Chapter 2: Extra Credit
The clock on the wall ticked from 12:59 to 1:00.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
“Come in.”
The handle turned. The door opened just enough for her to slide through, then clicked shut. She stood with her back against it, a silhouette against the wood. Paula. In her uniform skirt and blouse, her soccer bag slung over one shoulder. His eyes slid up and down her body, devouring her openly.
“Sit,” he said, nodding to the chair. She crinkled her nose in a petulant sneer and complied, slinging her backpack onto the chair beside her with a thud. Clearly, some of Paula's trademark attitude had resurfaced since this morning.
Clearly, some of Paula’s trademark attitude had resurfaced since this morning. She didn’t look scared anymore. She looked pissed. “Alright,” she said, crossing her arms tightly under her chest. “I did some thinking. I’m not doing anything. You’re gonna tear up that expulsion form and give me a passing grade on the Melville paper.”
Martin simply blinked, a slow, reptilian motion. “Am I?”
“Yeah. Or I go to the school board.” A smug, victorious little smile played on her lips. She’d clearly practiced this in her head. “I’ll tell them everything. How you threatened me. How you tried to make me… do things. They’ll fire your gross old ass so fast.”
The silence that followed was different from the one this morning. It wasn’t tense. It was amused.
A low, rumbling sound started in Martin’s chest. It built into a full, hearty laugh that shook his shoulders and made his eyes water. He didn’t try to stifle it. He leaned back in his chair and let it out, a raw, genuine sound of delight that echoed off the wood-paneled walls. Paula’s smug smile faltered, then vanished.
“Oh, Paula,” he wheezed, wiping a tear from the corner of his eye. “The school board? You sweet, stupid girl.” He shook his head, the laughter subsiding into a wide, pitying grin. “Buddy Rourke, the chairman? He was my college roommate. We got arrested together for public intoxication in ‘82. Linda Crestwood, the secretary? I coached her son through summer school so he could keep his football eligibility. They are my Tuesday night poker game.”
He watched the color drain from her face, her confident pose collapsing inward.
“You think they’d take the word of a cheating student over mine?” His voice was gentle, almost instructional. “They’d thank me for trying to give you a private lesson in consequences. They might even suggest I was too lenient.”
He stood up then, not with urgency, but with a casual, terrifying ease. He walked around the corner of his desk, his shoes whispering on the industrial carpet. He stopped beside her chair, looming over her. The fluorescent light buzzed overhead.
“You have no leverage,” he said, his voice quiet and flat.
His hands went to his belt. The metallic scrape of the zipper was deafening in the quiet room. Paula’s breath hitched, her eyes wide and fixed on his hands. He didn’t look at her. He looked out the window, as if bored. He reached into the opening of his trousers.
What he pulled out was already thick and heavy, a flushed, ruddy weight in his hand. Even partially soft, it was obscenely substantial, far surpassing the inexperienced, boyish things she’d fumbled with in the backs of cars. It was a man’s flesh, virile and intimidating, a stark physical truth that rendered all her threats and plans utterly meaningless. Within minutes, she had gone from her customary caustic aggression to stunned defeat. Paula felt a white-hot heat suffusing her face and body, like nothing she had ever felt before. It was a mixture of humiliation, and though she didn't want to admit it, arousal.
"Now, I believe I owe you a lesson. Come here, Miss Appel. You'll learn nothing unless you're hands-on."
The command hung in the stale air, final as a judge’s gavel. Paula didn’t move from the chair. She stared at his heavy flesh, her mind a white-noise static of revulsion and a terrifying, curious heat. This was real. It was happening. Her eyes flicked to the desk drawer where her future was locked away.
“I won’t,” she whispered, but the words had no force.
“You will,” he replied, his voice not angry, but patiently explanatory, as if discussing a missed homework assignment. “Or you can leave. The door isn’t locked. But that form gets faxed to the district office before you reach the parking lot.” He gave his grip a slight, possessive squeeze. “So decide. Be a dropout, or be a good student.”
A violent tremor ran through her. It started in her hands and traveled up her arms, making her shoulders shake. She felt unmoored, like she was watching a different girl in a bad movie. This girl stood up on legs that felt boneless. This girl took two shuffling steps forward on the industrial carpet, the fibers gritty under her sneakers. She stopped, close enough to smell his aftershave, a sharp, chemical pine that clashed with the room’s older smells of dust and wood polish.
“On your knees,” he said.
The order was so direct, so medieval, it broke the last filament of her resistance. She sank down, the rough nap of the carpet biting into her knees through her tights. The perspective was suddenly, horribly intimate. The polished leather of his shoes, the faint pilling on his grey suit trousers, the imposing, fleshy reality of him at eye-level. Her stomach lurched.
“Touch it,” he instructed. “Your whole hand. Like you’re gripping a bat, not holding a phone.” Her fingers, cold and clumsy, rose. They hovered, trembling. “Now.”
