Chapter 12: Chapter 11: The Interrogation

The sharp echo of Cameron’s heels on the polished study floor was a brutal counterpoint to the room’s profound silence. Miss Ashley did not look up from the ledger she was annotating. She simply finished a line with a precise stroke, placed her fountain pen in its rest, and slowly lifted her gaze.

It was like watching a panther register the presence of a sparrow having a fit.

“Cameron Ross,” Miss Ashley said, the name a statement, devoid of surprise. “This is a surprise…”

“Where is he?” Cameron demanded, striding forward until she stood directly across the massive mahogany desk. She slammed her palms down on the polished surface. The impact made the crystal inkwell tremble. “Where the fuck is Alistair?”

Joel hovered near the door, feeling like a spectator at a seismic event. The air grew thick, charged with a history he couldn’t fathom.

Miss Ashley leaned back in her chair, steepling her fingers. Her cool grey eyes assessed the furious woman before her. “Alistair is not here, Ms. Ross. He has not been in residence for some time. This facility operates independently.”

“Bullshit!” Cameron spat. Her elegant composure had fully shattered, revealing the raw, jagged edges beneath. “This is his place. You’re his… his procurer. His fixer. He ducks out on his life, on his responsibilities, and hides in this… this resort for wayward boys, and you run it for him.” Her seaglass eyes flicked to Joel, a scathing glance. “Is that what you are? Hmm? A wayward boy?”

Joel felt a flush creep up his neck, but he held his ground, saying nothing. The training held. Observe. Listen.

“The services offered at Blackthorne are confidential and transformative,” Miss Ashley replied, her voice a study in placid steel. “They are not a hiding place. They are a forge.”

“A forge for what? Better layabouts?” Cameron’s laugh was bitter. “I don’t care what you do here. I care that he’s using it to avoid me. To avoid everything.”

“Perhaps what he is avoiding is precisely the spectacle you are currently providing,” Miss Ashley suggested, her tone lethally soft.

Cameron flinched as if struck. For a second, pure hurt flashed across her face before being consumed by fresh fury.

“You bitch. You think you’re so above it all, presiding over your little sensual empire. It’s pathetic. It’s a paid vacation from reality.”

Miss Ashley’s expression remained unreadable, but a new, calculating light entered her eyes. She slowly shifted her gaze from Cameron to Joel, who stood rigid by the door.

“A paid vacation from reality,” Miss Ashley repeated musingly. “Interesting. And a very interesting perspective from someone who evidently believes screaming and making demands constitutes engagement with it.” She paused, letting the insult hang. “You dismiss what we do because you do not understand it. You reduce it to base transaction because that is the limit of your current imagination.”

She stood, moving with fluid, deliberate grace around the desk. She stopped a few feet from Cameron, the two women a study in contrasts: one a storm of wrinkled silk and emotional shrapnel, the other a monolith of controlled, tailored calm.

“You speak of reality, Ms. Ross. But reality is multi-faceted. There is the reality of contracts and obligations, which you seem obsessed with. And there is the reality of the human animal, its drives, its vulnerabilities, its potential for both profound weakness and transcendent strength. We deal with the latter. We strip away the noise to find the signal.”

Cameron shook her head, dismissive, but she was listening now, caught in the gravity of Miss Ashley’s presence. “Spare me the philosophical bullshit. It’s just sex. It’s just fucking.”

“Is it though?” Miss Ashley’s lips curved in the faintest, most dangerous smile. She turned her head fully toward Joel. “Mr. Hamilton. You have been with us for some time now, weeks actually. You have partaken of our… curriculum. This woman believes what happens here is a simple, pathetic transaction. A diversion.”

Joel’s mouth went dry. He felt the focus of the room shift to him, a heavy, hot spotlight.

“Perhaps,” Miss Ashley purred, her voice dropping to an intimate, challenging register, “you should demonstrate what we really teach here. Show her the difference between a frantic, selfish grab at pleasure and a cultivated, shared mastery of it.”

