Chapter 2: Building Tension
The aroma of garlic and herbs wafted through the air as Mike placed the last of the dishes in the sink. He glanced over his shoulder to see Angie wiping her hands on a dish towel, her long brown hair cascading down her back. She was a vision of domesticity, but he knew the wild beast lurked beneath her calm exterior. He smiled to himself, remembering the last time they had let that beast out to play.
"Rachel's almost ready," Angie said, her voice soft. "She's been looking forward to this all week."
Mike nodded, drying his hands on a towel. "Me too. I think we're all ready for a little...
excitement," he said, his voice low and playful. "It's been too long since we've had a real adventure."
Angie chuckled, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "You mean since we last had Rachel over for a weekend?"
Mike raised an eyebrow. "Well, that too. But I was thinking more about... exploring new boundaries."
Angie's smile widened, and she leaned in to kiss him softly on the lips. "I think we can arrange that," she whispered.
The sound of heels clicking on the hardwood floor echoed through the house, signaling Rachel's arrival. She walked into the kitchen, her shoulder-length brown hair bouncing with each step.
Rachel was a woman of curves, her body a testament to her love for comfort food and good wine. She was a friend first, but Mike had always admired her confidence and her laugh, which was infectious and genuine.
"Hey, you two," she said, her voice warm and inviting. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything."
Angie shook her head, a playful smile on her face. "Not at all. We were just about to head to the living room. Mike was about to give you a massage."
Rachel's eyebrows shot up, a hint of surprise in her eyes. "A massage? Really?"
Mike chuckled, walking towards her. "Well, I thought it might help you relax.
You've been looking a little tense lately," Mike said, his voice casual. He gestured towards the living room, "Shall we?"
Rachel hesitated for a moment, then nodded, her cheeks flushing slightly. "Sure, why not? It's not like I have anything to lose, right?"
Angie laughed, linking her arm with Rachel's. "That's the spirit! Come on, let's get you comfortable."
They walked into the living room, the soft glow of the lamp casting a warm light over the plush couch and the thick rug on the floor. Mike had already set up a massage table in the corner, complete with a soft blanket and some scented oils.
