Chapter 1: Introduction
The scent of garlic and tomatoes wafted through the air as Mike set the table, the clinking of cutlery against plates filling the cozy kitchen. The late afternoon sun streamed in through the window, casting a warm glow on the wooden floor. Kindra, wearing a loose sundress that accentuated her pregnant form, was arranging flowers in a vase while humming a tune. Her blonde hair was pulled back in a messy bun, a few loose strands framing her face.
She paused, looking out the window, a soft smile playing on her lips. The humming stopped, replaced by a low, contented sigh. Mike glanced at her from the kitchen, a playful smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "Still at it, huh?" he teased.
Kindra turned to him, her eyes sparkling. "You know it, babe. This baby's got me insatiable." She winked, then turned back to her task, a slight flush on her cheeks.
Mike chuckled, shaking his head. "I've never seen anyone so enthusiastic about...
whatever it is you're enthusiastic about," he finished with a smirk, pouring some wine into a glass.
Kindra laughed, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "Oh, you know exactly what I'm enthusiastic about, Mike. And don't think I've forgotten about our little... discussion last night."
Mike raised an eyebrow, leaning against the counter. "Discussion, huh? That's what you're calling it now?"
Before Kindra could respond, the doorbell rang, interrupting their banter. Mike grinned, "Save it for later, sweetheart.
That's probably Andrea and George." He kissed her gently on the cheek before heading to the door. Kindra watched him go, a playful smirk still on her face.
Mike opened the door, and Andrea breezed in, her arms laden with a casserole dish and a bottle of wine. "Hey, you two! Sorry we're a bit late, George had to take a call."
George followed her in, his tall frame filling the doorway. He flashed a charming smile at Kindra, "Sorry about that, Kindra.
You look great, by the way."
Kindra smiled at him, her eyes flicking briefly to his crotch before meeting his gaze again. "Thanks, George. You too. Where's your better half?"
George chuckled, "Right here, George. And please don't look at him like that," Andrea interrupted, setting the casserole on the kitchen counter with a thud.
Kindra laughed, a warm, inviting sound. "Sorry, Andrea. It's just... the hormones, you know?
They make me see things...differently," Kindra said, her voice dropping to a low purr. She added with a wink, "Besides, you can't blame a girl for appreciating a fine specimen."
Mike cleared his throat, subtly shifting to block Kindra's view. "Don't mind her, George. She's been on a...kick lately."
George shrugged, a hint of color rising to his cheeks. "No worries, Mike. I've got a sister, remember? I'm used to hormonal women."
Andrea huffed, rolling her eyes.
"Seriously, Kindra? You're making things awkward."
Kindra laughed, a playful glint in her eyes. "Awkward? Oh, honey, we're just getting started."
Mike intervened, "Alright, ladies, let's not start the evening off on the wrong foot. How about we pour some wine and catch up?"
They all moved to the living room, the atmosphere slightly charged. Andrea sat down on the couch, her body language tense. George took a seat next to her, his hand resting casually on her knee.