Cameron’s eyes widened. “What the hell are you talking about?”

Ignoring her, Miss Ashley kept her eyes locked on Joel.

“You are no longer a novice, Joel. You have learned control. You have learned to see, and to be seen. Now, show me you can perform. That you can translate the lesson into a language even a skeptic can… feel.”

She didn’t wait for his answer. Her hands went to the fastened buttons of her severe maroon blouse. With a slow, deliberate pop, she undid the first one. Then the second. The parted fabric revealed a hint of expensive black lace. “Come here,” she commanded, her voice not loud, but impossible to disobey.

A wild current of adrenaline shot through Joel. This wasn’t like Lola’s warm challenge or Brooke’s serene guidance. This was a test of an entirely different order—public, ruthless, and charged with a power play he only dimly understood. He was a pawn being moved to check a queen. Yet, within that realization, a strange calm settled over him. He had tools now. He had a skeleton Lola said was new.

He walked forward, his steps steady on the thick rug. Cameron stared, stunned into momentary silence, her anger sublimating into shocked confusion.

Miss Ashley finished unbuttoning her blouse and shrugged it off. She wore a black lace bra that supported full breasts. Her skin was flawless, her posture regal. “The desk,” she said, nodding toward the vast, empty expanse of mahogany.

Joel understood. He moved behind the desk, pulling out the heavy leather chair. Miss Ashley approached, her eyes holding his. There was no warmth in them, only a fierce, intellectual challenge. This was clinical. This was exhibition like. This was war by other means.

She turned her back to him, leaning forward until her palms were flat on the cool wood of the desk. She looked over her shoulder, past Joel, directly at Cameron. “Watch,” she told Cameron, the word a knife. “Watch what happens when a man is taught to use more than just his dick.”

Joel’s hands went to the fastener of her tailored pants. He found the hook, the zipper, and slid them down over her hips. She stepped out of them, kicking them aside. She was naked now except for the bra and a pair of matching black lace panties. He hooked his thumbs in the waistband of the panties and drew them down. She lifted one foot, then the other.

Her ass was full and perfectly shaped. He ran a hand over one cool curve, and he felt the faintest tremor run through her—not of fear, but of intense, focused anticipation.

Cameron made a small, choked sound. She hadn’t moved. She was in shock of what was happening.

Joel dropped to his knees behind Miss Ashley. The perspective was shockingly intimate, vulnerable, and dominant all at once. He put his hands on her hips to steady her, then leaned in. He didn’t start with her treasure. He started with the back of her thighs, pressing soft, open-mouthed kisses along the sensitive skin there. He heard her breath hitch, just once. He worked his way inward, his tongue tracing paths, his teeth grazing gently. He could smell her, a clean, musky scent underlaid with her subtle perfume.

He nuzzled the firm swell of her ass, kissing the crease where it met her thigh. Then, finally, he let his hands part her. She was already wet, her folds glistening in the room’s low light. He leaned in and licked a long, slow stripe from her opening to the tight, hidden knot of her asshole.

Miss Ashley let out a sharp, controlled exhale. Her knuckles were white where she gripped the desk’s edge.

Joel ate her with a methodical precision that had nothing to do with passion and everything to do with demonstrated skill. He used the flat of his tongue, the tip, varying pressure and rhythm. He slid two fingers inside her, curling them forward, finding that tender, spongy place. He fucked her slowly with his fingers while his tongue circled and pressed against her clit.

Her composure began to crack little by little. Low, gritted moans escaped her throat. Her hips pushed back against his face, seeking more pressure, more friction. He gave it to her. He sucked her clit into his mouth, applying steady, pulsing pressure.

“That’s it,” she gasped, her head hanging down, her voice stripped of its icy control for the first time. “Just like that. Don’t stop.”

From the corner of his eye, Joel saw Cameron. She was frozen, one hand pressed to her mouth. Her eyes were wide, horrified, fascinated. She was breathing fast.

