Chapter 1: The new relationship
The room was filled with the soft glow of the bedside lamp, casting long shadows across the walls. The air was thick with a sense of unspoken words, desires left unsaid, and a quiet desperation that hung heavy between us. Sara and I had been together for years, but lately, the spark that used to set our nights ablaze had begun to flicker and fade.
She sat on the edge of the bed, her long wavy black hair cascading over her shoulders, framing her green eyes that seemed to hold an ocean of thoughts.
Her fitted t-shirt hugged her curves, leaving little to the imagination, yet she seemed unaware of the effect she had on me. I watched her, my heart pounding in my chest, as she twisted her fingers together in her lap, a nervous habit I'd seen her do countless times before.
"Charly," she started, her voice barely above a whisper. "We need to talk."
I nodded, running a hand through my hair. "I know, Sara. I've seen it too. The spark isn't there like it used to be."
She looked at me, her eyes searching mine. "It's not just that, though. I feel like...
I'm not sure how to say this." She paused, taking a deep breath, her chest rising and falling in a way that made my pulse quicken. "I feel like there's something missing. Something we're not exploring."
I leaned back against the headboard, my eyes never leaving hers. "Like what? Tell me, Sara. I'm listening."
She stood up, pacing the room, her hands gesturing as she spoke. "I don't know if it's just me, or if it's us, but I feel like... I don't know. I feel like I need something more.
More excitement, more intensity. I feel like I'm not...submitting enough. Does that make sense?" She looked at me, her eyes wide and vulnerable, waiting for my reaction.
I was taken aback, but also intrigued. "Submitting? You mean like, in bed?"
She nodded, her cheeks flushing a soft pink. "Yeah. I've always had this dark streak in me, Charly. I've always wanted to...to give myself over to someone stronger. Someone who can take control. But it's hard for me to do that with you.
It's hard for me to submit to someone I love and respect as much as I do you." She paused, her eyes searching mine for understanding.
I took a deep breath, trying to wrap my head around her words. "So, what are you saying? You want to... explore this with someone else?"
She nodded, her eyes never leaving mine. "I think I need to. I think it's something I need to do to feel complete. To feel truly satisfied."
I felt a pang of hurt, but also a sense of excitement. This was a side of Sara I'd never seen before, and I was strangely drawn to it.
My heart pounded in my chest, a mix of emotions swirling inside me. I took a deep breath, trying to make sense of my own feelings. "And what about me? Where do I fit in all this?"
Sara turned to face me, her eyes softening. "That's what I want to talk to you about, Charly. I want you to be a part of this. I want you to watch, to support me. I want you to be my safe place, my sanctuary after."
I raised an eyebrow, intrigued and slightly taken aback. "Watch?
You mean...like, as in cuckold?" I asked, the word feeling strange on my tongue.
Sara nodded, her eyes never leaving mine. "Yes. I think that could work. But there are rules, Charly. We need to set some ground rules to make sure this works for both of us."
I swallowed hard, feeling a flutter of nerves and excitement in my stomach. "Okay, let's hear it. What are your rules?"
Sara sat back down on the bed, her hands still fidgeting in her lap. "First, I want to be the one who decides if you're present or not.
Some nights, it might just be me and him. Other nights, I might want you there, watching. It all depends on what I need that day." Sara's voice was firm, but she looked at me with concern, waiting for my reaction.
I nodded, trying to process her words. "Okay, I can understand that. But why not always have me there? Isn't that the whole point of cuckolding?"
Sara shrugged, her fingers still twisting together. "It's not just about you watching, Charly. It's about me exploring my own desires, my own needs. Sometimes, I might need to be alone with him to fully let go.
To truly submit." She paused, looking down at her hands. "And sometimes, I might want you to watch, to see me giving myself to someone else. It's a part of the thrill for me."
I felt a twinge of jealousy, but also a strange sense of excitement. What else?"
Sara looked up at me, her green eyes intense. "I want you to be completely honest with me, Charly. If at any point you feel uncomfortable or unhappy, you need to tell me. This is about both of us, not just me.
I need to know that you're okay with this, that you're not just going along with it because you think it's what I want. This has to work for both of us to be successful."
