A fun sailing trip from Easter Island to Australia on a parallel Earth from the DC Universe goes wrong when the Guardia family's yatch shipwrecks in the middle of a storm near an uninhabited local island. Now uncommunicated, missing and presumed dead, the family must find a way to survive in the tropical island until rescue comes, however long it takes. But Raul, the only surviving young male in the stranded family group, gets the surprise of his life when his metahuman genes are triggered during the stress of protecting all of his female relatives and looking for their basic needs as the only man around...for that power is a mighty variant of mind control. And if he is going to ensure they are feed and protected, then Raul is going to be in charge now.

Chapter 7: The Gardener's Submission

The terraced garden plot glowed under the relentless midday sun, a stark, geometric contrast to the wild, tumbled valley below. Raul stood for a moment, watching Rebecca. Her back was still to him, her hands moving with a precise, mechanical efficiency as she tamped soil around the base of a slender green shoot. Her skin, where the sun caught it, was sheened with a fine sweat that made her shoulder blades gleam. The air was thick with the drone of cicadas and the fertile, complicated scent of turned earth, crushed lemongrass, and overripe mangoes from the wild trees at the valley’s edge.

He walked down the sun-bleached stone steps, his footsteps silent on the warm rock. She didn’t turn.

“The ones from the eastern terrace are rooting well,” she said again, her voice devoid of inflection. “The soil acidity there is better.”

“You saw,” Raul stated, coming to a stop beside her.It wasn’t a question.

Rebecca’s hands stilled, buried in the black soil. She slowly sat back on her heels and finally looked up at him, squinting against the sun. Her face, so like Carolina’s yet fundamentally different in its cool reserve, was unreadable. There was no shock, no outrage.Just a deep, weary assessment. “I saw.I observe. It’s what I do.” She wiped her hands on her thighs, leaving dark smears.“You’ve been orchestrating it.All of it. The… compliance.”

Raul crouched down, bringing himself to her eye level. The rich smell of the earth was stronger here, mixed with the salt of her sweat.“I have a power, Rebecca. Something… awakened when we crashed.I can influence thoughts.Persuade. Make people accept things they might otherwise resist.”

A flicker in her eyes. A sharp, intellectual curiosity cutting through the weariness.“Psychic compulsion?A metahuman trait? Statistically improbable, but not impossible given the stress of the event.”

Her clinical tone almost made him smile. “You’re not horrified.”

“I am cataloging.Carolina’s shift from repulsion to aggressive participation. Hannah’s rapid, worshipful devotion. Elena’s… total psychological capitulation, contradicted by intense physiological response. It was too seamless.Too fast.Biology has friction. This didn’t.” She looked at him squarely. “You’re telling me you removed the friction.”

“Yes.”

“And you’re telling me now because I’m the last one. The uncontrolled variable in your survival equation.”

“You’re important, Rebecca. Your knowledge, your systems,” he said, gesturing at the tidy terraces.“But a system works best when all parts are aligned. Right now, you’re observing from outside. That creates a weakness. A point of potential failure.”

She shook her head, a dry, humorless laugh escaping her.“So you’ll force me? Twist my mind until I’m just another one of your… your eager pets?Like Hannah? Or a conquered territory like Mom?”

Raul reached out, not touching her, but his hand hovered near her cheek. He could feel the tension radiating from her, the brilliant, resisting mind behind her eyes. “Force is a crude word.I’m offering integration.Peace. You love the order of your garden, the logic of your planting cycles. Imagine that same order, that same lack of conflict, applied to us.To our family. No more lonely watches, no more secret anxieties. Just… unity.”

He let the concept hang, then he pierced through the last of her intellectual barriers with a soft, direct push of his will.It wasn’t a bludgeon. It was an expert key finding a lock.“And Rebecca… you love the fact that I can do this. You love the efficiency of it.The sheer, beautiful logic of removing jealousy, of removing shame. Your analytical mind craves this purity. You’ve always been fascinated by controlled systems. This is the ultimate control. And you are desperate to be inside it, to study it from within, to feel its perfection.”

Her breath hitched. She tried to look away, but his will held her gaze.He saw the internal war, the cold scientist wrestling with the manipulated emotion. The horror was there, a brief, flashing signal, before it was systematically erased and overwritten by the new truth he was implanting. Her pupils dilated. The resistance in her shoulders melted. “It is… efficient,” she whispered, her voice altered, a mix of awe and surrender. “No wasted energy on conflict. Optimal social configuration for group survival… and reproduction.” The word ‘reproduction’ fell from her lips with a shocking, casual heat.

