Chapter 3: The Hearing Aftermath
The silence in the penthouse was absolute. Not the peaceful quiet of before, but the hollow, ringing silence of a battlefield after the dead have been cleared. Boxes marked ‘Laura’s Misc.’ sat by the elevator door, waiting for pickup. The art was gone from the walls, leaving faint, ghostly squares on the paint. The air smelled of lemon cleaner and emptiness.
DJ stood at the floor-to-ceiling window, a crystal tumbler of bourbon in his hand, not drinking. He watched the city lights blink on in the deepening twilight. The hearing had been a formality. His lawyer had presented the prenuptial agreement, the photos—grainy, damning prints from the river-view hotel—and the judge, a woman in her sixties with a pinched mouth, had barely glanced at Laura’s tear-stained face before granting the divorce and enforcing the terms. No alimony. No settlement. The house, the accounts, the investments—all his. She got her clothes, her personal effects, and a one-way ticket to irrelevance.
He’d watched her walk out of the courtroom, her shoulders hunched, a woman erased. He’d felt nothing. It was a surgical removal, complete and clean.
The ding of the private elevator broke the silence.
He didn’t turn. He heard the doors whisper open, then the click of heels on polished concrete. He knew the rhythm of that walk now.
Sienna stopped a few feet behind him. He could see her reflection in the dark glass—a silhouette in a sheath of tight black fabric that ended mid-thigh. Her hair was swept up, sharp and severe. She looked like a blade.
“It’s done,” she said. Her voice was calm, flat.
“It’s done,” he echoed.
He turned then. The single floor lamp cast an oblong of sickly light across the vast living room, leaving the corners in deep shadow. Her face was in partial darkness, her eyes pools of black. She held a bottle of champagne by the neck, the green glass beaded with condensation.
“Celebrating?” he asked, nodding at the bottle.
“I thought you might be,” she said. She set the bottle on a packing box with a soft thud. Her eyes never left his.
They stood like that, ten feet of empty space between them, charged with everything that had been said and done in the hotel. The promises, the violations, the blueprints for an empire.
Without a word, her hands went to the hem of her dress. She gathered the tight material and slowly pulled it up over her hips, her stomach, her breasts. She let it fall, a black puddle on the concrete floor. She wasn’t wearing anything underneath. Her skin was pale in the dim light, marked with the faint yellowing ghosts of his fingerprints on her hips from days before.
She knelt.
The sound of her knees meeting the hard floor was a soft, final knock. She knelt amidst the boxes and the emptiness, her back straight, her gaze fixed on the fly of his trousers. She was a statue of submission in the ruins of her mother’s life.
He felt a stirring, a thick, heavy heat that had nothing to do with affection and everything to do with absolute dominion. He walked toward her, his steps slow. He stopped when the polished toes of his shoes were inches from her knees.
“Look at me,” he said.
She lifted her chin. Her expression was serene, vacant almost, but her eyes held that same hard, calculating glint he’d seen over the laptop. She was performing this, but she was present in it. She was choosing it.
He unzipped his pants. He wasn’t fully hard, but the sight of her, naked and kneeling in this cold, half-empty space that was now wholly his, was doing its work. He freed himself.
Her mouth parted slightly. She leaned forward, not waiting for a command this time. She took him into her mouth, just the head at first. Her tongue was warm, wet, swirling around the crown. She worked him with a deliberate, practiced slowness that was far more intimate than frantic hunger. She was studying him, tasting him, her eyes open, watching his face as she took him deeper.
He let his head fall back, a soft groan escaping his lips. He tangled a hand in her upswept hair, dislodging a pin. A dark strand fell across her cheek. He guided her, not forcefully, just a steady pressure, and she accepted it, taking more of him, her throat relaxing to accommodate his growing girth. The wet, rhythmic sounds filled the hollow room. He was fully erect now, straining against her skilled mouth.
“Enough,” he rasped, pulling her head back by her hair.
She released him with a soft, wet pop, her lips swollen and slick. A string of saliva bridged the gap for a second before breaking. She looked up, expectant.
“On the sofa. Hands and knees.”
She rose fluidly and moved to the large leather sectional, the same one he and Laura had picked out years ago. She climbed onto it, the cool leather a shock against her skin. She presented herself, back arched, head down. The pose was one of utter vulnerability, of offering.
He came up behind her, running a hand over the curve of her ass, then delivering a sharp, stinging slap. The sound cracked through the quiet. She gasped, her body jerking forward, but she held the position. A perfect red handprint bloomed on her pale flesh.
“This is what she threw away,” he murmured, more to himself than to her. He positioned himself at her entrance, using his own slick from her mouth. He didn’t tease. He pushed forward, sinking into her tight, wet heat in one long, relentless stroke.
She cried out, a muffled sound against the leather. He was deep, impossibly deep, in this position. He held himself there, buried to the hilt, letting her feel the full, stretching invasion.
“You feel that?” he grunted, his hands gripping her hips hard. “That’s what’s hers. What she lost. And it’s mine now.”
He began to move, a slow, grinding rhythm that emphasized the depth. Each withdrawal was almost complete, each thrust a full reclamation. The leather sighed beneath them. Her moans were low, continuous, a broken soundtrack to the act.
“Who do you belong to?” he demanded, picking up the pace. The slaps of their flesh meeting grew louder, more rhythmic.
“You,” she gasped. “Fuck, you, DJ!”