I took a deep breath, considering her words. "Okay, I can do that. Honesty is key.
Sara looked down at her hands again, her voice softening. "And I want you to be my safe place, Charly. After each... encounter, I need to come back to you.
I need to know that you're here for me, that you love me, and that you support me, no matter what. You're my rock, Charly. You always have been."
I reached out, taking her hand in mine. "Always, Sara. You know I'll always be here for you. No matter what."
She smiled at me, her eyes filled with relief and gratitude. "Thank you, Charly. That means the world to me."
She hesitated, her fingers still entwined with mine, before continuing, "There's just one more thing, Charly. I think...
I don't want to have sex with you anymore, Charly. I'm sorry, but I think it's best if we... if we stop."
Her words hit me like a punch in the gut. I felt a sudden, sharp pain, a mix of hurt, rejection, and confusion. I looked at her, my eyes searching hers for understanding, for any sign that she didn't mean what she was saying.
She must have seen the pain in my eyes, because she reached out, cupping my cheek in her hand. "I'm so sorry, Charly. I never meant to hurt you. But I think this is what's best for both of us.
You see, I want to fully give myself to these experiences, to explore this side of me without any inhibitions. And I think, if we continue to have sex, it'll just make it harder for me to let go. It'll blur the lines between us and them, and I don't want that."
Her words stung, but I could see the logic in them. I took a deep breath, trying to push down the hurt and focus on the bigger picture. "I understand, Sara. I really do. It makes sense."
She leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to my cheek. I knew you would understand.
I just hope you're not too hurt."
I took a moment to gather my thoughts, to process the weight of her words. "I am, Sara. I won't lie to you. It hurts like hell. But I trust you. I know you're doing what you feel is right for us, for me." I reached out, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, my thumb brushing against her soft skin. "So, who did you have in mind for this... arrangement?"
Sara's eyes flickered with a mix of excitement and apprehension. "Well, I've been thinking about it, and I have a few ideas.
But remember, I want this to be a mutual decision. I want you to be comfortable with whoever I choose." Sara's voice was soft, yet firm, as she laid out the ground rules for our new arrangement.
I took a deep breath, preparing myself for whatever she was about to say. "Okay, lay it on me. Who's on your list?"
She bit her lower lip, her eyes scanning mine as if gauging my reaction. "There's Bruce, your boss. He's always had a certain intensity about him. I think he could be...interesting."
I raised an eyebrow, taken aback. "Bruce? My boss?
The thought of Sara with Bruce sent a shockwave through me. I could picture Bruce, his chiseled jaw, the way his eyes pierced through you when he spoke. He commanded respect, and I knew he had a certain allure to him. But the idea of him with Sara? It felt... wrong, but also strangely intriguing.
"You're serious?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. "Yeah, I think he could be good for this. He's dominant, assertive.
He'd know how to handle me, or at least that's what I think," Sara said, her voice filled with a mix of anticipation and uncertainty.
I felt a strange sensation in the pit of my stomach, a mix of jealousy and excitement. The thought of Sara with someone who could challenge her, who could push her boundaries, was both terrifying and exhilarating. But Bruce? That felt like uncharted territory.
"Bruce?" I repeated, my mind racing with the implications. "He's... he's a bit intense, don't you think?"
"Exactly. Intense is good, isn't it? That's what I'm looking for," Sara replied, her eyes never leaving mine. I could see the determination in her gaze, the resolve behind her words.
"But if not Bruce, who else have you thought of?" I asked, still trying to wrap my head around the idea of Sara with my boss. I took a deep breath, steeling myself for her next suggestion.
Sara hesitated, her fingers playing with the hem of her shirt. "Well, there's also Tony from the gym.
You've seen him, right? The one with the massive biceps and the tattoos?" Sara asked, her voice cautious, as if gauging my reaction.
I nodded, the image of Tony instantly materializing in my mind. He was a regular at the gym, always pushing himself to the limit, always commanding respect. "Yeah, I know who you mean. He's... impressive," I admitted, trying to keep the jealousy out of my voice.
Sara smiled, her eyes lighting up. He's strong, dominant. I think he could handle me, challenge me in a way you can't." She paused, her voice softening.