Miss Ashley’s orgasm built quietly, then erupted with seismic force. Her whole body locked, a strangled cry tearing from her throat as she shuddered against the desk, her inner walls clamping rhythmically around Joel’s fingers. He gentled his mouth, working her through the intense waves until her tremors subsided into aftershocks.

He stood, his own erection straining against his jeans. Miss Ashley, breathing heavily, pushed herself upright. Her face was flushed, her hair slightly disheveled. She turned, her eyes blazing with a triumphant, dark fire. She looked past Joel to Cameron.

“That,” Miss Ashley said, her voice ragged but clear, “…was not a simple transaction. That was a lesson administered. A point made.” She then looked at Joel. “Now. Fuck me. Properly. Let her see the difference.”

Her command brooked no hesitation. Joel unfastened his jeans, freeing his cock. Miss Ashley turned back to the desk, bending over it once more, presenting herself to him on a silver platter. She was slick, open, ready.

He positioned himself and pushed into her in one smooth, deep stroke. She was incredibly tight, hot, her body still clutching from her climax. He set a relentless, pounding pace from the start. This was not about tenderness. This was about possession, about proving a point, about the raw, unfiltered power of a man who knew what he was doing.

The sound was obscene: the wet slap of skin on skin, the creak of the heavy desk under their weight, their combined, ragged breathing. Miss Ashley met every thrust, pushing back against him, her moans loud and uninhibited now.

“Yes! Just like that! Fuck me! Fuck your point into me, baby!” She screamed, the words vicious and exhilarating. Joel had never heard her this vulgar, even when having sex.

Joel’s world narrowed to the sensation of her body, the sight of her back arching, the smell of sex and sweat, and the knowledge of Cameron’s stunned eyes on them. He drove into her, over and over, his balls slapping against her skin. He felt his own climax coiling, a tight, burning spring in his gut.

“Where do you want it?” he grunted, the words torn from him.

“Inside!” she demanded. “Mark your work. Let her see that, too.”

With a final, brutal series of thrusts, Joel came. He buried himself to the hilt, his body convulsing as he emptied himself into her with a guttural shout. He pulsed inside her, each jet a claim, a punctuation mark on the demonstration.

He stayed there, slumped over her, spent. Miss Ashley lay pressed against the desk, equally exhausted. The room was silent save for their panting breaths.

Slowly, Joel pulled out. He turned, zipping his jeans with trembling hands.

Cameron was still standing there. The fury was gone. In its place was a hollowed-out, shell-shocked expression. She looked at Miss Ashley, who was now straightening up with a grimace, pulling her underwear and pants back on with shaky but deliberate hands. Then Cameron looked at Joel. Her gaze was incomprehensible—a mix of revulsion, awe, and a dawning, terrible understanding.

Miss Ashley buttoned her blouse, her composure settling back over her like a cloak. She looked at Cameron, her face once again an impassive mask.

“That,” Miss Ashley said, her voice cool and even once more, “… is only a fraction… a part…of what we do here. It is not an escape from reality, Ms. Ross. It is a confrontation with a deeper one. Now. You will leave. You will not return. If Alistair wishes to find you, he will. This is not the place to look for him.”

Cameron didn’t argue. She seemed shrunken. She merely nodded, a jerky, mechanical motion. She picked up her leather bag from where she’d dropped it, her movements slow, as if underwater. Without another word, without looking at Joel again, she turned and walked out of the study. The door clicked shut behind her with a softer, final sound.

The silence that followed was deafening. Joel felt adrenaline crash through him, leaving him shaky and empty.

Miss Ashley walked to a sideboard and poured two glasses of water from a crystal carafe. She handed one to Joel. Her hand was steady.

“You performed adequately,” she said, taking a sip. “You understood the assignment.”

“What was the assignment?” Joel asked, his voice rough. “To humiliate her?”

