Chapter 1: The confrontation
Alex Thompson stood before the two sets of double doors at the end of the dimly lit corridor. He was not entirely unfamiliar with these doors, or the woman whose office lay beyond them. But that did not change the fact that Alex's throat threatened to close up as he lifted his hand and rapped twice—polite, measured, and quite deliberate.
A moment passed before he heard the low murmur of Victoria's voice on the other side.
"Enter."
The doors swung open, revealing the sprawling office that was Victoria Martin's domain. It truly was an awe-inspiring sight to behold, decked out with finery of the highest order from top to bottom. The walls were lined with dark, solid wood paneling that sucked in the light and cast the entire room in an atmosphere of predatory mystery. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered a breathtaking view of the sprawling cityscape, yet they were tinted to such an extent that those inside could see everything without being seen themselves.
A sense of power radiated from this room, no doubt. There were opulent details everywhere — the sleek and polished mahogany desk that dominated the space, the plush leather swivel chair that sat squarely in front of it, and the luxurious couches and cabinets scattered around the periphery.
Alex took a steadying breath and stepped into the office, closing the door softly behind him. He found Victoria sitting in her plush mahogany chair, legs crossed at the knee, one delicate hand resting on the surface of her desk.
She greeted him with a chilly smile that sent a shiver down his spine.
"Mr. Thompson," she said, using a tone that was all business. "I trust you've come ready to discuss my position regarding your spending habits."
Alex swallowed hard, having not expected such a direct confrontation. "Yes, ma'am," he stammered, trying to rein in his rapidly accelerating heart rate. "I was hoping we could talk about it."
Victoria raised an eyebrow. "I saw the emails," she pointed out. "The detailed documentation.
The irrefutable proof that you've been stealing from me," she added, her voice barely containing the waves of disgust and anger she felt.
Alex lowered his gaze, unable to hold Victoria's steely glare any longer. "You're right. I shouldn't have done that. It was stupid and irresponsible," he muttered, feeling every inch the weasel he was.
Victoria watched him for a long moment, her expression unreadable. Then, she stood up from her chair, smoothing an imaginary wrinkle from her pencil skirt.
Her posture was as confident as ever, yet her heels clicked softly against the marble floor, signaling a shift in the power dynamic. Alex's heart fluttered in his chest as he stood up to meet her, knowing full well the consequences of his actions.
In a voice that dripped with unmistakable authority, she spoke, "You have a choice, Mr. Thompson.
I can either call the police and have you arrested, or you can make it up to me in any way I see fit."
Alex's heart pounded in his chest. The thought of going to jail for his actions was terrifying. But the prospect of pleasing Victoria in whatever twisted ways she desired was equally daunting.
"Wh-what do you want me to do?" He stammered, unable to hide the fear and desperation in his voice.
Victoria's eyes flashed with a hunger that made Alex's stomach drop.
"I want you to serve me, Alex.
I want you here in my office every Friday night for the rest of the month. And whatever I command you to do – you will do it without hesitation or argument."
Alex's eyes widened. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. He knew Victoria was a dominant woman, but he had never expected her to stoop to this level. And yet, as much as he wanted to storm out in anger and disgust, he couldn't deny the strange thrill that ran through him at the thought of serving her in this way.
He hated himself for it, but the possibility of pleasing her, of being at her mercy, was a perverse temptation that he couldn't resist.
"Very well," he heard himself say, as if from a distance. "I'll do it."
Victoria's lips curved into a satisfied smile. "Good," she said, and there was no mistaking the triumph in her voice.
Victoria Martin, the powerful CEO, stood up from her chair and walked around her desk, giving Alex Thompson a clear view of her physique. She was a stunning woman in her early thirties, with a slim figure, long legs, and pert breasts that were barely contained by her silk blouse. Her dark hair cascaded down her back in loose waves, and her piercing green eyes seemed to look right through him.
"See you on Friday," she said, dismissing him before turning away.