"But I don't know, Charly. It's all so new to me. I don't know who would be the best fit for what I want to explore." She looked at me, her green eyes searching mine. "What do you think?"
I took a moment to process her words, my mind racing with the possibilities. "Well, I think we should start slow. Maybe not go for someone as... intense as Bruce right off the bat. Maybe someone you know well, someone you trust."
Sara nodded, considering my words. "Like who?"
I thought for a moment before the name popped into my head. "What about Nacho?
Your old coworker from the design agency. You two were close, and he always had a crush on you." I suggested, trying to keep my voice neutral.
Sara's eyes widened in surprise. "Nacho? Really?" She hesitated, her brow furrowing as she considered the suggestion. "I hadn't thought of him. He was always sweet to me, but I never saw him as... dominant. But maybe that's exactly why he could work. He's comfortable, familiar, and he knows me well."
I nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over me.
With someone like Nacho, you can ease into this. You know him, and he knows you. It might make the whole experience less intimidating."
Sara bit her lower lip, her eyes reflecting a mix of curiosity and apprehension. "You're right. Nacho would be a good starting point. He's always been a good friend, and I trust him." "Then that's settled. Nacho it is. But before we move forward, there's something I want to say."
Sara looked at me, her eyes filled with concern. "Of course, Charly.
What is it?" Sara asked, her voice softening as she saw the seriousness in my eyes.
I took a deep breath, trying to find the right words to express the whirlwind of emotions inside me. "I want you to know that I'm not doing this just to please you, Sara. I'm doing this because I love you, and I trust you. But I also want you to know that this won't be easy for me. Watching you with another man, knowing that I won't be the one giving you pleasure, it's going to be hard. It's going to hurt. But I also have to admit it turns me on, you know I've had cuckold fantasies for a while, just never thought they would become reality." I admitted, my voice barely above a whisper.
Sara's eyes widened in surprise, her hand reaching out to grasp mine. "You have? I didn't know that, Charly." She whispered, her thumb brushing against the back of my hand.
I nodded, a shiver running down my spine at the touch. "Yeah, I have. I've always had this... this desire to watch you with another man. To see you be pleased in a way I can't. It's twisted, I know, but it's there." I confessed, feeling the weight of my admission hanging in the air between us.
"But it's not just about the fantasy, Sara. It's about you. It's about making you happy. If this is what you need, then I'm in. A hundred percent."
Sara's eyes filled with tears, her voice barely a whisper. "I love you so much, Charly. I never want to hurt you. But I also need this. I need to explore this side of me, and I can't do that without you. You're my rock, my support.
She leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to my lips, her tears trailing down her cheeks.
"I love you too, Charly. More than anything in this world.
And I promise you, we'll take this slow. We'll figure it out together, one step at a time."
She sat back, wiping away the tears from her cheeks. "So, let's make a plan. I think we should start by setting up a profile on Tinder. Nacho's on there, and it'll be a good way to test the waters, see how this all works."
I nodded, a sense of determination replacing the earlier anxiety. "Yeah, that makes sense. But what about pictures? And what do we say in the intro?
Just 'looking for fun' or something more specific?" I asked, trying to keep my voice casual despite the storm of emotions swirling inside me.
Sara leaned back against the headboard, her long wavy hair cascading down her back. She thought for a moment before responding, "I think we should be honest, but also a bit vague. Something like, 'Exploring new experiences, looking for someone who knows what they want and isn't afraid to take control.' What do you think?"
I nodded, impressed by her ability to balance honesty and discretion. "That sounds good to me.
But what about pictures?" I asked, pushing the phone towards Sara. "You'll need to pick some that show off your...assets, but also make it clear you're not just looking for a casual hookup."
Sara's eyes sparkled with mischief as she took the phone from me. "Oh, I have just the thing in mind." She pulled up her camera roll and started scrolling through her photos. I watched as she selected a few pictures, her thumb swiping across the screen with confidence.
"What did you choose?" I asked, trying to peek at the screen from my angle.
Sara grinned, holding the phone up so I could see.
"This one," she said, showing me a picture of her in a low-cut top that accentuated her cleavage. Her hair was pushed back, and she was looking sultry into the camera. "It shows off my best assets without being too explicit."
