Chapter 1: Introduction
The lab hummed with a familiar, low electrical buzz, the air thick with the usual cocktail of chemicals that had become my daily bread. I adjusted my glasses, the lenses fogging up slightly from the humidity, and scrutinized the latest batch of test tubes lined up on my workbench. The scent of isopropyl alcohol and acetone hung heavy in the air, overpowering the usual sterile, antiseptic smell of the lab.
I was on the verge of something big. I could feel it in my bones, the same way I'd felt it when I'd first discovered the formula for my acne cream.
That electric tingle of possibility, the thrill of the unknown. I leaned in, my nose inches from the test tube, inhaling deeply. The scent was faint, barely noticeable, but it was there—a sweet, musky aroma that seemed to dance on the edge of my consciousness.
I was about to dip my finger into the mixture when I heard the lab door creak open. I turned, expecting to see my assistant, but instead, I found myself face to face with Dr. Amelia Hart, my colleague and the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen. Her red hair cascaded down her shoulders like a waterfall of fire, her green eyes sparkling with intelligence and curiosity.
She was dressed in a white lab coat, but it did little to hide her curves, the fabric clinging to her body in all the right places. I swallowed hard, my mouth suddenly dry.
"Ed, what are you working on?" she asked, her voice as smooth and intoxicating as the scent in the test tube. She stepped closer, her heels clicking on the tiled floor, her eyes scanning the workbench.
"Just a new scent I've been working on," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper. I turned back to the test tube, my heart pounding in my chest. "It's supposed to enhance... arousal."
Amelia raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing on her lips.
"Arousal, huh? Sounds interesting. Can I see?"
I hesitated, my fingers still hovering over the test tube. "It's... not quite ready yet. I'm still testing the concentrations. And you can't really see much. Haha . But you can smell of you want"
I said, trying to hide the nervousness in my voice. She leaned in, her breath hot on my ear, her lips brushing against my skin. "Let me smell it," she said.
