Catriona tells Aidan that her sister Keziah is struggling to finish her university art project, so Aidan offers to help. When he arrives at her apartment Keziah explains that her project is called 'Submission', and they take photos of Aidan in various restraints. When he is finally fully restrained on the bed, all fours limbs unable to move an inch, Keziah explains that she is most interested in sexual submission and is going to photograph him submitting completely to her sexual desires. She removes his boxers and begins her exploration with a photo of his cock hardening in her mouth

Chapter 1: The Art Project

The buzzer echoed through the intercom, a harsh, electric sound that felt out of place in the damp evening air. Aidan shifted his weight, adjusting the strap of his laptop bag on his shoulder. He’d gotten Keziah’s text an hour ago—Studio emergency? Need a volunteer with good proportions. You free?—and like always, he’d said yes. She was Catriona’s little sister, brilliant and intense, and he’d helped her move canvases or rig lights a dozen times before.

The door release clunked, and he took the stairs two at a time, his sneakers scuffing on the worn concrete.

Her door was ajar, a slice of warm, dusty light spilling into the dim hallway. He pushed it open. “Kez? It’s me.”

The space always hit him the same way. It wasn’t just a room; it was a lung, breathing in the ghosts of old projects. The high ceilings vanished into shadow, and the walls were draped in unbleached muslin, pale and skin-like, pinned here and there with charcoal sketches of limbs and torsos that seemed to twist in the half-light. The air was thick, a permanent cocktail of turpentine, dry plaster, and something else, something organic and slightly sweet, like wilting lilies or old books.

“Back here.” Her voice came from beyond a freestanding fabric divider.

He rounded it and stopped. The usual organized chaos was focused tonight, concentrated into a single, stark vignette. A rickety iron bed frame, stripped of any pretense of domesticity, stood under the glare of a single, naked bulb hanging from a long wire. The mattress was covered in a rumpled white sheet, its folds holding deep shadows. A heavy, professional-looking camera on a tripod stood sentinel beside it, its lens a dark, unblinking eye. A small table held a spool of dark red silk rope, a pair of shears, and a digital recorder.

Keziah emerged from the shadows near a draped wall, wiping her hands on a rag. She wore paint-stained jeans and a tight black tank top, her dark hair piled in a messy knot. Her green eyes caught the light, bright and appraising.

“You’re a lifesaver,” she said, a quick smile touching her lips. “Really. I’ve been trying to sketch this concept all week, but the models I’ve used… the line was wrong. The feeling wasn’t there.”

“Sketch?” Aidan set his bag down by the door. “I thought you needed help moving something. Or I figured you’d have me holding a spotlight for, like, eight hours.”

“Better than that.” She tossed the rag aside and walked toward the bed, her movements fluid. “It’s a new series. I’m calling it ‘Submission.’ It’s about trust. And vulnerability. The moment where volition is surrendered, willingly, to another’s vision.”

He nodded slowly, following her. He’d heard her talk about concepts like this before, though usually over coffee, not in this charged, cavernous space. “Okay. So what do you need me to do? Pose?”

“Exactly.” She patted the mattress. “Lie down. On your back. Arms at your sides.”

It felt oddly clinical. He toe-ed off his shoes, a self-conscious laugh escaping him. “You sure you don’t want someone… leaner? More artist’s-model-y?”

“I want you, Aidan.” Her tone was matter-of-fact, leaving no room for argument. “Your proportions are perfect. There’s a… a solidity to you. A kindness in the lines. It’s what the piece needs.”

Flattered, and trusting her completely, he lay back on the cool sheet. The springs of the old bed groaned under his weight. The bulb overhead was blinding. He squinted up at it, then at Keziah as she moved to the table and picked up the spool of rope.

“So, what’s the pose?” he asked, his voice echoing slightly in the space.

“Just be still.” She unspooled a length of the dark red silk. It whispered against itself. She took his left wrist, her fingers cool and sure. “This might feel a bit strange at first.”

