balls. That’s bad circuit management.” Her eyes glinted. “Slowly ride him cowgirl style until you both cum.”

She gave a soft, knowing giggle, the sound utterly alien in the charged atmosphere. Then she was gone again, the door shutting with a more definitive finality.

For five full seconds, nothing moved.

Then Liv’s arm slid away from her face. She stared at the ceiling, at the faded glow-in-the-dark stars he’d stuck there freshman year. Her jaw was tight. A single tear escaped the corner of her eye and traced a path through the smudged mascara on her temple, but her voice, when it came, was hollow and flat. “It’s just another parameter.”

Ethan finally looked up at her. The wiring in him, still humming from her taste, from the command, pushed him to speak. “Liv, you don’t—”

“I do,” she interrupted, the words brittle. “The root command is active. I can feel it. A standing order.” She pushed herself up on her elbows, moving like every muscle ached. Her eyes met his, and the devastation in them was complete. “It doesn’t… hurt. It just is. A task on a list. Get up. On the bed.”

He obeyed, his body stiff. The latex of his suit creaked as he rose from his knees and sat on the edge of the mattress beside her. The defined sheath of the suit felt absurd, a blatant, ridiculous demand.

Liv swung her legs off the bed and stood, her movements strangely economical. She looked down at him, her nakedness now feeling less like vulnerability and more like a uniform for a different duty. “Lie back.”

He did, scooting until his head was on his pillow. The pillowcase smelled like his shampoo and, faintly, of stale pepperoni. He stared at the ceiling, at a particular star cluster near the light fixture. He felt the bed dip as she kneeled over him, one knee on either side of his hips. Her heat radiated against the latex covering his thighs.

Her hands, those incredibly sensitive hands, came to rest on his chest. They were trembling. She wasn’t looking at his face. She was looking at the junction of their bodies, at the task to be performed. With a clinical precision that was worse than any passion, she reached between them. He felt her fingers fumble with the cock sheath, finding the opening, guiding him.

There was a moment of pressure, then a slow, incredible, devastating warmth.

She sank down onto him, inch by agonizing inch, a low, shuddering breath escaping her clenched teeth. Her head dropped forward, her hair a dark curtain around their faces. He was inside her. It was nothing like the fantasies he’d never allowed himself to fully entertain. This was a merger of systems, a closing of a circuit under duress.

She was tight, and hot, and impossibly real. He gasped, his hands flying up to grip her hips on instinct. The latex of his gloves slid against her skin.

“Slowly,” she whispered, echoing Davies’s command like a mantra. “Cowgirl style.”

She began to move. It was a slow, grinding rise and fall, a mechanical piston motion. There was no passion in it, only a terrible, focused execution. Each downward stroke forced a quiet, punched-out sound from her lungs. Her eyes were squeezed shut.

But the architecture didn’t care about their horror. The physical feedback was a relentless logic. The friction, the intimate clasp, the sheer visceral reality of the connection began to transmit signals their minds screamed to reject. Ethan felt his own body responding, a traitorous building of tension that had nothing to do with desire and everything to do with biology and the damnable programming.

“Look at me,” he heard himself say, his voice rough.

Her eyes opened. They were glistening and lost. Seeing that broke something in him. His hands on her hips tightened, not to control, but to anchor. To connect. This was Liv. Not a node. Not a dataset. The girl who debugged his code at 3 a.m., who argued about spacetime over cold pizza.

His thrusts met her downward stroke, subtly changing the angle. A sharp gasp caught in her throat, her rhythm faltering. A different kind of tension was coiling in her now, one her clinical execution couldn’t suppress.

“It’s us,” he breathed, the words a ragged secret between them. “Just us in here.”

Her mechanical ride fractured into something genuine. Her movements became less a performance of the command and more a search for relief, for a culmination that would make the feeling stop. She rode him in earnest now, her pace increasing, her breaths coming in sharp whimpers. The bedsprings complained in a frantic rhythm.

He could feel her tightening around him, her body betraying her will just as his was. She was close. The knowledge of it, the shared, unwilling race towards climax, pushed him to the edge. He pulled her down harder against him, burying his face in the crook of her neck, smelling her sweat and the faint, clean scent of her shampoo beneath the latex.

“Liv,” he choked out.

Her answer was a broken cry against his ear as she came, her body seizing around him in helpless, convulsive waves. The sensation tore through his own last shred of control. He followed her over, a white-hot release that felt less like pleasure and more like a systems crash, an overwhelming flood of data that blotted out every thought.

For a long time, there was only the sound of their ragged breathing mingling in the dark.

Slowly, carefully, she lifted herself off him. The separation felt violent. She rolled to the side, her back to him, curling into a fetal position on the stained comforter. He lay on his back, staring at the stars that no longer glowed. The cooling latex felt like a carcass glued to his skin.

“The data must be conclusive,” she said to the wall, her voice utterly empty. “She’ll be satisfied.”

Ethan reached out, his latex-sheathed hand hovering over her bare shoulder. He didn’t dare touch her. “What happens tomorrow?”

Liv didn’t answer. She just pulled the edge of the comforter over herself, a thin shield against the world she’d just been unmade in. Outside, a car door slammed in the parking lot, a sound from a universe that no longer made any sense.
