Chapter 7: Wife's fury
The scent of stale samosas and spilled whiskey hung in the air of Vishal’s living room, a cheap ghost of the party that had just ended. Paper plates were strewn like landmines across the carpet. I was gathering them, my body still humming with a deep, satiated ache from Rome, a secret I carried in my bones.
Swati had been the perfect hostess all evening, her laughter a bright, tinkling bell, her saree a stunning emerald green. But as the last guest stumbled out into the night, the bell had cracked. I felt her presence behind me before I heard her.
“Leave those.”
Her voice was different. It had no music in it now. It was a flat, cold sheet of glass.
I turned, a forced smile on my lips. “It’s no trouble, beta. You hosted such a lovely—”
“Shut up, Priya.”
The words hung between us, sharp and final. She stood by the drawn curtains, the dim light from a solitary lamp carving her face into a mask of beautiful, furious contempt. The goddess had shed her benevolence.
“You think I’m blind?” she said, taking a step forward. “You think I don’t know what stink you’ve brought into my house? The way you look at him. The way he touches you when he thinks no one is watching. You filthy, leaking whore.”
My breath hitched. “Swati, please, you’re imagining—”
“Am I?” She let out a short, brutal laugh. “Rome. You went to Rome. He came back with a scratch down his back he couldn’t explain. You came back walking differently. Like a well-fucked mare.” She spat the last word. “You defiled my brother’s marriage. You defiled my home by bringing your sickness here. And you…” Her eyes, blazing, shifted past me.
Vishal stood in the doorway to the kitchen, a glass of water in his hand, frozen. All his charisma had drained away, leaving behind the pale shell of a man caught.
“You,” Swati whispered, and the whisper was more terrifying than any shout. “You let this cheap, married cunt trick you. You put your hands on her when you should be on your knees for your wife.”
“Swati, it’s not…” Vishal began, his voice weak.
“Stand there,” she commanded me, pointing to a spot directly before the worn sofa. “Don’t move. Don’t speak. You will watch. You will see what a real woman does to a traitor.”
A strange paralysis locked my joints. I moved to the spot, my heart hammering against my ribs. This was a different Swati. This was Kali, sprung from the domestic tapestry on the wall.
She turned her divine wrath on Vishal. “Put the glass down.”
He did.
“Now. Undress me.”
He blinked. “What?”
“You heard me. You have hands skilled at undressing whores. Use them on your wife. Every hook, every pin. Slowly. You will not tear my silk.”
A tremor went through him. Then, like a man in a trance, he approached her. His fingers, which had been so confident and brutal on my body and Shalaka’s in Rome, fumbled at the delicate clasp of her necklace. It clattered to the floor. He reached for the pallu of her saree. His touch was hesitant, reverent, and terrified.
Swati stood immobile, her eyes locked on mine, a cruel smile playing on her lips as her husband unwrapped her. The emerald silk whispered as it slid from her shoulders, pooling at her feet like a fallen leaf. Her blouse followed, then her petticoat. She stood before us in only a simple bra and underwear, but her nakedness was not vulnerable. It was armor. She was magnificent, her skin glowing in the low light, her curves a silent indictment of my own eager, compromised flesh.
“Now him,” she said to me, without looking away from my face. “Tell him to kneel.”
My throat was dust. “Kneel,” I croaked.
Vishal sank to his knees on the carpet before her. The posture of a supplicant. Of a prisoner.
Swati hooked a finger under the waistband of her underwear and slid them down her thighs, stepping out of them. She placed a bare foot on his shoulder, not pushing, just resting it there, a casual ownership. “Look at what you’ve been ignoring, husband. Look at what you traded for gutter slop.”
She was flawless. Shaven, smooth, the skin tender and rich. She moved her foot, tracing a line down his chest with her toes. “You will serve me now. The way you should have been serving me every night. You will use that mouth for something other than lies.”
Vishal’s eyes were glazed, wide with a mix of shame and a dark, reluctant arousal. He leaned forward, his hands coming up to rest on her hips.
“Hands behind your back,” Swati snapped.
He obeyed, interlacing his fingers at the small of his back. He was now completely at her mercy, his face inches from her sex. He extended his tongue, a tentative, pathetic pink muscle.
“Not like a timid goat,” she hissed, grabbing a fistful of his hair. “Like you mean it. Like your life depends on pleasing me. Because it does.”
