Chapter 1: The Bulge Breaks Free

The wall between our apartments was tissue-paper thin. I’d heard everything for weeks. The low groans, the desperate panting, the wet, rhythmic thump of a fist against flesh that sometimes went on for hours. It wasn’t just sound; it was a vibration in my own bones, a hum in my teeth. I knew his schedule, his patterns, the hitch in his breath right before he finished. I knew the scent of him, too—ozone and something feral, seeping through the plaster.

His name was N. Just a letter. Anonymous, quiet. He’d moved in next door three months ago, average in every way. Shy smile, slightly slumped shoulders. That didn’t last.

It started with the ceiling light in my bathroom flickering whenever he was in his. Then the low, structural groaning, like the building was settling. Except it wasn’t the building. It was him. Growing.

I couldn’t stay away. The obsession was a live wire in my gut. Tonight, the noises were different. Agonized. A raw, guttural sound that bypassed lust and went straight to panic. I didn’t knock. His door was unlocked, hanging slightly crooked in its frame.

His bedroom was a disaster zone. Peeling wallpaper hung in strips, revealing the lath beneath like exposed ribs. Plaster dust snowed gently from the ceiling. And in the center of it all, on a mattress sagging nearly to the floorboards, was N.

He was on his back, a beached leviathan. He wasn't average anymore. He was massive, his shoulders spanning the width of a king-sized bed, his feet pressing against the far wall. His plain white t-shirt was stretched into a translucent web of threads over a chest that rose and fell like a bellows. His jeans were torn at the seams, a lost cause.

“Nina,” he gasped. His voice was deeper, a resonance that shook dust from the light fixture. His eyes were wide with a horror that mirrored the frantic beat of my heart. “Get out. You have to get out now.”

“I’m not leaving,” I heard myself say. My voice was steady, but my hands were shaking. I knelt on the gritty floor beside the bed, the smell of him—sweat, salt, that sharp electric scent—overwhelming. The heat radiating from his skin was immense.

His focus was entirely on the monstrous bulge tenting the ruins of his denim. It twitched. The fabric gave a muffled rip.

“Please,” he begged.

I didn’t listen. I reached for the button of his jeans, my fingers clumsy. The metal pinged off into the dark corner of the room. I peeled the torn fly apart. The damp cotton of his boxer briefs beneath was straining, the outline beneath it unmistakable, veined, and terrifying. A dark, wet patch of precum had already soaked through.

I licked my lips. My mouth was desert-dry.

I hooked my fingers into the waistband of his briefs and pulled them down.

It sprang free, hot and heavy against my wrist. A choked sound escaped me. It was already the size of my forearm, thick and rooted impossibly to his groin. It wasn't just big; it was alive, pulsing with a slow, deliberate rhythm, each throb making it lengthen, thicken. The head, flushed a deep purple, brushed my chin. A pearl of slick precum beaded at the slit and smeared onto my skin, burning like a brand.

I looked up at his face. Tears tracked through the grime on his cheeks. He was horrified. He was also, impossibly, fully erect. The conflict was etched into every straining tendon of his neck.

“Nina, stop, I can’t—it’s not safe.”

“It’s all I’ve wanted,” I whispered, my own obsession drowning out the sirens in my head. I wrapped both hands around the base. The heat was incredible. The skin was silken, sliding over a core of iron. I could feel the individual veins, cables under my palms. I leaned in, my wild red hair curtaining our faces.

My tongue darted out, tasting the salt at the tip. He jerked violently, a convulsion that made the bedframe shriek.

“Oh god, no, don’t—”

I took him into my mouth as far as I could, which wasn't far at all. It was an act of worship and hunger. I sucked, using my hands where my mouth couldn't reach. The rhythmic thump I’d heard through the wall was here now, amplified, the sound of his heart or maybe something else, something deep within him gathering.

He was muttering, a stream of curses and prayers. His hands, each large enough to cradle my skull, fisted in the ruined sheets. “It’s… it’s feeding on this. On the arousal. It just takes it and grows.”

I pulled back, gasping for air, a string of spit connecting my lip to him. I was terrified. I was more turned on than I’d ever been in my life. The two feelings were the same color, the same screaming pitch.

“It wants to breed,” I panted, the words coming from some primal script in my hindbrain. “It just wants to pump you full, make you swell, make you breed.”

The second the word left my lips, the air changed.

A deep, sub-audible hum vibrated up through the floor. His eyes rolled back. A guttural roar tore from his throat, part agony, part ecstasy.

It happened fast.

The shaft in my hands surged, expanding so rapidly my grip was broken. It shot upward, thickening, lengthening, the head blotting out the cracked ceiling above us. Veins bulged, mapping a brutal new topography. The room seemed to shrink, the walls pressing in. The sac beneath, heavy as a sack of stones, drew up tight, churning audibly.

