Chapter 1: Introduction
I walked into the cozy, modern apartment and paused to breathe it in. Warm, ambient light washed over plush furniture and sleek surfaces where my reflection glowed. I strolled towards the back, past the kitchen, and found my way to the bathroom. Its spacious elegance made me take a long, appreciative look around. A deep soaking tub, centered on the far wall, was enticing. Candles flickered and luxurious bath salts seemed to beckon.
A soft sound alerted me, causing me to glance over and discover her.
She wore a simple sundress, her dark hair cascading down her back in loose waves, her eyes sparkling with amusement. She stood by the tub, carefully sprinkling in the last of the bath salts before swirling the water.
"Took you long enough," she greeted, her voice low and melodic. "Finally ready to join me?"
With a small, knowing smile she gestured at the tub as if to say, "Come hither." It was a playful challenge, one I was more than willing to accept.