I raised an eyebrow but couldn't argue. "You look... incredible. But what about the other pictures? Shouldn't we mix it up a bit?"
Sara nodded, scrolling further. "Good idea. Here's a full-body shot from that beach trip last summer. And this one is a bit more casual, just me laughing with a friend.
It shows a different side of me, but still gives a clear idea of what I look like."
I nodded in approval as I looked at the pictures she had selected. "They're perfect. They give a good sense of who you are without being too revealing. I'm certain you'll end up adding new ones as we get more comfortable with all this though." I chuckled softly, trying to lighten the mood.
Sara's eyes twinkled with amusement as she handed me back the phone. "You bet I will. But first things first, let's set up this profile and see what happens." She leaned against the headboard, her fingers dancing across the screen as she filled out her bio and added the selected photos.
I watched her, a sense of anticipation and nervousness churning in my stomach. "So, what do you want to say about yourself in the bio?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.
Sara looked up from the phone, her eyes meeting mine. "You know me better than anyone, Charly. What should I say?"
I thought for a moment, trying to capture the essence of Sara in a few sentences. "How about this: 'Creative designer by day, explorer by night. Seeking someone who can match my intensity and push my boundaries. No limits, no judgments. Only genuine connections and mutual exploration.'
Sara's eyes widened in surprise, a small smile playing on her lips. "Wow, that's... that's perfect.
It captures who I am and what I'm looking for," Sara said, her fingers flying across the screen as she typed in the bio. She paused, looking up at me with a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Should I mention that I'm in a relationship, or keep that part vague?"
I took a deep breath, considering her question. "You don't have to mention it explicitly, but I think you should hint at it.
Something like, 'I'm already in a committed relationship, but that doesn't mean I can't explore new experiences. My partner is supportive and understanding, and we're doing this together.' That way, you're being honest without giving too much away," I suggested, trying to keep my voice calm despite the whirlwind of emotions inside me.
Sara nodded in agreement, typing out the revised bio. She read it aloud, her voice steady and confident, "Creative designer by day, explorer by night. Seeking someone who can match my intensity and push my boundaries. No limits, no judgments. Only genuine connections and mutual exploration.
I'm already in a committed relationship, but that doesn't mean I can't explore new experiences. My partner is supportive and understanding, and we're doing this together." Sara asked, biting her lower lip as she awaited my response.
I studied her profile, my heart pounding in my chest. This was it. The moment where Sara's desires and our mutual fantasies began to manifest in the real world. I took a deep breath, trying to steady my nerves before I spoke.
"I think it's perfect, Sara.
It's honest, yet ambiguous enough to leave people curious. You'll definitely get a lot of attention with that bio," I said, handing the phone back to her.
Sara smiled, her eyes lighting up with excitement and a hint of nervousness. "Thanks, Charly. I couldn't have done this without you." She paused, her fingers hovering over the screen. "You know, this is actually kind of a big deal for me. I've never done anything like this before. It's a little scary, but also thrilling." "I know it is, Sara.
But you're not alone, remember? You've got me right here by your side, supporting you every step of the way.
Sara looked up at me, her green eyes softening as she took in my words. She took a deep breath, her fingers tightening around the phone. "Alright, let's do this. Let's see what happens." She tapped on the screen, her profile going live on Tinder.
I watched as she swiped through potential matches, her brow furrowing in concentration.
The room was filled with a tense silence, broken only by the soft clicking of her thumb against the screen. I could see the apprehension in her eyes, the mix of excitement and nervousness that was so characteristic of Sara.
"Wow, there are a lot of people on here," she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. "How do I even know where to start?"
I leaned back against the headboard, my eyes scanning the profiles with her. "Start with the ones that catch your eye. Look at their pictures, their bios. See who you feel a connection with."
Sara nodded, continuing to swipe through the profiles.
She paused on a picture of a man with chiseled features, dark hair, and intense eyes. "What about this one?" she asked, turning the phone towards me.
I studied the picture, feeling a pang of jealousy mixed with an unexpected thrill. "He looks... intense," I said, trying to keep my voice neutral.