She closed her hand around him. The heat was the first shock, a living, pulsing warmth that radiated into her palm. The skin was surprisingly soft over the unyielding core. She just held it, frozen.
“You have to move, Paula. Up. Then down. Use a firm, consistent pressure.” He sounded like a coach demonstrating a drill. “Like this.” He placed his own large, dry hand over hers and forced her through the motion, once, twice, his grip dominating hers. The friction was startling. “There. Now you do it.”
She pulled her hand from under his and began a tentative, jerking stroke. It was awkward, her wrist tense.
“Slower. You’re not jerking off some pimpled boy in his mom's minivan. This takes patience and delicacy.” He let out a low sigh as her rhythm improved slightly, her palm learning the shape and weight of him. “Good. Now, lean forward. Use your tongue. Just the tip, right at the head.”
She shut her eyes tight, blocking out the sight of his suit, his diploma, the world. In the dark, it was just a sensation. She leaned in, the heat intensifying against her face. Her tongue darted out, a quick, dry swipe. The taste was musky, salty, profoundly and unsettlingly male. She did it again, less timidly.
“Open your mouth,” he murmured. His fingers threaded into her hair, not yanking, but guiding, positioning. “Take just the head in. Suck, gently. Yes. Like that.”
As her mouth, warm and wet, tentatively enclosed him, Martin’s gaze drifted over her head to the bookshelf. His eyes landed on a worn, blue-spined copy of Moby-Dick. A smile touched his lips. Her tongue worked in nervous circles.
“It’s about a quest, you know,” he said, his voice taking on a lecturing tone, though it tightened slightly with building pleasure. “Ahab’s madness. The obsession that consumes a man, that makes him sacrifice everything—his ship, his crew, his very soul—just to possess the thing he fixates on.” He pushed his hips forward a fraction, feeling the back of her throat constrict. “It’s not about the whale. It’s about the wanting. The endless, hollow wanting that makes everything else taste like ash.”
Paula made a small, choked sound, her hands coming up to brace against his thighs. She was learning the rhythm now, her inexperience giving way to a determined, mechanical focus. His words washed over her, meaning nothing, just the distant drone of a teacher she had to please.
His breath hitched. The tentative strokes of her hand, the wet, warm pressure of her mouth, were coalescing into something overwhelming. The decades of fantasy in this very room, the pixelated ghosts, the frantic, lonely releases—they had been a dim rehearsal for this solid, sweating reality. He felt himself thickening, swelling fully against the confines of her lips, becoming the rigid, aching manifestation of his own sickness.
“Enough,” he breathed, his voice gravelly.
He pulled himself from her mouth with a soft, wet sound. Her lips were swollen, her eyes glazed and confused, a strand of saliva connecting her to him for a second before it broke. Without a word, his hands went to the hem of her stylish top. She stiffened but didn’t fight as he gathered the soft fabric. He tugged it up, over the surprised freeze of her arms, over her head, muffling her in cotton for a moment before discarding it on the floor behind her.
She knelt before him, stripped to her skirt and a simple, white cotton bra. The garment strained desperately, each cup overflowing with soft, heavy flesh. The sight punched the air from his lungs.
“There she is,” he whispered, all academic pretense gone, replaced by raw, reverent hunger.
His thick fingers fumbled with the front clasp. It gave way. The bra fell open, and her breasts spilled into his waiting hands, into the dim, institutional light. They were full and high, the skin creamy and flawless, tipped with large, pale pink aureoles. He weighed them, his thumbs brushing over the tight peaks, watching them pucker further under his touch. He’d imagined them, dreamed of them, but the reality was a physical shock—softer, heavier, more alive than any fantasy.
He had chased this feeling through a thousand empty days, through yearbook photos and glances in the hall. This was the haunting, the monomania. And now, she was here, unveiled and trembling under his hands. After all this time in his sterile, wooden ship, Principal Martin had finally captured his White Whale.
But this was not a novel. This was flesh. He leaned down, his mouth capturing one taut nipple, sucking it deep, his tongue swirling. Paula gasped, a sharp, involuntary sound that was not entirely pain. A jolt, electric and confusing, shot straight down her spine to her core. Her head fell back, a low moan escaping her lips as her hands, which had been pushing weakly at his thighs, now gripped the fabric of his trousers, holding on.
She was finding a rhythm here, too, a dark and submissive current in her sexuality that her brash, soccer-star persona had never touched. The humiliation was still there, a cold knot in her stomach, but it was tangled now with this shocking, spreading warmth, with the undeniable, addictive pull of physical sensation. He owned her future, and in this moment, he was mastering her body, and some deep, hidden part of her was yielding to it, was even, shamefully, craving his approval.