“To shatter her worldview,” Miss Ashley corrected. “To replace her simplistic narrative with one of undeniable, visceral complexity. Humiliation was merely a byproduct. She came seeking a villain in a brothel. She left having witnessed a symposium on power. She will not forget it.” She finished her water. “You may go. Find Sky. Let her… lighten the mood. The work today was dark. Balance is required.”

Joel set his untouched glass on the desk. He felt used, powerful, confused, and awakened all at once. He had been a tool in a high-stakes game he still didn’t fully comprehend. But as he left the study, the scent of sex and power clinging to him, one thought crystallized with cold clarity.

He was no longer just a participant in his own transformation. He had just become an instrument in Blackthorne’s larger, darker machinery. And a part of him, the new part forged in fire and flesh, wondered what it would be used for next.

A half hour later…

“Shut up. Dude!” Sky reacted, holding her gaming controller after a race on Mario Kart.

“Yeah.” Joel nodded.

“So, you fucked Miss Ashley in front of Cameron?”

“Yeah.”

“Was she hot though? I heard stories.” Sky asked. Joel gave her a look.

The look was a flat, exhausted wall. It contained the phantom sensation of mahogany against his palms, the chemical taste of power and perfume, and the hollow echo of a door clicking shut on a shattered woman. Sky’s playful curiosity bounced off it and died.

“Right. Sorry. Not my business,” she said, the controller going limp in her hands. The colorful chaos on the screen blurred into meaningless movement.

“It’s all good.” Joel said, the words automatic. His body was still here, slouched on the plush grey sofa in the media room, but a vital part of him was still back in that leather-scented study. He felt dissected.

Sky powered down the console. The room plunged into a silence thick with unsaid things. She studied him, her usual irreverence replaced by a sharper, more clinical observation.

“You look like you just fought a war.”

“That’s the thing. I think I was the weapon,” Joel muttered, staring at his hands. They were clean. They didn’t feel clean.

“Weapons need maintenance.” She stood up in one fluid motion and offered a hand. “Come on. Maintenance bay is this way.”

He let her pull him to his feet. She didn’t lead him to the bedrooms, or the spa. She led him outside, into the walled garden at the heart of the Retreat. The night air was cool and smelled of damp earth and night-blooming jasmine. It scoured the inside of his nostrils, clearing the last vestiges of Miss Ashley’s office from his lungs.

“Sit down.” Sky said, pointing to a stone bench nestled between flowering shrubs. He obeyed. She sat beside him, not touching, just a warm presence in the dark.

“Tell me what you’re feeling,” Sky said. It wasn’t a therapist’s question. It was a mechanic’s.

“Used,” Joel said immediately. The word was sharp and true. “And… powerful. And guilty for feeling powerful. It’s a mess.” He dragged his hands over his face. “She didn’t want ME. She wanted a demonstration. A fucking exhibit. And Cameron…”

“Was the audience that needed convincing,” Sky finished. She nodded, as if confirming a diagnosis. “Welcome to the advanced curriculum, Joel. The first few weeks? That was anatomy. Learning the machine. What you just did? That’s application. Using the machine for a purpose beyond its own pleasure.”

“It felt…” he searched for the word, “…transactional.”

“Everything here is a transaction,” Sky said bluntly. “The difference is in the currency. Lola trades in confidence. Brooke trades in peace. Miss Ashley? She trades in opportunity. She paid you in a kind of brutal respect you won’t get anywhere else. She trusted you with her body to make a point. That’s high-stakes.”

Joel absorbed that. The jasmine scent was cloying. “What’s your currency, Sky?”

In the gloom, he saw her teeth flash in a smile.

“Distraction. The art of being exactly where your feet are. You’re not in that office right now. You’re in a garden with me. So be here.” She shifted on the bench, turning to face him. Her knee brushed his. “The tension in your shoulders is pathetic. It’s a waste of good muscle.”

Her hand reached out and settled on the tight cord of his trapezius. Her fingers dug in with precise, unyielding pressure. He hissed, the pain a bright, clarifying shock.