Sara's eyes lingered on the picture. "That's exactly what I'm looking for. Someone who can challenge me, push my boundaries." She swiped right, and the app indicated a match. She smiled, a hint of excitement in her expression.
"That's one. Now let's see who else catches my eye."
Sara continued to swipe through the profiles, her fingers moving swiftly and confidently across the screen. I watched her, a sense of pride and anticipation swirling within me.
She paused again, this time on a profile with a picture of a man with a broad smile and warm, inviting eyes. "What about this one? He seems nice," she mused, showing me the profile.
I studied the picture, my initial reaction one of relief. This man seemed different from the intense, chiseled one she had matched with earlier. He had a friendly, approachable air about him.
Definitely more relaxed than the first one, I thought to myself. "He does seem nice," I agreed, looking closer at his profile. "His bio says he's into hiking and outdoor activities. That could be a good starting point for a friendly conversation."
Sara nodded, swiping right again. Another match. She grinned, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "I'm getting the hang of this. Let's see who else is out there."
We spent the next few minutes swiping through profiles, commenting on the ones that caught our eye. Some were too cheesy, others too vague.
But then, Sara paused again, her thumb hovering over a picture of a man with a casual smile and a playful gleam in his eyes. "What about him?"
I studied the picture, taking in his warm, inviting demeanor. "He looks friendly," I said. "Like someone you could have fun with."
Sara smiled, her eyes lingering on the picture. And his bio says he's into music and comedy. Sounds like a good time to me." She swiped right, and we both waited for the app to indicate a match.
A moment later, the screen flashed with the familiar hearts, and Sara let out a little whoop. "Yes! Three matches in one night. I'm on a roll!" she exclaimed, her eyes reflecting her excitement and anticipation.
I laughed, shaking my head at her enthusiasm. "You're like a kid in a candy store, Sara. It's adorable."
She grinned, her fingers already moving on to the next profile. "Well, it's been a while since I've felt this excited about something. I'm allowed to have some fun, aren't I?"
I nodded, my heart swelling with love and admiration for her.
"Absolutely, Sara. You deserve to have fun, to explore, to experience new things. And I'm here for you, every step of the way."
Sara's eyes softened as she looked at me, her smile turning tender.
She continued swiping through profiles, her enthusiasm undiminished. As she did, I noticed a familiar face appear on the screen. My heart paused for a moment before resuming its steady beat.
"Wait, Sara," I said, my voice barely a whisper.
"Is that...?"
Sara looked up from the phone, her eyes following my gaze to the profile on the screen. She blinked a few times before recognition dawned in her eyes.
"Oh my god, you're right," she exclaimed, her eyes widening in surprise. "That's... that's Nacho."
I nodded, my heart pounding in my chest as I took in the familiar face staring back at us from the screen. Nacho, Sara's old coworker from the design agency. I remembered the stories Sara used to tell me about him, how he had always had a crush on her but never had the courage to act on it.
His profile picture showed him smiling confidently, his eyes sparkling with a mix of charm and mischief.
"He looks different," Sara commented, her fingers hovering over the screen. "More confident, more sure of himself."
I nodded in agreement, a sense of unease washing over me. The thought of Sara with Nacho, a man she had known for years, was both familiar and unsettling. "I think it's a good sign," I offered, trying to keep my voice neutral. "It shows that he's grown and changed since you last saw him."
Sara nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. "Yeah, it does.
He looks like he's come into his own," Sara said, her voice filled with a mix of curiosity and nostalgia. She bit her lower lip, her eyes scanning his profile. "What do you think? Should I swipe right?"
I took a deep breath, trying to push down the unease churning in my stomach. This was what we had discussed, after all. Nacho was a safe choice, someone Sara knew and trusted. But seeing his face on the screen, the reality of the situation hit me like a punch in the gut.
"It's up to you, Sara. You know him better than anyone.
It's up to you," I said, my voice steady despite the storm of emotions raging inside me.
Sara looked at me, her eyes searching mine for any sign of hesitation or doubt. I held her gaze, trying to convey my support and understanding, even as my heart pounded in my chest.
