Chapter 4: The Serpent's Surprise
The dark was absolute, a suffocating blanket that pressed against Logan's eyes. He'd been in the dark before, more times than he could count, but this was different. This was a darkness that breathed, that watched, that waited.
He had the straps off his ankles within seconds, the shredded leather falling away like dead skin. His body was still humming, the aftereffects of Viper's poison and the forced climax leaving him feeling raw and scraped out. But he could feel his healing factor working overtime, knitting tissue, clearing toxins, restoring strength that had been sapped.
He rose from the chair, his bare feet finding the cold tile. The red emergency lights had cut out completely, leaving only the faint, sickly glow of a distant emergency exit sign. It cast a greenish pall across the room, just enough to make out shapes, shadows, the jagged silhouettes of machinery.
His claws were out. He could feel them, the familiar pressure in his knuckles, the slick wetness of them as they clicked through their housings. Adamantium. Indestructible. Built for one thing.
She was here somewhere. He could smell her—that mix of perfume and something chemical, something dangerous. It was coming from his left, deeper into the facility.
He moved, silent as a predator, his feet barely whispering against the floor. The room opened into a corridor, then another, each one more sterile than the last. The air was warmer here, more humid, and it carried new scents: sweat, arousal, anticipation.
And then he saw her.
She was standing in the center of what looked like an operating theater, a single overhead light illuminating her like a specimen on a slide. The black bodysuit was gone, replaced by a white lab coat and nothing else. She was completely naked beneath it, the coat hanging open to reveal the long lines of her body—the curve of her hips, the dark triangle of hair between her thighs, the hard points of her nipples.
"Logan," she said, and her voice was a purr. "I knew you'd find your way here."
"Cut the shit." He advanced, his claws catching the light. "I'm done playing your games."
"Oh, but we've barely begun." She smiled, and something in her eyes shifted—a gleam that wasn't quite human. "Phoenix, heel."
The word hit him like a physical blow. His body froze mid-stride, his claws retracting with a soft snikt. He tried to move, tried to fight, but his legs wouldn't obey. It was like his limbs had been disconnected from his will, hijacked by something colder, something stronger.
"What the fuck—"
"Shhh." She stepped closer, the lab coat swaying around her thighs. "Don't fight it, Logan. You'll only make it harder on yourself."
He could feel it now—a presence in his head, cold and serpentine, wrapping around his consciousness like a coil of steel. It wasn't telepathy, not exactly, but something more insidious. A command buried so deep in his instincts that he couldn't distinguish it from his own will.
"Phoenix," she repeated, savoring the word. "That's what we're going to call you now. A new name for a new purpose. You're going to be my perfect weapon."
"Go... fuck... yourself..." He gritted the words out, every syllable a battle.
She laughed. "Such defiance. It's one of the things I love about you. But we're going to train that out of you, sweetheart. We're going to break you down and build you back up into something beautiful."
She was close now. Close enough that he could smell her, that familiar scent of poison and sex. She reached out, her fingers trailing along his jaw, and he felt a shudder run through him that he couldn't control.
"You remember the kiss, Logan? The way my venom worked through your system?" She traced his lower lip. "That was just a taste. A sample. The real dose is inside you now, woven into your very DNA. Every time I say the word, you'll obey. Every time I touch you, you'll crave more."
"It won't work," he snarled, but even as he said it, he felt his body leaning into her touch.
"It already is." She stepped back, and the movement made the lab coat fall open further, revealing the full length of her body. "On your knees, Phoenix."
His legs buckled. He hit the floor hard, the impact jarring through his knees, and he stared up at her, his mind screaming defiance while his body knelt.
"That's my good boy." She circled him slowly, her bare feet padding against the tile. "You see, Logan, you're not the first unbreakable man I've been asked to handle. But you're the first one I've been told to break. And I intend to do a thorough job."
She stopped in front of him, and her fingers found his hair, tilting his head back so he had to look at her.
"Open your mouth."
"Fuck you."
She sighed, disappointed. "I gave you a command, Phoenix. Open your mouth."
His jaw unhinged against his will, his teeth parting, his body obeying before his mind could refuse. He watched himself do it, a spectator in his own skin, and the horror of it was almost enough to break him.
"Good." She stepped closer, positioning herself in front of him. The lab coat hung open, and he could see the glistening slickness between her thighs, the evidence of her own arousal. "You're going to worship my cunt until I come, Phoenix. You're going to lick me, and you're going to love it. We both know you're going to love it."
She pressed forward, and his mouth was filled with her.
Logan's first instinct was to bite, to clamp down and tear, but his jaws refused to close. Instead, his tongue extended, lapping at her folds with a hunger that made him want to vomit. She tasted like salt and something sweet, something poisonous, and his body responded to it with a desperate, animalistic need that he couldn't control.
"That's it," she moaned, her fingers tightening in his hair. "Fucking feast on me, Phoenix. Make me come with that filthy tongue of yours."
He hated her. He hated every inch of her, every taste of her, every second of this humiliation. But his tongue kept moving, tracing patterns against her flesh, finding her clit and circling it with a practiced rhythm that made her gasp.
"Jesus, yes..." Her hips began to grind against his face, rocking in time with his movements. "You're so good at this. All that animal instinct, finally put to use."
He wanted to scream. He wanted to claw his own tongue out. But all he could do was service her, his mouth working her slick flesh, his chin slick with her arousal.
She came quickly, her body shuddering, her climax washing over her in waves. She cried out, something between a moan and a shout, and then she pulled back, her chest heaving.
"Perfect," she breathed. "Absolutely perfect."
She reached down and hauled him to his feet, her strength surprising. His body swayed, lightheaded, and she led him to a table in the corner of the room, its surface cold and steel.
"Onto your back."
He climbed onto the table without hesitation, his arms and legs moving without his consent. He lay there, rigid, staring up at the ceiling as she climbed up beside him.
"You've earned a reward, Phoenix," she murmured, straddling his hips. "And I'm going to take it."
She reached down and guided him into her, sliding down his length with a moan that was almost tender. He felt himself harden inside her, his body betraying him as it always did, and he bit back a scream of pure, unadulterated rage.
"Look at you," she whispered, her hips beginning to move. "So strong. So unbreakable. And yet here you are, completely in my power."
"You'll pay for this," he said, the words forced through clenched teeth. "I'll fucking kill you."
"In your dreams, Phoenix." She leaned down, her breasts brushing against his chest, her lips hovering near his ear. "But right now, you're going to fuck me, just like you want to. Just like you've always wanted to."
She was right. That was the worst part. Even through the hatred, the fury, the violation—his body was responding to her, his cock thrusting up to meet her, his hips bucking in rhythm with hers. He could feel himself approaching the edge, feel the heat building in his gut.
"That's it," she whispered. "Come inside me, Phoenix. Make me feel it."
He came with a roar, his body arching off the table as he spilled into her. His vision went white, his mind went blank, and for a moment, there was nothing but the overwhelming sensation of release.
When he came back to himself, she was still straddling him, smiling down at him with that same infuriating satisfaction.
"Good boy," she said. And then she was gone, the lab coat swirling behind her as she slipped off the table and disappeared into the shadows.
Logan lay there, staring at the ceiling, his body spent and aching. The command was still there, coiled in his mind like a serpent, waiting for her to speak again.
But somewhere, deep beneath the poison and the mind-control and the violation, something else still burned.
Hatred. Red and raw and patient.
He'd find a way to break her hold. One day.
And when he did, she'd be the one begging.