Martin switched to her other breast, lavishing it with the same rough attention, biting gently, then soothing with his tongue. His free hand slid down the curve of her side, over the swell of her hip, pulling her tighter against him. She was no longer just a means to an end or a symbol of his conquest. She was warm, yielding reality, and he was only just beginning.
She was warm, yielding reality, and he was only just beginning.
“Look at me,” he said, his voice thick.
Her eyes, glazed and distant, focused on his face with effort. The haughty spark from earlier was utterly gone, replaced by a dull, submissive sheen. He saw no love there, no desire, but something more useful: a numb, operational acceptance. She was following the script, step by terrible step, because the alternative was an abyss. Her fingers, still gripping his trousers, tightened briefly, then relaxed.
“Stand up.” He guided her to her feet, his hands rough on her bare shoulders. Her breasts swayed heavily as she rose, the cool office air pebbling her skin. He walked her backward until the edge of his polished desk pressed into the back of her thighs. “Now turn around. Bend over. Put your hands flat on the desk.”
She moved like an automaton, each gesture slow and deliberate. The world had narrowed to this room, these commands, the gritty feel of the oak under her palms. She stared at the grain of the wood, at a deep scratch near the edge, focusing on that instead of the sounds behind her: the rustle of clothing, the soft thump of his shoes being toed off.
He sat down heavily in his high-backed leather chair, the one from which he’d delivered a thousand sterile verdicts on detentions and suspensions. It groaned under his weight. From this new vantage, the framed diploma and the mayor’s smiling photo were tilted spectators on the wall behind her bent form.
“Now,” he said, spreading his thighs. “Come here. Kneel between my legs.”
Paula pushed off the desk and turned, her movements fluid now, devoid of her earlier jerky resistance. She sank back to the carpet, her knees making a soft sound on the pile. She looked at him, waiting for the next instruction, her expression blank. The calculation was gone. Only the task remained.
“Use your mouth again. Just to get it wet.”
She leaned forward, her hair falling around her face, and took him into her mouth with a hollowed cheek. She worked him slowly, thoroughly, a low hum vibrating in her throat. When she pulled back, a thick string of saliva bridged her glistening lips to the swollen, purple head.
“Good,” he breathed. “Now. Lift them up. Hold them together for me.”
Her hands, which had seemed so clumsy before, were sure as she cupped the heavy undersides of her breasts. She pushed them together, creating a deep, soft canyon of flushed skin. The sight was so profoundly lewd, so perfectly aligned with every desperate fantasy he’d ever harbored in this room, that he felt lightheaded.
“Closer.”
She shuffled forward on her knees, the rough carpet scraping her skin. She positioned herself until the tip of him brushed the soft, warm notch at the top of her cleavage. A drop of her spit gleamed there. She looked up at him, her eyes questioning.
“Now move,” he commanded, his voice tight.
Paula began to rock forward and back on her knees. She used her saliva, adding more from her mouth with a quick lick of her palm when the friction grew, to slide his cock up and down between her tits. The sensation was a tight, slick, consuming heat, utterly different from her hand or her mouth. Somehow, she’d accepted her fate, and all that was in her mind right now was doing what he asked, pleasing him. Her face was a mask of concentration, her brow slightly furrowed, her lips parted as she focused on the rhythm, on keeping the pressure just right.
He couldn’t believe how sexy she looked with her huge tits wrapped around his cock. This was the girl from the soccer flyers, the one who led cheers from the sidelines, the untouchable senior whose laughter echoed down the hall. Now she was on her knees in his private office, her body slick with sweat and spit, her expression one of intense, obedient focus. His hands came up to frame her face, his thumbs stroking her cheekbones, a grotesque parody of tenderness.
“Look at you,” he murmured, more to himself than to her. “Perfect.”
Her rhythm hitched for a second, a faint tremor passing through her. A single, clear thought broke her trance: If I do this really well, maybe he’ll fix my chemistry grade, too. It was a transaction. She understood those. She increased the pace, tilting her chin down to watch, fascinated in spite of herself by the surreal, glistening sight of him moving between the pale mounds of her own flesh.
A low, guttural sound was building in Martin’s chest. His fingers tightened in her hair. The careful control he’d wielded all afternoon, the predatory patience, was fraying at the edges. The fantasy was no longer pixels on a screen or the ghost of a touch in a crowded hallway. It was here, warm and breathing and wrapped tightly around him. His hips began to lift off the chair to meet her motions.
“Don’t stop,” he gritted out, the words a strained plea. His head fell back against the headrest, his eyes squeezing shut against the fluorescent glare. The institutional hum of the light was the sound of his whole life, the backdrop to this final, deviant triumph. Thirty years of polished emptiness culminated in this slick, muffled sound of flesh on flesh.
His breath came in sharp, ragged gasps. The pressure was a coiling spring in his gut, tightening beyond bearing. A violent shudder racked his frame.