She took a deep breath, her fingers hovering over the screen. I should give it a chance. Nacho's always been a good friend, and I trust him.
I think this could work," Sara said, her voice filled with determination and a hint of uncertainty. She took a deep breath and swiped right, the app indicating an instant match.
A small smile tugged at the corners of her mouth as she showed me the screen, "Look, we matched! This could be the start of something exciting, Charly. I can feel it."
I forced a smile, trying to hide the sudden wave of jealousy and apprehension that washed over me. "That's great, Sara. I'm really happy for you."
Sara looked at me, her green eyes softening as she reached out to cup my cheek.
"You okay, Charly? You seem a bit tense."
I nodded, giving her hand a reassuring squeeze. "I'm fine. Just trying to wrap my head around everything. Seeing Nacho's face...it's just a bit surreal, that's all."
Sara smiled, her thumb brushing gently against my skin. "I get it. This is new territory for both of us. But remember, we're in this together. And I won't do anything without your support and consent."
I took a deep breath, steeling myself with her words.
"I trust you, Sara. I know you won't do anything I'm not comfortable with."
She smiled, her thumb still caressing my cheek. That means a lot to me." She paused, her eyes searching mine. "So, what now? Do I message him? Do I set something up?"
I nodded, trying to keep my voice steady. "Yes, start with a message. Something casual and friendly. See where the conversation goes from there."
Sara's fingers danced over the screen, typing out a message. She showed it to me before hitting send.
The message read: "Hey Nacho! Long time no see. How have you been? It's been a while since we last caught up. How's life treating you?"
I read it over, my heart pounding in my chest. It was innocent enough, but it felt like a huge step forward. Sara hit send, and we both waited, our eyes fixed on the screen.
A few moments later, the little bubble appeared, indicating that Nacho was typing. Sara and I exchanged a nervous glance, our hearts pounding in sync. The message popped up on the screen.
"Hey Sara! It's been ages! You look great in your profile pic.
Sara's eyes widened in surprise, her cheeks flushing a soft pink. "Oh my god, he responded already. That was fast," she murmured, her fingers already typing out a response.
"Hey Nacho! I'm good, thanks. It's been a while. How about you?"
I leaned in to read the message, my heart pounding in my chest. This was really happening. Sara was about to reconnect with an old friend, and who knew where that could lead.
Nacho's response was quick.
"Life's going well, thanks! I've been busy with work and hitting the gym. You know, the usual. How about you? What have you been up to?"
Sara looked at me with a playful smile, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "What should I say? I don't want to give too much away, but I also want to pique his interest."
I smiled back at her, trying to keep my voice steady. "Be honest, but vague. Let him know you're open to exploring new things."
Sara nodded, her fingers dancing over the screen as she typed out her response. "Life's been good.
I've been focusing on my design work, hitting the gym, and exploring some new interests." Sara hit send and looked up at me, a hint of nervousness mixed with excitement in her eyes.
We both watched the screen as the little bubble appeared again, indicating that Nacho was typing. My heart was pounding in my chest as I waited for his response.
"That sounds interesting," Nacho replied. "What kind of new interests are you exploring?"
Sara bit her lower lip, her eyes meeting mine as she tried to gauge my reaction. I gave her a small nod, encouraging her to continue.
This was her journey, and I wanted her to feel at ease, to explore her desires without restrictions. Taking a deep breath, Sara turned her attention back to the phone, her thumbs dancing over the screen as she typed out her response.
"Well, I can't go into too much detail right now, but let's just say I'm exploring my wilder side. You know, stepping out of my comfort zone and trying new things." She showed me the message before hitting send, her eyes searching mine for approval.
I smiled, giving her a nod. "That's perfect, Sara. It's honest but still leaves a lot to the imagination. It'll definitely pique his interest."
We waited, our hearts pounding in unison as we watched for Nacho's response. A few moments later, the little bubble appeared again, and a wave of anticipation surged through us.
Sara's fingers trembled slightly as she tapped the screen to open Nacho's message.
"Sounds intriguing," Nacho wrote. "I'm always up for trying new things myself. Maybe we could catch up sometime and chat about it?"
Sara's eyes widened in excitement, and she turned to me, grinning. "He's in, Charly! He's totally into it."
