Chapter 1: Meeting
The coffee shop had the stereotypical vibe, but the steamy beverage never failed to uplift the masses in their monotonous lives. I was Cassidy Hartfield, a twenty-two-year-old who had just moved to California, eager for a fresh start -new experiences, new friends, and even a new form of adventure.
Breathing in the aroma, which reminded me of fresh rainwater, I moved forward in the line, clutching my mint-colored wallet. The worn leather creaked softly, the sound bringing back a whimsical comfort.
My kinks had always been out of the ordinary, and I was always open to new things to tickle my adventurous side.
The barista in front of me called out that they would help the next person in line, jolting me back to the present. I'd been so immersed in my thoughts that I hadn't even noticed the length of the line shrink as people left the coffee shop with their orders. I smoothed down my long black hair and tried to look more put together.
"What can I get you today?" asked the barista.
My mind raced to match myself with what was needed for this interaction. I glanced down at the chalkboard above him, trying to figure out exactly what I should say. It wasn't that I couldn't order a drink; it was more about connecting with him.
Before I even finished forming a response, I felt someone brush against my shoulder. I whipped my gaze to the side, expecting someone to walk by. Instead, I met the gaze of Tyler Fernandez, the poured-over-pretty barista working the counter that morning.
He didn't seem to rush as he looked into my eyes, slowly taking in the sight of me. I couldn't help but notice the way his uniform clung to his broad shoulders, and how the soft fabric looked almost painted against the contour of his biceps. I could only imagine the muscles that lurked beneath that ensemble.
He asked the barista in a low rasp, "Can we hold up for a minute, man? I want to take care of this lovely lady first."
I watched as the barista nodded and went to another customer.
Tyler then shifted closer to me, making me feel a little self-conscious while also exhilarated. His gaze bore into me, as if he knew my secret kink of being tied up and gagged.
"So, what is your name?" Tyler softly demanded. His warm breath tickled my neck, causing me to shudder.
"Cassidy," I said, trying to maintain an air of composure. "And you are Tyler."
His teeth dazzled in a devilish smile.
"I know, Cassidy. And I also know that your bright green eyes hold a secret. Tell me, do you like a bit of danger? Of thrill?" He whispered the words into my ear, ensnaring me, causing my cheeks to burn with arousal and shame.
I contemplated my next move. He was just a stranger, but I'd felt I could trust him ever since he'd cut in line to take my order. To no avail, I searched his eyes for a glimpse of his darkest fantasies.