He was becoming the room. Becoming the building.

“It’s filling,” he sobbed, his hands clutching at his stomach, which was distending, tight and round. “My balls… they’re filling up. It’s making more. It won’t stop. It’s a reactor. Nina, run.”

But I was frozen, kneeling in the shadow of the monument his body had become. I could only stare upward, at the throbbing, vein-laced cathedral of flesh that reached for the crumbling ceiling, at the impossible, churning weight of what was preparing to unleash.

The wet, rhythmic thump was now a pounding drum. A countdown.

He looked at me, his face a mask of apocalyptic shame and need. “I can’t hold it,” he whispered.

The first contraction ripped through him. The walls shuddered.

The walls shuddered.

It wasn’t a sound. It was a pressure wave, a subsonic boom that hit my chest first, squeezing the air from my lungs. The world turned white, then a deep, furious red behind my eyelids.

A geyser of heat and wet force slammed into me, knocking me flat onto my back. It wasn’t just cum. It was a flood, a tidal surge of it, hot as broth and thick as paste. It sheeted across the ceiling with a slap, rained down in globs the size of my fist, and poured over the floor in a rushing, shallow river. The smell was overpowering—musky, salty, fertile. It drowned out the ozone, drowned out everything.

I was drowning in it.

I sputtered, pushing up on my elbows, my hair plastered to my skull and face. The room was coated. Dripping. Every surface gleamed wetly in the dying light.

And N…

He was screaming. But it was a scream of release, of unbelievable, catastrophic relief. His back arched off the ruined mattress, every muscle in his colossal frame locked in a final, seismic spasm.

Then, the contraction passed.

The silence that followed was ringing, broken only by the drip… drip… drip from the ceiling and my own ragged, wet breaths.

I watched, wiping my eyes clear.

The change was immediate. Like a time-lapse of a glacier melting in reverse.

The monstrous shaft, the vein-laced cathedral that had threatened the structural integrity of the building, was… deflating. Not softening, but retracting. It was sinking back into itself, the vast bulk thinning, shortening, the furious purple hue fading to a flushed pink. It happened with a wet, sliding sound, a grotesque sigh.

His body followed suit. The distended swell of his stomach subsided. The mountainous breadth of his shoulders diminished, the bones seeming to re-knit themselves to a human scale. The echoes of his cries faded into whimpers, then into shaky, panting breaths.

It was over in maybe sixty seconds.

Where a titan had lain, now just a man sprawled, exhausted and gleaming, on the wreckage of his bed. He was just… N again. Average height, average build, maybe a little more defined than I remembered, but normal. Shivering. Covered head to toe in the evidence of the cataclysm.

The room, however, looked like a crime scene against nature.

I sat up, the sticky fluid pulling at my clothes. I stared at him. He stared at the dripping ceiling, his chest heaving.

“Well,” I said, my voice hoarse. I spat a wad of it onto the flooded floor. “That was new.”

He turned his head slowly. The raw horror was gone, replaced by a deep, hollow embarrassment. “I told you to run.”

“Yeah. You did.” I crawled over to the bed, the movement awkward. I reached out a trembling hand and poked his shoulder. Solid. Normal. “You’re… you. Again.”

“For now,” he mumbled, closing his eyes. A shudder ran through him. “It always… goes back. After.”

The pieces clunked into place in my head, a grotesque biology lesson. The weeks of buildup. The frantic, lonely sounds through the wall. The growth, the unbearable pressure. My arrival, my touch, my words.

It wants to breed.

I’d walked right into the trigger. I was the release valve.

“So, what?” I said, a hysterical laugh bubbling in my throat. “Your body just… inflates like a damn parade float to get a girl’s attention? And when you… finish the job…” I gestured vaguely at the apocalyptic mess around us. “…the show’s over? You just pack it all away until next time?”

He nodded, not meeting my eyes. “Pretty much. The hornier I get, the worse it gets. It builds and builds until… until it finds what it’s looking for. Then it resets.” He finally looked at me, his expression bleak. “I’m really sorry you were what it was looking for.”

I looked around at the demolished room, at the pools of fluid, at my own soaked, ruined clothes. The sheer absurdity of it all hit me. The primal terror was seeping away, leaving behind a wild, incredulous buzz.

“Don’t be sorry,” I heard myself say. I wiped a slick streak from my cheek. “Just… warn me next time you feel a draft. So I can wear a raincoat.”

A weak, shattered sound escaped him. It might have been a laugh. He pushed himself up, his movements human-awkward again. He looked small in the vast, sticky ruin.

He was shrinking back down. The process was complete. The lure had worked. The mate had been secured. The biological imperative was satisfied.

For now.