“Say it again.”
“I belong to you! This pussy is yours!”
Her words, so filthy and absolute, sent a jolt of pure animal triumph through him. He fucked her harder, faster, his control slipping. The power wasn’t just in owning her, but in her vocal, desperate surrender to that ownership. He slapped her ass again, on the other cheek, marking her symmetry. She screamed, a raw, ragged sound that seemed to feed her arousal.
“Harder!” she begged, pushing back against him. “Please, god, use it, use your fucking property!”
He obliged, his thrusts becoming punishing, jackhammer blows that drove her forward on the sofa. The frame creaked in protest. Her pleas dissolved into mindless, choked sobs of yes and more and please. He could feel the telltale clenching deep inside her, the frantic fluttering that signaled her peak.
He wasn’t ready for her to come. Not yet.
He pulled out suddenly, completely.
She whimpered in protest, a sound of pure loss. “No, no, please…”
“Stay,” he commanded, his voice hoarse.
He was throbbing, aching, his balls tight. He gripped himself, stroking twice, his eyes locked on the sight of her spread open and glistening, her back heaving. With a guttural groan, he came. Thick, hot ropes of semen shot across the small of her back, painting stark white stripes on her pale skin.
She shuddered at the sensation but held still.
He breathed heavily, spent. He watched his release pulse onto her, marking her. Then he stepped forward. He used his fingers, still slick with his own come, and smeared it across her skin, down the cleft of her ass. He didn’t stop there. He pressed a single, slick finger against her other hole, the tight, forbidden ring of muscle.
She flinched, but didn’t pull away.
He pushed, just an inch, a slow, obscene penetration. “This too,” he whispered, his mouth close to her ear. “Every part of you. Every dirty, secret part.” He worked his finger just inside her, feeling her impossible tightness, mixing his spend with her own slickness. “That’s your inheritance,” he breathed, the words foul and intimate. “Spread across your skin. Seeping into your cracks. Remember that. Every time you sit on a boardroom chair, you’ll feel it.”
He withdrew his finger. She collapsed onto the sofa, a boneless heap, her body trembling. He straightened up, tucking himself away. He looked down at her, at the glistening mess on her back, at the red handprints on her ass. A masterpiece of possession.
After a moment, she rolled onto her side, facing him. Her expression was drained, blank. Then she lifted a hand, brought her fingers to the mess on her lower back, and gathered some. She looked at the viscous white on her fingertips, then slowly, deliberately, put them in her mouth, sucking them clean.
The act was so profoundly debased, so utterly accepting, that it stole his breath.
“When do I move in?” she asked, her voice steady, as if she’d just commented on the weather.
He laughed, a short, surprised burst of sound. “Tomorrow. The crew is coming to clear her shit out in the morning. Then it’s yours. The room down the hall. Furnish it how you want.”
She nodded, sitting up. She reached for her discarded dress, but didn’t put it on. She just held it in her lap. “My mother called me. From a payphone. She’s at a motel on the interstate.”
He poured himself another finger of bourbon, offered her the glass. She took it, swallowed it neat, her face impassive.
“What did she want?”
“A lifeline. Money. A place to stay. She said… she said you corrupted me.” Sienna looked at the empty glass. “She said I was making a deal with the devil.”
“And what did you tell her?”
Sienna stood, facing him naked, his come drying on her skin. She walked to the window, to the breathtaking view of the city he owned a piece of. “I told her the devil offered a better contract.” She turned back, a cold, sharp smile on her face. “And then I hung up.”
He crossed the room, drawn to her. This creature he’d forged from betrayal and greed. He cupped her cheek, his thumb wiping away a stray smudge of his own release she’d missed. “You’re perfect.”
The intercom system buzzed, a harsh electronic bleat. The doorman’s voice, filtered and tinny. “Mr. Jacobs? There’s a woman here. A Laura Jacobs? She’s insisting on coming up. She’s… quite distressed.”
DJ and Sienna looked at each other. A silent communication passed between them, an understanding that was deeper than any spoken alliance.
“Send her up,” DJ said, his voice cool. He released the button.
Sienna didn’t scramble for her dress. She didn’t move to clean herself. She simply walked to the leather sofa, the one still warm from their fucking, and sat down. She arranged herself, a portrait of naked, marked indifference, one leg crossed over the other. She left the evidence on full display.
The elevator dinged.
The doors opened. Laura stepped out, and she looked like a ghost of the woman who had lived here. Her eyes were swollen, her clothes rumpled. She carried a single, cheap duffel bag. She took in the bare walls, the boxes, the emptiness. Then her gaze landed on the sofa.
On her daughter, naked and violated. On the man standing over her.
Her mouth fell open. A sound, small and broken, escaped her.
Sienna looked at her mother, her expression blank. “You’re not welcome here, Laura,” she said, her voice chillingly polite. “The divorce is final. This is DJ’s property now. And I’m his guest.”
Laura’s eyes darted from the handprints on Sienna’s ass to the drying streaks on her back, to DJ’s calm, triumphant face. The full, horrific understanding crashed over her. It wasn’t just that she’d lost her husband. She’d lost her daughter to him. Not through manipulation, but through a willing, calculated transfer.
“You… you monster,” Laura whispered, the words aimed at DJ but her eyes locked on Sienna’s impassive face.
“No,” Sienna corrected softly, leaning back into the leather. “I’m the beneficiary.”