She yanked his head forward, grinding herself against his mouth. A low, choked sound came from him, but he began to move, his tongue lashing in broad, desperate strokes. The wet, messy sounds filled the silent room. I watched, mesmerized and sickened. His nose buried in her, his eyes squeezed shut in concentration or despair. Swati’s head fell back, a soft sigh escaping her, but her eyes never left mine. They were triumphant, taunting.
“See how he licks his wife’s cunt, Priya?” she moaned, her voice dripping with filthy delight. “See how he remembers whose it is? This is where he belongs. Not in your used-up hole, you dried-up bitch.”
Each word was a lash. I was pinned by her gaze, by the obscene spectacle. Vishal, the charismatic seducer, reduced to a grunting, slurping animal at his wife’s command. And I felt a treacherous, shameful heat blooming in my own stomach. It was horrifying. It was the most powerful thing I had ever seen.
Swati’s moans grew louder, more theatrical. “Yes… just there, you bastard… lick it clean… lick your betrayal off my skin…” She rode his face with slow, grinding rolls of her hips, her own hands coming up to cup her breasts through her bra. “Look at him, Priya! Look at the great Vishal Pandey! My personal, cunt-licking dog!”
She suddenly shoved him back, breaking the contact. A string of saliva and her wetness connected his lips to her skin for a second before snapping. He knelt there, panting, his mouth glistening, his cock visibly hard and straining against his trousers. He was utterly, completely hard. From the humiliation. From her dominance.
Swati looked down at his arousal and laughed. “Of course. This is what truly excites you, isn’t it? Being put in your place.” She stepped back, swaying over to the sofa, and sat on the edge, spreading her legs wide. The display was vulgar, deliberate. “You want to fuck me now, don’t you, husband? After tasting your own disgrace on me?”
He could only nod, a broken, eager nod.
“Then come here,” she purred, patting the space between her thighs. “But you will not enter me. Not yet. This is just the beginning.”
He crawled to her, like the dog she’d named him. She guided his head back between her legs, but this time, she lay back on the sofa, one leg hooked over the back, opening herself obscenely wide. “Show Priya how deep you can worship. Show her what you should have been doing all along.”
He buried his face in her again, his nose and mouth disappearing, his shoulders shaking with the effort. Swati’s body arched, a real, raw gasp tearing from her this time. Her performance melted into genuine, shuddering pleasure. Her fingers tangled in his hair, not guiding now, but clutching. “Yes… oh, you fucking bastard… yes…”
I stood, my assigned witness, my own body aching with a confused, complicit hunger. The room smelled of sex, sweat, and betrayal. The family portraits on the walls looked on, silent and grim.
After long minutes, Swati convulsed, a sharp, silent cry tightening her features. She pushed Vishal’s head away, breathing heavily. He slumped to the floor beside the sofa, spent, covered in her, his erection still painfully present.
Swati sat up, pulling her bra back on with deliberate slowness. She looked at me, then at the broken man at her feet. Her smile was back, but it was colder than the night outside.
“This was just a reminder, husband,” she said softly. “The punishment hasn’t even started.”
Swati rose from the sofa, her movements fluid with a predator’s grace. She looked at Vishal, panting and stained on the floor, then at me, rooted to my spot. “Get up,” she told him, her voice now a conversational lilt that was somehow worse. “Your mouth is tired. Mine isn’t.”
She pushed him onto his back on the carpet, the rough weave scratching his skin. He offered no resistance, his eyes hollow yet burning. Swati knelt between his legs, her bra still the only concession to modesty. She didn’t touch him with her hands. She simply lowered her head, her black hair falling like a curtain, and took him into her mouth.
It wasn’t like Rome. There was no frantic, claiming hunger. This was a slow, devastating sacrament. She used her lips, her tongue, the hollows of her cheeks with a languid, practiced precision that was utterly foreign to our rushed, stolen couplings. I watched, my earlier arousal curdling into a sour, awe-struck jealousy. This was pure ecstasy he was getting. A deep, groaning sigh escaped him, his body melting into the floor.
“Haan, saale…,” Swati murmured around him, the Hindi crude and intimate. “Feel that? This is what a wife knows.” She pulled back, breathing hotly on his glistening skin. “Not some cheap, hotel-room hurry. This.”
She resumed, her rhythm a torturous, unhurried climb. They created a new language in that dim room. He whispered her name, choked pleas that sounded like prayers. She answered with filthy, loving curses, calling him her bastard, her betrayer, her husband. They worshipped each other with tongue and hands now, his fingers tangling in her hair not to force her, but to feel the connection.
