Chapter 2: Building Tension
The cell door creaked open, the rusted hinges groaning in complaint as they gave way to the heavy, booted footsteps that echoed through the narrow hallway. Jim, still naked from the waist down, remained sprawled over the unforgiving wooden chair, his body shivering with a mix of cold and adrenaline. He could feel the welts on his ass burning like a thousand tiny suns, the pain a constant, throbbing reminder of his penance.
Silas filled the doorway, his broad shoulders blocking out the dim light from the hallway.
His thick beard was streaked with sweat, his chest heaving from the exertion of the paddling. The paddle still rested in his massive hand, the wood dark with Jim’s blood and sweat. His eyes, cold and calculating, raked over Jim’s exposed body with something between amusement and hunger.
"You took that better than I expected," Silas rumbled, his voice a deep, gravelly growl. "Most men would’ve been screaming by now."
Jim’s breath came in ragged gasps, his body trembling from the pain. His ass was a swollen, throbbing mess, the skin hot and tender beneath his fingertips. He didn’t look up, keeping his gaze fixed on the rough wood of the chair.
“I’ve had worse.”
Silas chuckled, a low, menacing sound that sent a fresh wave of fear coursing through Jim. The executioner stepped farther into the cell, his heavy boots echoing against the cold stone floor. He closed the door behind him, the key turning in the lock with a finality that made Jim’s heart pound even harder.
“That’s what they say,” Silas murmured, his voice dropping to a low, dangerous purr. “But I think we both know you’ve never had me.”
Jim’s head snapped up, his eyes meeting Silas’s.
