Chapter 5: Chapter 5

The harsh morning light streamed through the window, casting a stark glow over Kara Danvers' apartment. She stirred, her limbs leaden with an unfamiliar lethargy, her head pounding as if she'd been on a wild bender. She blinked, her vision slowly coming into focus, and took in her surroundings. The poster of Krypton hanging above her bed, the ruffled curtains billowing softly in the breeze from the open window, the pile of laundry in the corner—it all seemed strangely surreal, as if she were observing a dream from a distance.

She swung her legs out of bed, her feet sinking into the plush carpet, and that's when she noticed it—the outfit laid out neatly on the chair by her door. Her Supergirl outfit, complete with the iconic red and blue, the golden 'S' emblazoned on the chest. She blinked, a sense of disorientation washing over her. She never left her suit out in the open like that.

She stood up, her body protesting the sudden movement with a wave of dizziness. She shook her head, trying to clear the fog from her mind. She needed to get dressed, to get back out there, to continue her mission. That was who she was, Supergirl, protector of Metropolis. She stepped into her suit, the familiar fabric sliding over her skin, and as she zipped it up, she felt a small measure of clarity returning.

But as she moved to fasten the cape around her neck, something felt off. The fabric was different, the cut wasn't quite right. She frowned, her eyes scanning the suit, her gaze landing on the hem, which seemed to be...shorter. Much shorter.

She looked down at her legs, her eyes widening in disbelief. The suit ended mid-thigh, the pleated skirt revealing more skin than she was comfortable with. She shook her head, running a hand through her hair, trying to make sense of it. What was going on?

Kara's heart raced as she looked at her reflection in the mirror, taking in the unfamiliar outfit. It wasn't her usual Supergirl attire—the pleated miniskirt was way shorter, and the boots were higher, the heels accentuating her calves. The 'S' shield on her chest was more exaggerated, and the red and blue seemed to shimmer differently under the light.

She felt a pang of unease, her gut telling her something was seriously wrong. But what? She couldn't remember anything from last night. It was like a blank void, and it was making her feel...vulnerable.

She shook her head, determined to push through the discomfort. This was her suit, her Supergirl attire. She believed it, despite the unsettling differences she saw in the mirror. She slipped on her boots, her reflection showing the sleek, high heels that accentuated her legs. The red and blue fabric shimmered, the 'S' shield on her chest seemed to glow with an intensity she couldn't recall. But this was her suit, she told herself, the one she'd worn for years, the one that defined her as Supergirl. She just needed to get back into the rhythm, the familiarity.

She looked at her reflection once more, took a deep breath, and nodded. This was her suit. It had always been like this. She turned away from the mirror, her heels clicking against the hardwood floor as she walked towards the door.

This was her suit, she told herself, the one she'd worn for years, the one that defined her as Supergirl.

As she stepped out of her apartment, the cool Metropolis air greeting her, she felt a strange sense of liberation. The shortened skirt swayed gently with her movements, the high boots accentuating her stride. She found the femininity charming, as she always had. It was empowering, she decided, to feel this way. It was her strength, her power, and she owned it.

Her cape billowed behind her as she walked down the street, the sun casting a golden glow over the cityscape. People on the street turned to look at her, their eyes wide with admiration or lust. She was used to the attention, but today it felt different. It felt...intoxicating.

Today, it felt like a drug, a potent mix of adrenaline and validation that surged through her veins. She felt empowered by the attention, her steps growing more confident with each admiring glance. This was her true power, not just her strength and speed, but her allure, her ability to command a room without ever saying a word.

She was Supergirl, and she was...desirable. The realization sent a shiver down her spine, a thrill that was both exhilarating and unsettling.
