Chapter 1: Introduction
@Venux
The fluorescent lights hummed a monotonous tune above the sleek conference table. The air was thick with tension and the hum of machinery, a stark contrast to the vibrant, pulsating nightlife Sable was about to infiltrate. She sat at the table, her hands folded in her lap, her eyes scanning the impersonal walls of the meeting room. Her black combat boots tapped nervously against the linoleum floor, the only sound disrupting the sterile silence.
M, the head of the agency, leaned back in his chair, his fingers steepled beneath his chin. "Sable, you're our best agent.
You've got the skills, the brains, the fucking guts," M began, his eyes narrowing as he looked at her. "But this mission... it requires something more."
Sable shifted in her seat, her tight ponytail swishing against her back. "More?" she echoed, her brow furrowing. "Like what? New intel? More firepower?"
M chuckled, a low, grim sound. "No, Sable. Not that kind of 'more'. This mission requires you to infiltrate an organization that feeds off desire, off lust. You need to be able to...
how do I put this delicately?" M paused, his gaze flicking to the door before continuing. "You need to be able to seduce your target. Get him to trust you, want you."
Sable's chest tightened. Seduce? She'd spent her career honing her combat skills, her stealth, her marksmanship. Seduction was a foreign language to her. She let out a slow breath, her fingers tapping against the table. "And you think I can't... pull that off?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
M leaned forward, his elbows on the table.
"It's not that you can't, Sable. It's just... your natural reserve might make things difficult. We need you to be... more assertive. More alluring."
Sable crossed her arms, her eyes flicking to the door. "And how do you suggest I do that? Take a seduction crash course?"
M shook his head. "No, nothing so conventional. We have something... different in mind. Something that will enhance your physical attributes, boost your libido. Make you irresistible."
Sable's eyes widened. "You want to drug me?"
M held up a hand. "Not a drug, Sable.
A temporary enhancement," M corrected. "Something experimental. It's called Venux. It's designed to heighten your senses, enhance your physical attributes, make you... desirable."
Sable's eyebrows shot up. "Desirable? And who the hell invented this stuff?" she asked, her voice laced with skepticism.
M pressed a button on the intercom. "Professor Thorne, would you join us please?"
A few moments later, the door swung open to reveal a man in his late forties, his graying temples and disheveled hair giving him an eccentric appearance. He smiled, his intense eyes scanning Sable.
"Ah, Sable, I presume?" he said, extending a hand towards her.
Sable leaned back in her chair, sizing him up. "That's me," she replied, nodding and taking his hand. "And you must be the mad scientist behind this drug?"
Thorne chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Mad, perhaps. But a scientist, yes. I'm Professor Thorne, and I assure you, Venux is no mere drug. It's a breakthrough."
Sable raised an eyebrow.
"A breakthrough, huh? So, what makes it so special?"
Thorne leaned against the table, his hands folded in front of him. "Venux is designed to temporarily enhance certain physical attributes. It will increase your libido, make you more...physically appealing," he explained, his eyes scanning Sable's athletic frame. "And it has the added benefit of making you more open, more receptive. Less inhibited."
Thorne paused, his eyes flicking to M before continuing. "Think of it as... a confidence boost. A physical and psychological enhancement all in one."
Sable's arms were still crossed, her skepticism clear in her expression. "And what's the catch? Because there's always a catch."
Thorne shrugged, a small smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "Well, there are some side effects. Nothing too serious, mind you. Just some... temporary changes."
He leaned forward slightly, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "For instance, you might experience some... breast and hip growth. Just temporary, of course. And while we're on the subject of changes, you might also notice an increase in your... appetite."
Sable uncrossed her arms and leaned forward. "Appetite? You mean like, for food?"
Thorne chuckled, "No, no, not for food. For other... things."
Sable flushed, her cheeks turning a soft shade of pink. "Other things? You mean... sex?"
Thorne nodded. "Exactly.
But don't worry, it's all temporary. Three days, tops," Thorne assured her, his hands gesturing in the air. "And in the meantime, you'll be the belle of the ball. Irresistible, seductive, unforgettable."
Sable's eyes widened, her mind racing with the implications. She could feel her heart pounding in her chest, her palms growing sweaty. "And what about... my ability to do my job? My intelligence, my training?"
Thorne waved a hand dismissively. "Ah, a small price to pay for such a transformation.
I assure you, your instincts, your reflexes, they'll be sharper than ever," Thorne said with a confident smile. "Now, I know what you might be thinking, but trust me, this isn't some crude aphrodisiac. Venux is a sophisticated blend of natural and synthetic compounds designed to tap into your body's full potential."
Sable's eyes narrowed, her mind racing over the implications. "And what about... control? I need to be able to control myself, my actions. Especially on this mission."
Thorne's smile faded slightly, and he looked to M, who gave a subtle nod. "Ah, yes.
Control," Thorne said, his eyes flicking to M again. "That's a valid concern. But remember, Sable, you're not a helpless bystander. You're an elite agent. Venux will enhance your instincts, your senses. You'll know what's happening, what you're doing. It's just... you might have more... enthusiasm than usual."
Sable's brow furrowed. "Enthusiasm? I'm not sure that's a word I'd use to describe my usual behavior."
Thorne chuckled. "Precisely my point. Venux will give you a newfound...
zest for life, shall we say. But don't worry, you'll still be you. Just a more... vivacious, passionate version of yourself."
Sable bit her lip, her mind a whirlwind of doubts and fears. "I don't know, M. I'm not sure I'm comfortable with this. What if I can't control it? What if I... fail?"
M leaned forward, his eyes locking onto hers. "Sable, I know this isn't easy. But this mission is crucial. And you're the best agent for the job. With Venux, you'll be unstoppable.