“See? All that drama, locked up right here.” She worked the knot, her touch remorseless and expert. The physical pain began to bleed the psychic tension away, transmuting it into something simple and manageable. He groaned, slumping forward.

“Good. Let it go. It’s just chemicals in your brain. Adrenaline. Cortisol. We can fix that.” Her voice was a low murmur by his ear. Her other hand came up, fingers threading into the hair at the nape of his neck, gripping firmly. The combination of pain and control was jarringly erotic. It grounded him in his animal self, shoving the spiraling thoughts aside.

She leaned in, her breath warm against his cheek.

“You need to stop thinking with the part of your head that writes essays. Start thinking with the part that knows how to fuck. That part knows exactly what to do.”

Her mouth found his. The kiss wasn't gentle or exploratory. It was a takeover. Her tongue pushed past his lips, demanding a response. He gave it, the raw simplicity of the act a relief. She tasted like mint and the faint, metallic hint of the energy drink she’d been sipping earlier. Her hands left his neck and shoulders, dropping to the fly of his jeans.

She broke the kiss only to utter a single, filthy command against his lips.

“Stand up.”

He did. The garden around them felt suddenly vast and dangerously exposed, though the high walls guaranteed privacy. The rustle of leaves was the only witness. Sky knelt on the damp flagstone path before him. Her fingers made quick work of his button and zipper. She tugged his jeans and briefs down to his thighs in one rough pull. His cock, half-hard from the confused turmoil, sprang free into the cool air.

She didn’t tease. She didn’t admire. She took him into her mouth with a ruthless, encompassing heat. Her head bobbed, a fast, insistent rhythm that brooked no passivity. She used her tongue in firm, flat strokes along the underside of his shaft, her lips creating a tight, wet seal. The sensation was so direct, so aggressively pleasurable, that it vaporized the last clinging tendrils of his anxiety.

“Fuck, Sky,” he choked out, his hands finding her head. Her hair was short, giving him no purchase, so his fingers curled against her scalp. She hummed in approval, the vibration traveling straight through his cock to his spine.

She deep-throated him, taking him all the way to the back of her throat until his tip nudged the soft resistance. She held it there, her eyes watering, looking up at him in the dim light. Then she pulled back, gasping for a second, a string of saliva connecting her lips to his glistening head.

“That’s it,” she rasped. “Just this. No politics. No point-making. Just a cock and a mouth.” She dove back down, her pace turning frantic. She slurped and sucked, the obscene, wet sounds loud in the quiet garden. Her free hand cupped his balls, rolling them gently, then tugging with just enough pressure to make his knees weak.

Joel surrendered to it. This was Sky’s currency: a brutal, immersive present. His hips began to piston forward, fucking her face in a rhythm she set and encouraged. The coil in his gut wound tight, a pure physical reaction divorced from all context.

“I’m gonna come,” he warned, his voice strangled.

She redoubled her efforts, her hand jacking the base of his shaft in time with her sucking. She didn’t stop. She didn’t even slow.

The orgasm tore through him, a lightning strike of pure sensation. He came hard down her throat, pulsing again and again with guttural groans he couldn’t suppress. She swallowed every drop, milking him with practiced efficiency until he was spent and soft. She gave him one final, lingering suck before releasing him with a soft pop.

She stayed on her knees for a moment, catching her breath, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. Then she looked up, her grin wicked and triumphant.

“See? Chemicals reset. Brain empty. Mission accomplished.”

He pulled his clothes back up, his body buzzing with a clean, hollow fatigue. The guilt, the confusion, the residue of the power play—they weren’t gone, but they were quieted, pushed to the periphery. She had, quite literally, sucked the tension out of him.

She stood, brushing bits of gravel from her knees. “Feel better?”

“Different,” he admitted.

“Good. Different is the baseline here.” She looped her arm through his, steering him back toward the warm light of the Retreat. “Now you’re ready for the next part.”

