Chapter 1: Introduction
Kelly loved the way the swirling, rich, amber light caught the edges of every glass behind the bar, casting their contents in a warm, glowing light. She settled back into the plush leather chair, sipping her whiskey on-the-rocks, letting the burn spread through her chest with a promising warmth.