But if you're truly not comfortable, we can look into other options." M rose from his seat, his expression softening. "Let's take a break, regroup. Think about it, Sable. This is a big decision, and I want you to be sure." Sable nodded, her hands still folded in her lap. She let out a slow breath, her eyes flicking between M and Professor Thorne. The wheels in her head were turning, calculating the risks and the potential rewards.
She knew she was the best asset for this mission. She had the skills, the training, the determination. But could she handle the added... complication of Venux? Could she trust herself to maintain control, to stay focused on the mission amidst the storm of heightened senses and desires?
A few moments passed in silence. The hum of the fluorescent lights seemed to grow louder, the ticking of the wall clock more pronounced.
Sable's fingers tapped a rhythm on the table, her thoughts racing like a high-speed train. She looked at M, his expression expectant, then at Professor Thorne, who seemed to be radiating excitement. She felt a pang of unease, her gut twisting in apprehension.
"Alright," she finally said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'll do it. I'll take the... Venux."
M's eyes widened in surprise, followed by a satisfied nod. "Excellent, Sable.
I'll feel better knowing you'll have every advantage on this mission," M said, his expression turning reassuring. He pressed the intercom button on the table. "Dr. Sabrina Wheel, would you and Tom please join us? We need to prepare for the Venux administration."
M rose from his chair, his eyes lingering on Sable for a moment longer before he turned to leave. "I trust you'll take good care of Sable, Doctor. Excuse me, I have some other matters to attend to." With that, he strode out of the room, the door clicking shut behind him.
Sable sat in her chair, her breath hitching in her chest as she realized the weight of her decision. She looked at Professor Thorne, his eyes shining with a mix of excitement and anticipation. "So, what now?" Sable asked, her voice steady despite the storm of emotions raging inside her. Professor Thorne smiled, his eyes gleaming with a mix of professionalism and excitement.
"Well, Sable, we have a few preliminary steps before we can administer the Venux. I'll leave that in the capable hands of Dr. Wheel and her assistant."
As if on cue, the door opened, revealing Dr. Sabrina Wheel and her assistant, Tom. Dr. Wheel was a striking woman in her late twenties, her professional attire accentuating her curves. Tom, a tall, muscular man in his early thirties, followed closely behind her, his eyes darting around the room.
"Hello, Sable," Dr. Wheel said, her voice warm and professional. "I understand you've agreed to participate in our Venux trial. I'm here to guide you through the process."
Sable nodded, her eyes flicking between Dr. Wheel and Tom. "Yeah, I guess so.
What do we need to do?" Sable replied, her voice barely above a whisper, her palms sweating despite the cool air in the room.
Dr. Wheel smiled, her eyes warm and reassuring. "First, we need to get you comfortable.
It's important that you feel at ease before we begin," Dr. Wheel explained, gesturing to the large couch against the wall. Sable nodded, standing up and making her way over to the couch. She sat down, her hands fidgeting with the hem of her cargo pants.
"Now, Sable, I want you to take a deep breath. Inhale slowly, and exhale even slower," Dr. Wheel instructed, her voice soothing. Sable followed her instructions, her breath coming out in a slow sigh.
"That's it," Dr. Wheel said, her eyes locked onto Sable's.
"Now, I'll need to check your vitals and make sure you're in good health to receive the Venux.
Any allergies, pre-existing conditions I should know about?"
Sable shook her head, her eyes following Dr. Wheel as she pulled out a stethoscope and blood pressure cuff from her medical bag. "No, nothing serious.
Just the usual bumps and bruises from the job."
Dr. Wheel nodded, her fingers deftly taking Sable's pulse. "Good.
Well, let's get started then.
Tom, could you please lower the blinds and secure the door?
Dr. Wheel's request was immediate, and Tom sprang into action. He moved to the window, pulling the blinds down with a soft click, bathing the room in a dim, warm light. The door was swiftly closed and locked, the sound of the latch clicking into place echoing in the now-quiet room. Sable looked around, her heart pounding in her chest as the weight of the situation settled over her.
"What's the rush?" Sable asked, her eyes darting between Dr. Wheel and Tom. "Is something wrong?"
Dr. Wheel smiled reassuringly, her eyes softening. "Not at all, Sable. It's simply a precaution. We want to ensure your privacy and comfort during this process.
The Venux will be administered via a small injection in the upper arm. Afterwards, we'll observe you for two hours to monitor any initial reactions. Nothing to worry about, Sable. This is a standard procedure," Dr. Wheel explained, her voice as soothing as a lullaby.
Sable looked at Dr. Wheel, then at Professor Thorne, and finally at Tom, who was now stationed by the door, his eyes scanning the room. "You're all going to... watch me?" she asked, her voice a mix of unease and disbelief.
Dr. Wheel nodded, her smile never wavering. "Yes, Sable. It's crucial that we monitor your initial response to the drug. Venux can be quite... potent," Dr. Wheel said, her eyes gleaming with a mix of professionalism and excitement.
Sable swallowed hard, her mind racing. "Okay," she finally said, her voice barely a whisper. "Let's get this show on the road."
Dr. Wheel nodded, her smile fading into a look of focused determination. She retrieved a small vial from her bag and handed it to Professor Thorne. "Prepare the dose, please."
Thorne took the vial with a reverent nod, his fingers dancing over the glass with practiced ease. He drew the clear liquid into a syringe, his eyes never leaving Sable's. "Ready, Sable?" he asked, his voice low and steady.
Sable took a deep breath, her eyes locked onto the syringe in Thorne's hands. She could feel her heart pounding in her chest, her body already beginning to shake with a mix of fear and anticipation.
"Yeah, I'm ready," Sable said, her voice barely above a whisper.
