Chapter 1: Introduction

The bar was full of bodies, sinewy, lean, muscled, and soft. The local college crowd, hollered over football. But in this mad house, you could find diamonds in the rough, and Livvy Dunne was one of those rare gems, as she sat in the crowd.

Her blue eyes locked on a guy at the corner of the bar - the low lights playing up his messy light brown hair and chiseled jawline. Buck Rogers. MMA fighter, hungry for his next title, and a look that merely grazed her made Livvy's breath hitch.

Buck's eyes scanned the place, and the women within it, before finally settling on Livvy's form.

The way the soft light played over her gym-toned body made it hard for him to look away. Livvy's heart raced as Buck held her gaze, telegraphing his unspoken intent in crystal clarity. Feminine power surged through her - she bit her lower lip, leaned back in the barstool, and motioned for him to come with a flick of her wrist.

"Whatcha drinkin'?" Buck asked as he sat down beside her. His leg brushed against hers, sending sparks flying. Livvy couldn't help but notice the sheer size of him.

The broadness of his shoulders, the rolled-up sleeves revealing his strong, tanned forearms. She felt her stomach flutter.

"Tequila," she replied with a smirk. Her tone dripped with sensuality. And fuck, that was part of her charm. She was raw, and unapologetic. Buck couldn't help but be drawn to her confidence. He flagged the bartender for two shots, his hungry gaze never leaving her.

Suddenly, the shots were in front of them. The amber liquor heating just by their stare.

They knocked back their shots, and Livvy let out a small gasp as the alcohol burned her throat. She didn't break eye contact as she licked the remnants of tequila from her lips.