I smiled back, trying to hide my own mix of excitement and apprehension. Now what?"
She bit her lower lip, her eyes thoughtful as she considered her response.
"I think that sounds like a great idea. We haven't caught up in ages, and it would be great to have you over." She turned to me, her eyes seeking my approval. "What do you think, Charly? Would it be okay if we invited Nacho over for dinner on Friday?" Sara asked, her eyes filled with anticipation and a hint of nervousness.
I took a deep breath, trying to process the weight of her question. This was it—the moment where Sara's desires and our mutual fantasies began to take physical shape. The thought of having Nacho in our home, sharing a meal with us, felt both exhilarating and terrifying.
"Friday it is," I said, my voice steady despite the whirlwind of emotions inside me. "But let's make it clear that there are no expectations. This is just a casual catch-up, right?"
Sara nodded, her eyes softening. "Absolutely, but if it derives into something... more intimate, I need to know you'll be okey with it." Sara replied, her voice filled with care and concern.
I took a deep breath, steeling myself for the reality of the situation. "I will be, Sara. I promise. As long as you're happy and you're getting what you need, I'll be okay with it."
Sara's eyes softened, and she leaned in to press a gentle kiss to my lips. You're the best. I'll make sure to send Nacho a message to set up the details for Friday."
I smiled, giving her hand a reassuring squeeze. "Sounds good.
I'll message him now," Sara said, her fingers dancing over the screen as she typed out her response to Nacho. "Hey Nacho, Friday sounds great! Let's catch up over dinner. My place, around 7 pm? Sound good?"
After hitting send, she passed me the phone so I could read her message before it was delivered. I nodded my approval, and she sent it off.
Nacho's response was almost instantaneous. "That sounds perfect! I'll see you then."
Sara looked at me with a mix of excitement and nervousness in her eyes. "It's set.
Nacho will be over for dinner on Friday," Sara announced, her eyes reflecting a mix of anticipation and anxiety. She handed the phone back to me, her fingers brushing against mine.
I looked at her, my heart pounding in my chest. This was happening. The fantasy that had once seemed so distant was now becoming a reality. I took a deep breath, trying to steady my nerves. "Friday it is. We should start planning now. What do you want to cook? Should we make it fancy?"
Sara bit her lower lip, her eyes scanning the room as if visualizing the dinner. "I think we should keep it simple but elegant.
Maybe a nice salad, some pasta, and a bottle of wine. Nothing too elaborate, but enough to make it feel special," Sara suggested, her eyes bright with anticipation.
I nodded in agreement, trying to focus on the practical details to distract myself from the storm of emotions swirling within me. "That sounds perfect. Easy enough to prepare but still creates a nice atmosphere. What kind of wine should we get?"
Sara's eyes sparkled with excitement as she began to plan the meal. "Ooh, let's go for a nice red. Something smooth and rich, like a Malbec or a Cabernet Sauvignon.
I think that would pair well with the pasta and the salad." Sara suggested, her enthusiasm palpable.
I smiled, enjoying the way her eyes lit up when she talked about food and wine. "Sounds delicious. I'll make sure to pick up a good bottle for Friday. Anything else you want me to get?" I asked, trying to keep my voice light and casual despite the knot of nerves in my stomach.
Sara thought for a moment before responding, "Hmm, maybe some candles to set the mood? And some flowers, to make the place feel nice and inviting." She paused, her eyes scanning the room again. "But nothing too over the top.
We don't want it to look like we're trying too hard," Sara added, her eyes reflecting her thought process. "Oh, and maybe some soft background music. Something mellow and romantic to set the atmosphere."
I nodded, taking mental notes of everything she mentioned. "Got it. Candles, flowers, wine, and some music. I think I can handle that."
Sara smiled at me, her eyes warm with gratitude. I really appreciate it. It's going to be a special night, and I want everything to be perfect."
I reached out, tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear.
"I know it will be. You have a way of making even the simplest moments feel extraordinary."
Sara leaned into my touch, her eyes softening. She took a deep breath, her voice steady with determination. "Now, let's make a list of everything we need to get. I want to make sure we have everything prepared and ready to go by Friday."
