They’ve shared an office floor for months without speaking—Vikrant, a meticulous CEO who plans everything, and Meenal, a spontaneous designer who refuses to plan at all. One late night, a stalled elevator strips away routine, control, and excuses. What’s left is tension, temptation, and the thrill of being caught.

Chapter 4: Morning After

Metal clanged. Voices filtered through the doors.

“Hold on—we’ve got it,” someone shouted outside the elevator.

“Oh fuck!” Meenal whispered, giggling as she hurriedly pulled her panties up and reached for her dress.

He grinned as he pulled on his clothes—the race between getting dressed and the doors opening well and truly on.

The elevator jolted, then the doors slid open to harsh fluorescent light.

He sat at one end of the elevator, adjusting his wristwatch. She was at the other, gathering the spilled contents of her purse. Both fully dressed.

One of the two technicians standing outside extended a hand to her, “Sorry about the delay. Took longer than expected to sort out.”

“It sure was a… long night,” she said, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear as she stepped out.

“Yeah, sometimes the pressure just builds up in the system,” the other technician said, offering Vikrant a hand.

“Good thing it got handled,” Vikrant replied, grinning as he stepped out.

“Sorry about the inconvenience,” one of the technicians added.

They looked at each other, struggling not to laugh.

Meenal turned back with an easy smile. “Once in a lifetime experience.”
