Chapter 8: Down to business
The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled Mandy's small but cozy living room, the scent mingling with the faint trace of laundry detergent and the lingering remnants of last night's pizza. The sun streamed in through the large window, casting a warm glow on the worn leather couch where Alice and Pete sat, their heads bent over Mandy's laptop. Mandy sat at the small kitchen table, her eyes scanning the screen of her own laptop as she scrolled through the endless stream of comments and messages from their fans.