“What’s the next part?” Joel asked, his mind still pleasantly fogged.

“Lola’s looking for you,” Sky said, her tone shifting, becoming less playful. “She’s in the workshop. Has been for an hour. She said to send you in when you were… recalibrated.”

The workshop. That’s what they called the small, soundproofed room Lola used for her deeper sessions—the ones that involved less body and more mind. A flicker of the old anxiety returned, but it was muted, manageable. He was recalibrated.

“Go on,” Sky said, giving him a gentle shove toward the corridor that led to the west wing. “She doesn’t like waiting when she’s in that mode.”

Joel found the door to the workshop ajar. Soft, amber light spilled into the hall. He pushed it open.

The room was spare, unlike any other in the Retreat. Plain wood floors, white walls, a single, comfortable armchair, and a low chaise longue. Lola sat in the armchair, a notebook in her lap. She wasn’t dressed for seduction. She wore dark, soft trousers and a simple cream-colored sweater. Her hair was down, a cascade of curls around her shoulders. She looked like a professor after office hours.

She glanced up as he entered. Her expression was warm, but her eyes were sharp, analytical. She closed the notebook.

“Close the door, Joel,” she said. Her voice was quiet, but it filled the small space. “And sit there.” She gestured to the chaise.

He did as he was told, the quiet click of the latch sounding unnaturally loud. He sat on the edge of the chaise, facing her.

For a long moment, she just looked at him. It was a probing, patient gaze that seemed to peel back the layers Sky had just smoothed over.

“Miss Ashley debriefed me,” Lola began finally. “She was… impressed with your performance. Your composure. Your execution.”

Joel nodded, unsure what to say. A ‘thank you’ felt grotesque.

“But that’s not what interests me right now,” she continued, leaning forward slightly. Her eyes held his. “What interests me is the weapon. After it’s been fired. After it’s done its job. How does it feel?”

The question was a key, turning in a lock he didn’t know he had. The simple, direct empathy of it undid him more than any physical act could. He felt his throat tighten.

“Empty, really…” He whispered. Then, the truth spilling out in a rush. “And full of something heavy. I didn’t… I didn’t know I could be used like that. I didn’t know I would be.”

Lola nodded slowly. “You consented to the use. You understood the objective. That is the foundation of what we do. But understanding and feeling are different countries. You took a trip to a harsh one today.”

“Why?” The question burst from him. “Why did she need to do that? To use me like that on Cameron?”

Lola considered this, choosing her words with care.

“Cameron represents a threat. Not to you, or to me. To the ecosystem of this place. She sees a simple bordello. A place of weakness. Miss Ashley needed to demonstrate, in the most undeniable terms, that this is a place of complex strength. That the men here are not weak. That the women hold power that is not theatrical, but fundamental. You were the perfect instrument for that message. Untainted. Well-trained. And possessing a natural… gravity that sells the performance.”

She paused, letting him absorb that. “It was a strategic deployment. And you were promoted, in that moment, from recruit to operative. It’s a violent promotion. It carries weight.”

“I don’t know if I want that weight,” Joel said, the confession terrifying in its honesty.

“That…” Lola said, a small, knowing smile touching her lips, “…is precisely why you are ready for it. The ones who crave that weight are the ones who shouldn’t bear it.” She stood up and crossed the small space. She didn’t sit beside him. She knelt on the floor in front of him, putting her eyes level with his. It was a posture of stunning humility and power.

“Now, we integrate the experience,” she said, her voice dropping to a therapeutic murmur. “We take that heavy thing inside you, and we examine it. We give it a name. We find where it belongs in your new skeleton. Otherwise, it will poison you.”

She reached out and took both of his hands in hers. Her touch was warm, steadying. “Close your eyes, Joel. And tell me. When you were inside her, when you were her chosen instrument… what was the loudest thought in your head? The one underneath all the others.”

Joel closed his eyes. The sensory memory flooded back: the smell of leather and sex, the chill of the desk, the sight of Cameron’s frozen face. He sifted through the noise.