He expected her to pose his arm, to arrange it. He did not expect her to loop the silk around his wrist, pull it firmly to the iron bedpost, and begin tying a knot. The touch was deliberate, not rough, but far from casual.

“Whoa, okay,” he said, a flicker of surprise in his gut. He lifted his head to watch her work. “This is part of it?”

“It’s the foundation of it.” She didn’t look up, her focus entirely on the knot. Her brow was furrowed in concentration. The silk was smooth but strong, tightening with a soft, final pressure. She moved to his other wrist, repeating the process with efficient grace. A strange duality settled over him—the slight strain in his shoulders felt vulnerable, yet he was here by choice, helping a friend. It was for art.

“Comfortable?” she asked, her eyes flicking up to meet his.

“I mean, it’s not a spa day,” he joked, the sound a little thin in the quiet room. “But yeah, I’m okay. What’s next?”

She didn’t answer with words. She picked up more rope and moved to his ankles. The sensation was more intense here, more exposing. The silk cinched around one ankle, then the other, securing him to the lower posts. He was spread-eagled now, fully bound to the four corners of the bed. His heart began a low, steady thump against his ribs. This was further than he’d imagined, but he trusted Keziah. This was her process.

“The piece explores sexual surrender,” she said calmly, as if discussing brush strokes. She straightened and looked down at him, her gaze traveling the length of his body, now trussed and immobile. “The aesthetic of yielded control. The beauty in that specific… tension.”

Sexual surrender. The words hung in the air, mixing with the smell of turpentine. Aidan felt a flush spread up his neck. This wasn’t about holding a light. He’d walked into the heart of the project itself. Before he could formulate a question, she sat on the edge of the mattress near his hip, her weight dipping the frame.

“You’re still with me?” she asked, her voice lower now, almost intimate.

He swallowed.“Yeah. I’m with you.”

“Good.” Her hand came to rest on his abdomen, just above the waistband of his jeans. The touch was electric, a clear line drawn. “Because the next part requires authentic reaction. Not performance.”

Her fingers made quick work of his button, the rasp of the zipper deafening in the silence. Cool air touched his skin. She hooked her fingers into the waistband of his boxers and pulled them down in one slow, continuous motion.

He inhaled sharply, the sound ragged. The exposure was total, physical and psychological. He was hard, had been since she started with the ropes, a purely autonomic response to the bizarre tension of the situation. And he was, as she’d undoubtedly known or hoped, conspicuously large, thick and long against his stomach.

Keziah let out a soft, appreciative breath. Not a gasp, but the sound an artist makes finding the exact color they needed. “Beautiful,” she murmured, almost to herself. Her green eyes were wide, taking in the sight with a fierce, analytical hunger. “The line is incredible.”

Then she bent her head.

Her mouth was hot, wet, and impossibly skillful. There was no hesitant exploration, no teasing buildup. She took him in deeply, a direct and overwhelming claim of the moment. Aidan’s back arched off the bed, a strangled groan torn from his throat. The sensory overload was catastrophic—the bite of the silk at his wrists and ankles, the glare of the bulb, the smell of the studio, and the intense, swirling heat of her mouth. His mind fragmented. This was helping. This was the project. This was Keziah.

He was lost in the sensation, in the shocking reality of it, when he heard the crisp, mechanical click.

His eyes flew open. She had pulled back, just slightly, one hand still wrapped around the base of him. Her other arm was outstretched, holding a small remote she must have had in her pocket. She was looking past him, at the camera on the tripod. It had just taken a picture.

She met his gaze again, her lips slick and swollen. A sly, complicated smile played on them. “The submission isn’t just physical,” she said, her voice a husky thread. “It’s agreeing to be seen. To be documented in that state of pure, helpless need.”

She clicked the remote again. Another digital sound, capturing his bound form, his shocked face, the intimate violence of her mouth on him. Then she leaned back in, her tongue tracing a ruthless, knowing path, and all Aidan could do was let his head fall back against the sheet, the ropes holding him fast, as he surrendered completely to the current of her vision.