“Priya, dekho,” Swati moaned, breaking her rhythm to glance at me, her lips swollen. “See how he melts for his real wife? Your cunt could never do this.” The abuse continued, a steady, humiliating stream. “Tum jaise randi ke liye wo bas timepass tha. You were a pastime. This… this is his home.”
I grew so hot. The shame was a live wire in my stomach, sparking against the visceral display. My hand, acting of its own volition, slipped under the waistband of my salwar. I was unable to control myself. I started fingering myself there, in the middle of their living room, a silent, complicit spectator to my own annihilation.
Swati saw. Her eyes glittered with triumph. She increased her pace, a wet, rhythmic slurping that filled the air. Vishal’s hips began to jerk off the floor, his control fraying. “Swati… I’m going to… main nikalne wala hoon…”
“No,” she commanded, pulling off him with a sharp pop. He cried out in agony, his body taut as a bowstring. She turned her head, her gaze nailing me to the wall. “You. Come here. Now.”
I stumbled forward, my legs weak, my fingers still wet from myself. She pointed to a spot directly over Vishal’s chest. “Stand there. Open your kameez.”
My fingers fumbled with the buttons. The fabric fell open, revealing my plain bra. “That too,” Swati said, her voice leaving no room for anything but obedience.
I unhooked it. My breasts fell free, exposed in the stale air. Swati nodded, a cruel satisfaction on her face. She positioned me, adjusting my stance like a photographer composing a shot. Then she turned back to Vishal, whose eyes were wide, desperate, fixed on the source of his relief.
“Look at her, Vishal,” Swati cooed, her hand stroking him slowly. “Look at the woman you chose over your home. Look at what you’re about to ruin.” She guided him, her grip firm. “Now. Give it to her. Give your filth to the filth.”
She took him back into her mouth for three final, expert strokes. Then she aimed him at me. A hot, ragged shout tore from his throat as the first jet struck my skin, white and shocking against my breast. The rest followed, a pulsing, defiling stripe across my chest, dripping slowly, obscenely down my stomach.
It was warm. It smelled of him, of salt, of their marriage. I stood there, defiled completely, the proof of his ultimate betrayal cooling on my skin. Swati sat back on her heels, watching it drip with a serene, terrible smile.
Vishal collapsed, utterly spent. Swati stood, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. She looked from his unconscious form to me, standing there covered in his seed.
“Clean yourself with your clothes,” she said quietly. “Then get out of my house.” She stepped closer, her breath hot in my ear. “But remember this painting, Priya. This is all you were ever worth to him. A place to dump his guilt. The punishment has just started.”
The silence after her words was absolute, a thick, humming void where the only sound was the frantic drum of my own heart. I stood there, the proof of my degradation cooling and tightening on my skin. Vishal was a motionless heap on the carpet, his chest rising and falling in shallow, exhausted hitches. Swati simply walked away, disappearing into the kitchen. I heard the tap run, the clink of a glass.
I didn’t move. I didn’t dare. The command to clean myself and leave hung in the air, but a deeper, more terrified instinct told me any movement would be wrong. So I waited, half-naked, shivering in the warm room. The sticky streaks on my chest and stomach felt like brands.
Minutes stretched, each one a separate agony. Swati returned, leaning against the doorframe, sipping water. She watched me with the dispassionate interest of a scientist observing a trapped insect. She said nothing. The clock on the wall ticked, a metronome measuring my disgrace. An hour passed in this terrible, wordless suspension.
My legs began to ache, a sharp protest from standing rigid for so long. A whimper escaped my lips, a tiny sound of physical distress. It broke the spell.
“I… I should go,” I whispered, my voice cracking from disuse. I bent, slowly, to gather my kameez, to cover myself.
“No.”
The single word was soft but carried the weight of stone. Swati put her glass down. “You’re not leaving yet. You haven’t seen the main performance.” She walked to where Vishal lay and nudged his thigh with her bare foot. “Get up. We’re not finished.”
He groaned, rolling onto his side, his body protesting. He looked ravaged, empty. “Swati, please,” he slurred, “I have nothing left.”
“You think I care?” she said, her voice dripping with a sweet venom. “You gave your best to her, in some Roman sewer. You will give your exhausted dregs to me, here, in your home. And you will make them feel like heaven.” She knelt beside him, her hand cupping his flaccidness. It was a possessive, clinical gesture. “Look at him, Priya. This is what you reduced him to. A drained, useless thing.”