“Mine,” he breathed, the word shocking him as it left his lips. “The thought was… ‘this is mine.’ Her. The moment. The power she was letting me wield. It felt… like it belonged to me.”

Lola’s hands squeezed his. “Good. That’s excellent. That’s the core. Not ‘I am being used,’ but ‘I am using.’ That’s the shift. That’s the new bone forming. Now,” she said, her voice changing, becoming more directive, “We make that feeling physical again. We re-encode it without the conflict. We separate the power from the punishment.”

She released his hands. “Stand up. Take off your clothes.”

He opened his eyes. Her gaze was unwavering. This was the curriculum. He stood, his fingers fumbling slightly as he undressed until he stood naked before her. The room was cool.

“Lie back on the chaise. On your back.”

He complied, the leather cool against his skin. He felt vulnerable, but not in the way he had with Miss Ashley. This was a directed, intentional vulnerability.

Lola didn’t undress. She stood beside the chaise, looking down at him. Her presence was a calm, containing force. “You felt ownership. That is a potent sexual energy. But it was tied to a hostile audience, to a command performance. We will now claim that energy for your own pleasure. Your own audience of one.”

She began to speak, her voice a low, hypnotic rhythm. She described his own body back to him, not as an object, but as a instrument of agency. “Feel the strength in your thighs. They drove you into her. They are yours to command. Feel the weight of your cock against your belly. It is yours to use. Feel the power in your hands. They held her, and they directed her.”

As she spoke, her hands followed her words. Her touch was light, tracing the lines of his muscles, not to arouse, but to annotate. She mapped his body as a territory of potential control. Her fingers skimmed his pectorals, the ridge of his hips, the tense cords of his forearms.

A slow, deep arousal began to build in him, very distinct from the frantic need Sky had elicited. This was a thickening, a gathering. A reclaiming.

“Now,” Lola whispered, her hand finally closing around his hardening length. Her grip was firm, possessive. “This is yours. You decide. You are not a weapon here. You are the wielder. What do you want?”

He looked up into her eyes, dark and knowing. The permission was absolute, and it was a different kind of power.

“I want to come,” he said, his voice rough. “I want to watch you make me come.”

A slow smile spread across Lola’s face. It was a smile of profound approval.

“Good. A clear, honest want.” She began to stroke him, her hand moving with a perfect, practiced friction. “Then watch.”

He watched. He watched her elegant, confident hand working his shaft. He watched the focused expression on her beautiful face. He watched his own body responding, the flush spreading across his chest, the way his stomach muscles clenched. The ownership was total, and it was shared. She was giving him the spectacle of his own pleasure, a mirror held up to his agency.

She saw him approaching the edge. Her rhythm never faltered. “It’s yours,” she whispered, her voice a seductive anchor. “Take it.”

With a sharp cry that was pure release, Joel came. His juices shot up in thick ropes onto his stomach and chest, a stark, physical claim. He shuddered through it, his eyes locked on hers.

She worked him through the last pulses, then gently released him. She fetched a soft cloth from a small side table and cleaned him with tender, efficient strokes. The act was intimate, final.

“Feel the difference?” she asked, discarding the cloth. He did. The heavy thing was still there, but it had been moved. Integrated. It was no longer a toxic shard; it was a new component, a density in his center. The emptiness was gone, replaced by a fatigued fullness.

“Yes,” he said.

She helped him sit up. “The weight is yours now. You carry it. You decide when to draw that particular sword. That is the lesson of today.” She placed a soft kiss on his forehead. “Go to bed, Joel. Sleep. The next lesson begins tomorrow.”

As he walked back to his room, his body humming with a deep, settled exhaustion, he understood. Blackthorne wasn’t just teaching him how to fuck. It was teaching him how to wield the consequences afterwards. He fell into a dreamless sleep, the scent of jasmine and sex and clean, quiet power the last things on his mind.