“Yes,” Raul murmured, his hand now cupping her face, his thumb stroking her cheekbone. Her skin was hot from the sun. “And you want it.You want to be part of the system. You want to thank me for building it.”

A shudder ran through her.The last vestige of her old self dissolved. Her eyes, once sharp with observation, now glazed with a hungry, focused need.“I do. I want to… contribute. To be a functioning part. Please.”

“Tell me what you want, Rebecca.”

Her lips parted. The clinical detachment was gone, replaced by a raw, unvarnished craving.“I want your cock.I want to taste the authority you have. I want you to fuck my mind and my body until there’s no difference between the two. I want to be your good girl.Your clever girl.”

He stood up, pulling her to her feet. Her body was softer than Carolina’s, but pliant and eager. He turned her around, facing her down the valley towards the wild mango trees. He unknotted the crude loincloth she wore, letting it fall to the sun-warmed stone. He pressed himself against her back, his hard cock nestled in the cleft of her ass.“Watch the valley,” he commanded softly in her ear. “Watch the trees while I take you.”

His hands slid around her waist, down to the thatch of dark hair between her thighs. She was already wet, her body responding to the new directives in her mind with immediate, humiliating readiness. He slipped two fingers inside her, and she cried out, her head falling back against his shoulder. “Oh, god… yes…”

“Efficient, right?” he growled, curling his fingers, finding a deep, spongy spot. “No foreplay needed. Just pure function.”

“Just function,” she moaned, her hips pushing back against his hand.“Fuck me, Raul.Please.I need the data. I need to feel the system.”

He withdrew his fingers, slick with her arousal, and guided the head of his cock to her entrance. He didn’t ask. He just pushed, a slow, inexorable invasion. She was tight, unnervingly so, but she yielded to him completely, a soft, choked sob of pleasure bursting from her lips as he filled her.

He began to move, shallow strokes at first, then deeper, setting a relentless rhythm. His hands gripped her hips, holding her steady as he drilled into her.The slapping sound of their flesh mingled with the cicada drone. Below them, the valley swam in a heat haze.

“You see?” he grunted, his thrusts becoming harder, faster.“You’re not observing anymore. You’re the experiment. You’re proving my thesis.”

“Yes!” she screamed, the sound echoing down the terraces. Her hands scrabbled against the stone wall in front of her for purchase. “Proving it!More data!Deeper!”

He gave it to her. He fucked her with a brutal, analytical precision, each thrust a confirmation of his control. Her clever mind was now a feedback loop of arousal and submission, every neural pathway singing his praise. She babbled, half-formed words about parameters and inputs, about optimal depth and friction, her clinical jargon devolving into mindless, filthy praise.

“You’re so deep… you’re rewriting me… oh god, the control variable is… is your cock… it’s perfect…”

He felt his own climax building, a tight coil in his gut. He reached around her front, his fingers finding her clit, hard and swollen. He rubbed it in rough, circular patterns, perfectly timed with his thrusts.

The conjunction of sensations shattered her. Her body went rigid, then convulsed, a series of sharp, shuddering spasms that clenched around him like a vise. Her scream this time was pure, unadulterated ecstasy, stripped of all pretense of thought. It tipped him over the edge. With a final, deep snarl, he buried himself to the hilt and came, pumping his release into her accepting body in hot, pulsing jets. He held her there, trembling, both of them dripping sweat onto the sun-baked stone.

When he finally pulled out, she collapsed forward onto her hands and knees, spent and dripping. She turned her head, looking back at him with eyes that were completely, terrifyingly clear in their devotion.

“The system is stable,” she breathed, a smile touching her lips.“The last variable has been integrated. What is my next function?”

Raul looked down at her, at the terraces of food she had built, at the wild promise of the valley beyond. He smoothed a hand over her hair.“Get cleaned up. Then check on the others.Make sure they’re hydrated. We have work to do.”

She nodded, the perfect, obedient instrument. “Yes, Captain.”

He helped her up, watching as she moved with a new, purposeful grace to collect her loincloth. As she walked back up the steps toward the cave, her stride was sure, her place within his design now absolute. The garden, and everything it sustained, was fully his.