She lowered her head. Her approach was not like before, not about conquest. It was a reclamation. She took him into her mouth, not with voracious hunger, but with a slow, persistent, nurturing suction. Her tongue worked miracles of patience, coaxing, inviting. She made soft, encouraging sounds against his skin. “Haan, jaane… come back to me,” she murmured, the filthy taunts replaced by a low, intimate cadence. “Give it to me. Not for you. For us.”
It was agonizingly slow. I watched, hypnotized, as her dedication willed life back into him. His body, which had been limp, gradually tensed. A low, broken sound, part sob, part moan, rattled from his chest. His fingers crept into her hair, not to guide, but to cling. “Swati…,” he breathed, the name a prayer of surrender.
When he was fully, achingly hard again, she rose. She positioned herself over him on the floor, guiding him inside herself with a slow, deliberate descent that made them both gasp. She didn’t move at first, just sat there, impaled, her eyes closed, a look of profound, devastating connection on her face. Then she began to rock.
This was nothing like Rome. There was no brutality, no performance for an audience. This was a deep, rolling tide of mutual need. She rode him with a sinuous grace, her head thrown back, her hands roaming her own body. She brought her breasts to his mouth. “Love them,” she commanded, her voice thick. “You forgot how.”
He obeyed, nuzzling, sucking, his hands coming up to worship her. The sounds were different now: wet, slick friction; their mingled, ragged breathing; soft, gasped words in Hindi that held no cruelty, only a desperate, familiar intimacy. “Aisa… haan… mere saath.” Like this… yes… with me.
I watched, my earlier shameful arousal reigniting into a consuming fire. My hand slipped back into my salwar, my fingers finding the slick, desperate proof of my own captivated degradation. I was invisible, a ghost in their marital bed.
Swati’s rhythm built, a crescendo of pure, selfish pleasure. She wasn’t thinking of me. She was lost in the feel of her husband, in her victory, in the long-denied fullness. Her climax took her silently, a series of sharp, internal clenches that made her spine arch and her mouth form a perfect, soundless ‘O’. She slumped forward onto his chest, breathing hard.
After a moment, she rolled them over. Now he was above her, cradled between her thighs on the rough carpet. He looked into her eyes, and what I saw there shattered me. It was anguish, and apology, and a love so deep it had survived his own filth. He began to move.
This was the fuck I had never had. This was not a taking, but a giving. A long, slow, endless giving. Each thrust was a question, each sigh an answer. He kissed her eyelids, her throat, her shoulders. He whispered things I could not hear. She wrapped her legs around his back, her heels digging into his ass, pulling him deeper, accepting every part of him, his betrayal, his shame, his love. Her second climax built slowly, a rising wave that broke with a choked, sobbing cry that she muffled against his shoulder.
She pushed him onto his back again, turning away from me. On her hands and knees, she presented herself to him, a magnificent, sweat-sheened arc. He followed, kneeling behind her, his hands gripping the lush curves of her hips. The pace changed here, becoming primal, a driving, possessive rhythm that had nothing to do with punishment and everything to do with a raw, animal claiming. They found a syncopated rhythm, their bodies slapping together in a wet, frantic tattoo.
“Swati!” he roared, the sound torn from a place deeper than lust.
“Vishal!” she screamed back, a matching, feral cry.
It was a duet of abandonment. I was fingering myself frantically now, my own silent, shuddering release lost in the cacophony of theirs. Their final sounds were not words, but raw, guttural expressions of a mutual shattering. He drove into her one last, desperate time, his body locking as he emptied himself with a roar that seemed to shake the portraits on the walls. She collapsed beneath him, her own climax milking him, a series of helpless, pulsating shudders.
They fell into a heap, a tangled, breathing monument. The air was thick with the smell of sex and salt and solved hatred.
I pulled my sticky fingers from my soaked clothes. What a show. I loved it. This was real sex. Unhurried. In abundance. A painful, beautiful exchange of joy. Nothing I had ever gotten from my husband. Nothing Vishal had ever given me. I was just a hole he used. She was his universe.
I finally moved, numb, pulling my soiled kameez around me. I didn’t look at them as I let myself out. The night air was cold on my skin, but it couldn’t touch the furnace of humiliation and yearning that now burned, permanent, in my core.
